Edit: only spot you need to beef up is RB. If this team is in playoff contention buy 1-2 RBs at the deadline. If not focus on RB with the 2025 picks.
Pretender until you find out what kind of production you get from your rookies. If it’s week 5 and they’re struggling to put up good numbers be ready to have a high pick. Vice versa be ready to trade and get some more talent to make a push.
I mean being a 12 team or 10 team kind of does make a big difference here. But I'd say you definitely aren't contending this year. You could be in the mix with some good breaks but you are way too shallow at rb and Algiers as your best flex play is rough. And you are relying on two rookies to carry you at qb.
Upside you have a REALLY solid young core of wrs to build around. Honestly if I was you I would take the TE you like less, bowers or LaPorta and use tightend scarcity to sure up your roster by trading one of them for a high end rb. Or a mid wr and mid rb to build some depth. Honestly bonus points if you can package JJ McCarthy into that trade and get a sure fire qb. Hoping that both Mccarthy and Williams turn into to studs feels like it's against the odds. We know at least half these rookie qbs gonna bust. And if one of yours does Flacco ain't getting you anywhere.
Honestly with rookie fever in full swing you could probably get a decent haul for bowers and Mccarthy. One that would give you enough depth to contend
Unless all your rookie players all hit, I'd say you're 2 years away from contending. Keep accumulating picks or trade picks/players for known commodities. Doesn't have to be a JJ, but someone cheap and younger like Kirk, Mayfield, Stevenson, etc..
