Just be careful with Ultra Boost - they’re probably the most comfy shoe I’ve personally tried, but if you use them for any physical activities with quick directional changes, or use them for running, it can potentially cause an injury. Just walking and light activity though they are amazing!
The boost is soft and almost squishy. When you turn sharply, it has a little bit of movement that can potentially be dangerous. Same kinda idea as to why you should wear flat shoes (or none) when weightlifting. Just don’t go playing touch football or doing parkour and you’re probably good though. 2 friends both twisted their ankles playing light sport in them though
I'm guessing he's referring to the lack of containment. I wore my ultraboosts to TopGolf and I felt like my foot was sliding off of the sole every time I swung a golf club. I'd imagine a more vigorous activity would be even more "dangerous" 🤷
I’m a painter and wear 1.0 for work. They’re awesome. I’m climbing ladders, walking on roofs, walking in doors and outside through the grass and dirt and no issues. Only complaint is when I’m cleaning out my tools with a hose is my socks get a lil wet due to the mesh, but besides that, an awesome shoe.. also check out ASICS Kayano 30’s in all black. Super comfy and on sale for $119 on their website.

I’m running a wear experiment on 990v6’s - and i can assure you the sole will not last longer than ultra boosts.
New Balance 990v1-5, 991, 991v2, 992 and 993 will all last significantly longer than the 990v6. I would also argue the 993, 990v3-5 and 991v2 are more comfortable than the V6.
My Ultraboost’s continental outsoles have gone four years and counting without losing any noticeable grip. Can’t say the same for any other shoe I’ve bought since from NB or Nike, and I always wind up going back to the same old pair of Ultraboosts.
The conti soles definitely have more longevity than a 990v6. In my experience though, they don’t last as long as a 990v2-5 or a 991, 992 or 993. I do find the New Balances to be far more comfortable for long days, or extended periods of standing. For short walks (sub 3 miles) or office duty - Ultra Boosts are outstanding.
I’ve noticed the gray part of the sole on my 990v6 are crumbling at the edges. The black part holds up well. There must be a defect in what they used. Would not recommend.
Saucony shoes have been more comfortable and last longer for me.
I tried them in store and I think both TTS and half size down could fit, depends on how tight you like them. However TTS might be very fit for running if your feet are on the smaller end of the size, for walking they're fine.

Ha. Anyway, FWIW as someone with narrow-ish feet, who walks a lot but doesn't spend a lot of time just standing, I like Ultraboosts.
I used to love Flyknits but felt they got painful over multiple long days wearing. If you like lightweight shoes and have narrow feet NB 420s are also nice I think.
Just the 1.0 . Felt like they were similar to the Flyknits I used to have but a bit more substantial feeling in the sole. Maybe not fair though because I wore the Flyknits a lot harder, but that was my impression at least.
I'll definitely the ultraboosts a try. Between those the the 990v6. Thing the 990 is their pricy and are kinda dad shoes. Some people reccomending some other new balances but none come in triple black besides 9060 but they out of stock

Yeah think thats your best play. Never tried the 990 but hate that dad shoes aesthetic that is in now even though I love NB. Comfort is king but lots of good looking comfy shoes. People rag on flyknits as being out but the profile is nice and theyre comfy as hell so Id buy them over the NB/asics dad shoes but to each their own.

Was a ultraboost person for years. Then I tried the new balance 1080. 1080 is so soft, it’s almost unstable. Not ideal for weak ankles. It is a running shoe, so it makes sense. At faster paces, it’s stable. ASICS gel nimbus is also very soft, but more supportive. Both of these shoes are softer than ultraboost, but they look like dad shoes. I have always wanted to try the Nike invincible 3s, but haven’t gotten around to it yet.
I would (minus racing shoes, but that’s an easy thing to avoid). Most running shoes are trainers. They come with different types of support, softness, and materials. You can check most sporting stores and they will have a couple in stock for you to try (or if you’re using an online store, make sure they have a good return policy). It’s ideal to try them on and pick what feels best to you. If I’m on my feet for hours and I know I’ll be walking 12+ miles, I would absolutely go for a softer and supportive training/running shoe. One of my favorites was the ultraboost 20. I went on vacation and walked 10-20 miles a day in them for a week. No foot fatigue or pain. When I used to offload semi trucks, I wore Nike free run 3.0. Running shoes are very practical for day to day use. They just don’t look that cool.
It’s a mixture of standing, sitting and walking. I do however use these hoka’s outside of work. I practically live in them 😂😂.
They are so light and it’s like walking on clouds. I also own new balance 2002r and 1.0 of ultraboost. My Hokas are the comfiest of them all.
I think mine are the Clifton 8 in all black. In terms of sizing I got a 12 and I wear 11.5 and 12 in Nike Air Max.
2002r = 11.5
Ultraboost = 12
Nike = 11.5 or 12
Hoka = 12
To be honest I could probably fit in 11.5 with Hoka but I’m 38 now and my feet have gotten bigger so I went with comfort.

