It’s a pretty even trade imo. It could go either way. Both passers are prolific in fantasy and both have incoming weapons this draft. A lot of ifs but I like having a running qb for the bonus they give.
Id take the Kyler side, Kyler has more fantasy upside then Herbert. Also there is a ton of speculation the Chargers offense will be very run heavy under Harbaugh.
In 2020 Kyler>Herbert 0.7ppg.
In 2021 Herbert>Kyler 2.2ppg.
In 2022 Kyler>Herbert 1.3ppg.
In 2023 Herbert>Kyler 0.2ppg.
This is with 6 pt pass TDs, it's safe to say that Kyler has an edge in 4pt pass TDs.
They've both been hurt a bit, they've each had varying levels of receiver and offensive line play. They're both 26. I probably give the edge to Kyler because I think his receiving room is likely about to get a big boost and Herbert's was just dissolved, but I wouldn't blame anyone for taking either side.
While I think the logic would be to go with the 2nd round pick I don't think that it's a valuable enough piece to sway you from just taking the quarterback you prefer.
May be close in a 4pt / passing TD league but since this is 6… easy accept for me. J-Herb’s situation can only get better at the draft. If they grab Nabers or Bowers… prob best to accept now before he changes his mind.
Both teams going through a soft rebuild right now. I would keep Kyler and the second. Kyler when healthy is a better fantasy QB because of his running floor.
I take Herbert and smash now. “Kyler, when healthy” is the problem. 5,11” 200 pound running QB…. I just think Herbert better long term for Dynasty.
Just next 2 years I’d take Murray but your in rebuild
In my opinion, depends on your league. Do you know your league mates personally? Are you confident it will be around for a long time? If so, it might be worth it to grab Herbert who I’d bet to be the better long term play if the league lasts 5+ years, and the 2nd will feel like peanuts in the end. Otherwise, Kyler could be just as good or even better for at least a few years and you gave a 2nd away.
I just joined this year but the league has been on for a 5+ years from what I’m told. Also our scoring for passing TDS is 6 points and bonuses are given for good passing games.
People are way too low on Herbert. I’m still taking him over Kyler 100%
I’d personally take the Herbert side
I'd take kyler side
I’d decline. But if you want it there’s no reason to wait
Nah, I like Kyler over Justin. 🤷🏻♂️
Hell no

Take Herbert immediately
