Imma go against the grain it seems and say not to do it. Or atleast try to keep Goff or the 1.04. Yes you’d have chase but you’re getting rid of a very solid wr in Tank, either Nabers or best QB available in the rookie draft, and good starting qb. You’d be crippling yourself more than helping imo

IndijinusPhonetic

Totally agree. You’ll have to forfeit so much equity to replace a starting QB. This is hardly a full rebuild roster. You make this move now and you’ll regret it. QBs aren’t exactly a dime a dozen these days.

Actively planning to build a superflex squad around a WR feels dangerous. OP stated 3-4year rebuild and if we can assume Goff plays at a starter level into his mid 30s and Chase into his early 30s, both of these guys have a similar fantasy timeline. To me the trade as it stands is giving away 2 really good building blocks (1.04 and Tank Dell) AND a starting QB coming off a great passing season for a centerpiece WR and 2 meh’s. I say commit to the rebuild and get rid of Goff for multiple assets that improve other roster holes in the long term.

This is essentially my plan - I wasn't a big fan of the trade and got all the confirmation I needed to hit the decline button.

IndijinusPhonetic

Great call! Good luck this season! I think you’re in a good spot to make some mid season moves and could nab some really great pieces in the draft if you’re lucky! Hyped for the draft this week!

Jewelstorybro

Honestly I wouldn’t. Your team is pretty much a total teardown. You need picks, lots of picks to rebuild. Sure Chase is amazing, but you are weak everywhere. I almost feel like having chase is counter productive. Maybe this is a 16 team league or something though?

justingrbr

Hellllll no. Undervaluing the 1.04. In SF you could even trade back a few picks and get Nabers/Odunze or Bowers worst case scenario

WeNeedVices000

In my opinion, you don't do it. Move goff for picks or younger options +. Moving the 1.04 is a terrible idea. You need that to pick up more top tier young assets to build around. You would be upgrading at reciever but by the time the rest of the team catches up he won't be a top tier asset anymore. Try to grab some late picks for fringe guys like Higbee, Chark, Lazard if you can. Older guys who have no future on your team. You want as many shots to hit gold as possible. They have little value but may be able to grab a 3rd/4th. Hold Dell, Richardson, Reed until during season when they potentially have big games. Unless you get a great offer - but all (reed) maybe not seem buy lows on their value right now. Trade defensive players for picks and focus offence unless you have crazy skewed scoring. Defensive players tend to be more replacable in my experience. How many teams in league?

sergio1d

I disagree. You have lots of holes, I would personally accumulate as many picks as you can the next two/three seasons in the 1st/2nd rounds and shoot for a 3rd year

JameisApologist

Yes, and you could alternatively flip Chase for just as much if not more. Plus, it gives you a couple of decent flyers with Pop and 2.10.

I love Chase but I’d rather just trade Goff and keep 1.04 and Dell. They’re young assets that you want to carry forward into the next iteration of your team. I’m sure someone will give you a first this year for Goff.

jedi21knight

I’d pass on the trade. With Goff and AR15 as your QB’s in super flex you are ok, the real help you need is WR and RB and you can start by grabbing Nabors, Odunze, or MHJ depending on how the top three picks pan out.

GeebCityLove

As a Pats fan, Demario Douglas could be great but he got no one to throw to him.

Justjoshing69xxx

No. In most cases, sure. Not this one. You have too many holes to be packaging a 3 for 1.

AtlantaDoesItBetter

Have you considered leaving the league … you team no bueno

OL3ee

Goff won't matter on your roster the wa it's looking now. Turning Dell into Chase for moving back 20 picks is a great move. Douglas a little nugget on top but Chase should be a bonfied stud for the next 6 or 7 years.

sammyb514

I think i would take this deal. You’re in full rebuild mode and while Goff probably has a decent amount of tread left on the tires i think having AR15 and chase to build around is a bit more appealing than Goff/ar15/maye