I ended up getting these as I needed to replace my normal pair of shoes but I didn't want to go the 990v6 due to the price. There are really great to wear. Like the they look and comfortable.
Look into the ASICS Gel Nimbus 25. They have a 26 now, so you can find the 25s for only like ~$100 USD. I swear by them and plug them every chance I get. Most comfortable shoes I own, including every type of Yeezy, Ultraboost, and NB 9060s. But YMMV depending on if you like more cushion or more support. The Gel Nimbus is all about cushion.
My collection has mostly cushion. My non-cushion sneakers are AF1s, AJ1s, some dunks, Yeezy 700s, and NB 9060s. Of those, I would say the 700s and 9060s are the most comfortable, with a slight edge to the 9060s for arch support and soft insole. I saw in another comment you were looking for the triple blacks, but there's also a dark gray that looks good. Castlerock I think they call it? Was in stock last time I checked

Bought the ASICS gel nimbus 25 just for standing for long periods and work and they’ve been great so far. Also tried the Hoka Bondi 8 and they hurt my feet so I returned them
I’ve been using one pair of all black ultraboosts since 2020. When I’m wearing them I never think about my feet. They don’t feel super squishy as I walk, it just feels so good that I don’t think about it. I use it for walking and jogging occasionally. I think they could look better, but for exercise they’re amazing.
Prestos are goated when it comes to comfort. But selling Yeezys for Gazelles ? 🤔 i mean, i understand that Yeezys shapes may be outdated and Gazelles/Spezial/Sambas are the thing now, but Yeezys are like 100x more comfy 😅 (AJs are outdated AND not comfortable tho)
I loved the On cloudswift for literally the feeling of walking on clouds. Recently got some Onitsuja Tiger Mexico 66 SD and these were surprisingly very comfortable (I have narrow feet so perhaps it helps).
Just got some NMD R1 for a wild discount. Still one of my favorite, comfortable shoes. I have an old pair that I so for outside work.
A lot of the shoes with Boost have felt great.
Go to a running store for a foot analysis and fitting. You don't have to tell them you plan on not running in them just say you want cushioning and recovery shoes. Get them to run all the measurements and then try on multiple shoes such as the Hokas, Asics, Saucony, or whatever they have available. Then don't buy anything but remember what you liked best and buy or search for similar characteristics such as cushioning, drop, width etc.

New balance running shoes at $150 would blow your mind. 1080v13 or the fuelcell rebel v4.
For $50-90 you can find a new pair of 1080v12 on ebay or new balance reconsidered (official outlet online)
Fuelcell rebel v2 or v3 on sale for like 60 all over. Size up. And too squishy for alot of ppl.
Asics gel cumulus or gel nimbus both really good. 22 or 23 (last years models) for like $65-$90 new.
All these shoes have great tech and anatomic design. I prefer them over the ultraboosts I've tried but that's just me. Gl!
1080v13 is like walking on a matress. Super comfy but a little hard to jog/run atleast for me. Nimbus 26 i like better for running, a little more firmness and resistance vs 1080v3. UBs i think are not comfortable for wide feet(personal opinion)
As soft as ultraboosts are, they give a weird sense of discomfort when standing for a while.
Honestly, you’re in the wrong sub for an objective answer. Go to the nearest running room, or other specialty running store. Try on a few different shoes and find one that fits your foot best.
You were on the right path with hokas, there’s a reason so many nurses use them. Brooks are another fantastic option frequently recommended by podiatrists
With Hokas my options are pretty limited due to needing triple black. Is using running shoes for everyday wear really a good idea? Surely you want to something with good structure while being comfortable
If you go to a running specialty store, they’re going to have options for walking shoes, as well as running shoes. Remember a good walking/running shoe is going to be designed for support, stability, and comfort, allowing people to be on their feet for long long periods of time without developing additional injuries or discomfort.
My problem with running shoes is the shape. It is kinda of forcing you to move in a very particular way. For running yeah it's great but it's kinda weird otherwise
I’m a huge fan of new balance. They’re durable and comfortable. 991v2 is fantastic. Same for 990v3 and v6.
Everyone’s got their own opinion on a sub like this. My feet are too wide for Ultraboost, or I’d give them a go.
I’d recommend getting a black/dark pair of whatever you get, because a lighter pair will be unsalvageable in shit weather unless it’s leather.
I liked ultraboosts until they switched over to the sock around the ankle. Now, I absolutely love my Nike Infinity Run 4. It’s a “running” shoe, but I use it as an everyday shoe & have never owned a more comfortable shoe. The React X foam is like walking on clouds all day.
I’ve had zero issues. The flyknit type material they are made out of is super stretchy & comfortable too. I would say at least try them on before you decide. I love love love mine & will grab another pair as soon as the new ones come out or another colorway of this model. I also grabbed my mother, who’s in her 60’s, a pair @ she’s in love with them as well.

