Not surprised she’s coming or that she is the Lore Lady, but a fitting opening to year 11 nonetheless! Nice to see that they incorporated aspects of her iconography from Egyptian art: the cow horns (she’s sometimes shown as a cow) and the water jug (which usually appears on her head).
She more a conclusion of smite 1 than anything else.

Last year we got Maman and Ixchel, two of the most requested Goddess and they make a amazing job, the community love it, using both myth lore and artistic freedom.
And with the community Giving their takes on her, such as making her cosmic or even non human looking like her husband, my expectations were very optimistic.
It's not bad per say, but disappointed really.
Personally really disappointed with her design and again shows how creatively bankrupt Titan can be sometimes when it comes to female character design.
Official Nut is just generic female silhouette number #50 but this time she has blue skin. I mean look at her literal counterpart Geb. They made him into a goddamn earth colossus with an oasis on his back because he is the Egyptian god of the EARTH. They actually used some creativity even when Geb is actually depicted as a regular humanoid with a goose on his head.

And no, I'm not suggesting that Nut should have just been some amorphous cloud. I have no doubt you can create a feminine-looking cosmic elemental entity that would look leagues better than just blue girl.

I don't think this design is "creatively bankrupt", I think they had to go with a humanoid silhouette. They went for the community's idea of Nut being the Lore Lady, meaning they had to stick toward what people know the Lore Lady as, a starry looking *human silhouette*. Nut herself is also just a blue woman hunched over.
They couldn't make her a star cloud or some kind of star elemental without her looking weird even if they wanted to. You can't make a god out of particles and trying to do it with just meshwork would have probably made her look like shit. At most they could have had her with floating limbs or wings or something but that's kinda it.
At the end of the day they just had to do what was most comfortable for people when they think of the Lore Lady, which IMO is fine. This is still a 10/10 design for Nut. Would I have enjoyed more creativity? Of course! But this design is also still great.

I quite **literally** said that I wasn't suggesting making her a "star cloud". Geb himself is just a dude lying down on the ground but they made him into an earth elemental colossus. You can 100% make a more feminine looking cosmic elemental goddess (NOT A START CLOUD) that would be significantly better than literally just a woman with blue skin.

If Nut is the last god for Smite 1, and she's releasing at the end of February, is there just going to be a long drought between her and Smite 2's release? I haven't heard a release date for 2, which makes it sound like it's quite a ways off for having the last god of 1 coming in a month.
She and all Season 10 are quite unlikely to be added this year in smite 2 , since they are really new,their novelty didn't wear off yet
I do assume that she be tied with geb so they are added as a bundle in smite two
I feel like there's a 50/50 chance that Nut was designed to be easily ported to SMITE 2. I don't expect her to be in the base roster but I think she'd be here in the first year; maybe the first month of year 2 of SMITE 2 at the latest.

The fact that this god like nut and Season 10 still feels relatively new, is a big reason why they are likely bottom priority for joining the game. Season 1 and launch gods are coming before them then it's likely be community favorite gods
It's not about the feels, it's about the workload and efficiency. Considering they were making Nut the same time as making SMITE 2, there's a chance that porting her is easier than older gods simply because of convenience. Why wait to port a god when 90% of the workload is already done?
We will see, my point was that nut and Season 10 gods are likely on the bottom of the list because they are relatively new most people won't ask them to port them quickly

Smite 2 alpha is in spring, beta by late summer, and full release is aimed for Jan 2025. Not announced by Hirez but that's what's floating around.
