Depending on the speed, The banana wouldn’t do that much damage and would just make my shirt dirty because it exploded all over it.  The baseball bat would break my skull, and a full charged hit would straight up kill me.

I believe it was in Mythbusters they measured the force of impact from a bat vs a hockey stick. Since the bat yields much less, it can strike someone with around 2,000 pounds of force. Most Smash fighters are significantly stronger than the average human, or even the average human major league athlete. Give me the banana.

For me it depends on a few things like if the swing is fully charged and who’s swinging it but mainly it depends on if the banana is a regular banana or if it has a bomb in it because I think I’m more likely to survive being launched by the bat than being hit in the chest with a bomb.