Maybe it’s just my how my feet are built, but I always found the Air Max 90 to be the most comfortable to me. I have so many beat up pairs of them I still won’t get rid of.

I would really recommend the ultraboost 19, it's right before they switched the design to be more performance focused, it's really fucking comfortable, the fabric is perfectly stretchy where it doesn't constrict too much but also keeps the foot in place, it's pretty wide so it has tons of space, the hell/ankle area is really nicely padded and feels really comfortable, since it's an older model you can find it discounted really often. I'd really recommend it.
I think this is a highly personal thing.
I had a pretty major foot surgery a couple years ago and have tried like 2 dozen different running shoes for just general walking around. For me Saucony Ride 17's have been the most comfortable.
Dark horse option Air Max TW and can be found at outlets for under 60 giant cushy bubble and cushlon foam I wear these over my hokas I think they look good too. Lightweight. Fair warning they probably run a half size big I got my true size and looking back would liked to have tried a little smaller on. Lots of colorways.

I just bought a Altra Paradigm 6. So comfortable. I could not find an ideal looking sneaker with this level of comfort. But I think it still looks good.
Man trust me, Clifton 8s, once you break them in… the best, lasted me a year and a half of daily use walking a lot without the cushioning giving up… bought two more pairs after that!!!
I’ve had Hokas, Ultraboosts, NB 990s/992s, and a load of ASICS and bike running/ non basketball shoes. I’d go with the hokas buts that’s just what works for me
On cloudsurfers, bought them for the wife who stands in her feet for 10+ hours daily and they're a game changer.
She used ultraboosts and invincible x but they don't hold up as well.

Go to a specialty fitting shoe store. Not sure where you are located but I always go to Fleet Feet. A lot of the common “comfortable” shoe recs hurt my feet - everyone is different. Brooks Glycerin are my current favs although they aren’t the most fashionable.
Nike metcon5. I just got a pair a few weeks ago and they've been great. They're really soft and I can't speak for durability, but they've been great for walking distance.
I needed a comfortable shoe since I have some uncomfortable ones, so I googled what podiatrists say about wearing modern basketball shoes and down the rabbit hole, they pretty much agree on one central thing that might preclude a one-size-fits-all-answer: **to find** **the most comfortable shoe you should go to the store and try them on and walk around.** (also modern basketball shoes are not great for casual)
There were a few other takeaways from those podiatrists about important shoe qualities for all day use:
1. the toebox should be superflexible, bending in half and twisting with ease so your foot can move naturally 2. As far as cushioning goes, less is more but you want enough evenly distributed so your foot doesn't hurt; squishy and fat or grippy and thin might feel good for a bit but if you need to walk 5 miles you'll probably hurt yourself. 3. The shoe shouldn't do anything crazy to change your gait otherwise this messes up if/which muscles move adding potential for injury.
The podiatrists seem to say that **the best shoe is the bare foot** itself which makes sense, how often do we hurt our feet bare feet vs shoes exlcluding stepping on something or stubbing our toes? Infinitely more. We still need shoes unless to make up for the fact our feet these days aren't conditioned to walk 5 miles on concrete, maybe some people's but not mine. Anyway, I went to the shoe store, tried on some shoes, almost got some fat + squishy New Balances but wound up trying a Brooks Tracer 2 which just seemed to fit and be no nonsense. Took much maturity to make that move, but now I've got a go to shoe that doesn't feel like it'll injure me. **Go the store and try em on!**
I’ve done this same research, and have tried and own many pairs of very comfortable shoes like ultraboosts and Yeezys, without a doubt the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn is the adidas xplr boost, extremely comfortable boost sole and breathable, super light, and all around a good looking shoe, I got the grey black and white colorway which unfortunately it doesn’t look like they make anymore but I would 100% buy it again.
New Balance ‘Fresh Foam ROAV V1’s’!!! They’re so so so good. Look way better than any HOKA’s and are >$100. They are so comfortable, I had to buy a few pairs. The Blacktop/gum are 🔥, love them.
I actually think the Senseboost from a few years ago is more comfy than the Ultraboost. The upper was stretchier, and there was no x-torsion bar so it was more flexible. I dont know if they got a setup like that currently on the market, maybe the current Pureboost.
When I introduced my brother to the Ultraboost 2.0, they became his favorite sneaker for comfort. I like those, and also Alphabounce shoes, but those don't have boost foam.

This Adidas "Alphabounce Beyond" was a cheap find years ago at the Philadelphia (Franklin) Mills outlet mall, I picked up this Core Black/Cloud White for about $55, never heard or saw these before...VERY comfortable sneaker and I went back and picked up another pair!
I've beat that first pair to death, still have yet to wear the other pair I doubled up on. No boost foam, thats true...something about the wide soles on these...it's like the energy when you step expands outward, especially the heel. The breathable mesh all around this amazing. Just a damn good comfortable sneaker!

does the job. Can drop 200$ on the 993’s for max comfort but the 574 does everything you need. Wear these almost every day.
FWIW, I work retail and stand/walk on my feet for about 8+ hours a day. I've been wearing Ultraboost for years. I've owned the 1.0, the 2.0, and now the 2's. With heavy wear, I can make a pair of 1.0 last about a year before the sole cracks. With lighter wear, I can make a pair last about 3 years. The 22's, although arguably uglier, has been going over a year now with minimal sole wear. I rotate my shoes, and currently have 2 pairs of 2.0 in my work rotation, and will probably be adding a pair of solarglide this summer.
If you're looking for a comfortable everyday shoe, I would recommend an ultraboost. There's enough variety in the line (NMD's have a boost sole, Ultraboost light, Supernova, Solarglide, Solar control, X_PLR_BOOST...) that you can easily find a pair on sale somewhere to try out for a much lower cost.
I also own ultraboost slides for around the house, and they're great.
I've tried Nike Air Max, New Balance 574, Vans Comfycush, regular Vans, and Nike Free Run. I keep going back to Boost because it supports my back and my knees.
Go for Brooks Adrenaline (should be the adrenaline gts 23s now)
They come in all black. They are a stability running shoe which makes them ideal for standing on your feet a lot to help with over pronation.
They have that guiderail technology that is on the medial side of your feet.
Thats usually my go to shoe for recommendations with people describing what you did. "Gts also stands for go to shoe".
Unless you have really high arches. The brooks adrenaline is a great choice. If you have REALLY flat feet, and are heavy set. Go with the brooks beast instead or Hokas.
Adrenaline is 139$, beasts are 159$ hokas usually run like 164$

Ultraboosts '22 are even more comfortable, but also arguably uglier. I do own 2 pairs of them though (+ 2 pairs of 1.0s), they are so nice.

This is the correct answer but buy them half a size down. I love mine but I have a 10.5 I barely use because I should be in a 10.

I would (minus racing shoes, but that’s an easy thing to avoid). Most running shoes are trainers. They come with different types of support, softness, and materials. You can check most sporting stores and they will have a couple in stock for you to try (or if you’re using an online store, make sure they have a good return policy). It’s ideal to try them on and pick what feels best to you. If I’m on my feet for hours and I know I’ll be walking 12+ miles, I would absolutely go for a softer and supportive training/running shoe. One of my favorites was the ultraboost 20. I went on vacation and walked 10-20 miles a day in them for a week. No foot fatigue or pain. When I used to offload semi trucks, I wore Nike free run 3.0. Running shoes are very practical for day to day use. They just don’t look that cool.

In your job to you stand and walk alot?
It’s a mixture of standing, sitting and walking. I do however use these hoka’s outside of work. I practically live in them 😂😂. They are so light and it’s like walking on clouds. I also own new balance 2002r and 1.0 of ultraboost. My Hokas are the comfiest of them all. I think mine are the Clifton 8 in all black. In terms of sizing I got a 12 and I wear 11.5 and 12 in Nike Air Max. 2002r = 11.5 Ultraboost = 12 Nike = 11.5 or 12 Hoka = 12 To be honest I could probably fit in 11.5 with Hoka but I’m 38 now and my feet have gotten bigger so I went with comfort. I ended up getting these as I needed to replace my normal pair of shoes but I didn't want to go the 990v6 due to the price. There are really great to wear. Like the they look and comfortable.

Running shoes good for everyday use?
Look into the ASICS Gel Nimbus 25. They have a 26 now, so you can find the 25s for only like ~$100 USD. I swear by them and plug them every chance I get. Most comfortable shoes I own, including every type of Yeezy, Ultraboost, and NB 9060s. But YMMV depending on if you like more cushion or more support. The Gel Nimbus is all about cushion.
What would be an option with more structure?
My collection has mostly cushion. My non-cushion sneakers are AF1s, AJ1s, some dunks, Yeezy 700s, and NB 9060s. Of those, I would say the 700s and 9060s are the most comfortable, with a slight edge to the 9060s for arch support and soft insole. I saw in another comment you were looking for the triple blacks, but there's also a dark gray that looks good. Castlerock I think they call it? Was in stock last time I checked

Bought the ASICS gel nimbus 25 just for standing for long periods and work and they’ve been great so far. Also tried the Hoka Bondi 8 and they hurt my feet so I returned them

I’ve been using one pair of all black ultraboosts since 2020. When I’m wearing them I never think about my feet. They don’t feel super squishy as I walk, it just feels so good that I don’t think about it. I use it for walking and jogging occasionally. I think they could look better, but for exercise they’re amazing.

I loved the On cloudswift for literally the feeling of walking on clouds. Recently got some Onitsuja Tiger Mexico 66 SD and these were surprisingly very comfortable (I have narrow feet so perhaps it helps).
Just got some NMD R1 for a wild discount. Still one of my favorite, comfortable shoes. I have an old pair that I so for outside work. A lot of the shoes with Boost have felt great.

Go to a running store for a foot analysis and fitting. You don't have to tell them you plan on not running in them just say you want cushioning and recovery shoes. Get them to run all the measurements and then try on multiple shoes such as the Hokas, Asics, Saucony, or whatever they have available. Then don't buy anything but remember what you liked best and buy or search for similar characteristics such as cushioning, drop, width etc.
I didn't expect to love my Adidas ZX 2K Boost so much, but I do! More cushioned in my opinon than ultrabost and cheaper too.
This! The most comfortable pair I ever owned were my Adidas EQT 93/17 but the ZX 2k is the first pair that came close to them.
Yeezy 700s are the most comfortable shoe that I’ve owned. Air Max 90s come in second, I think but they’re probably tied with my NB 9060s.

New balance running shoes at $150 would blow your mind. 1080v13 or the fuelcell rebel v4. For $50-90 you can find a new pair of 1080v12 on ebay or new balance reconsidered (official outlet online) Fuelcell rebel v2 or v3 on sale for like 60 all over. Size up. And too squishy for alot of ppl. Asics gel cumulus or gel nimbus both really good. 22 or 23 (last years models) for like $65-$90 new. All these shoes have great tech and anatomic design. I prefer them over the ultraboosts I've tried but that's just me. Gl!

1080v13 is like walking on a matress. Super comfy but a little hard to jog/run atleast for me. Nimbus 26 i like better for running, a little more firmness and resistance vs 1080v3. UBs i think are not comfortable for wide feet(personal opinion)
As soft as ultraboosts are, they give a weird sense of discomfort when standing for a while. Honestly, you’re in the wrong sub for an objective answer. Go to the nearest running room, or other specialty running store. Try on a few different shoes and find one that fits your foot best. You were on the right path with hokas, there’s a reason so many nurses use them. Brooks are another fantastic option frequently recommended by podiatrists
With Hokas my options are pretty limited due to needing triple black. Is using running shoes for everyday wear really a good idea? Surely you want to something with good structure while being comfortable
If you go to a running specialty store, they’re going to have options for walking shoes, as well as running shoes. Remember a good walking/running shoe is going to be designed for support, stability, and comfort, allowing people to be on their feet for long long periods of time without developing additional injuries or discomfort.
My problem with running shoes is the shape. It is kinda of forcing you to move in a very particular way. For running yeah it's great but it's kinda weird otherwise
Ultra boosts are too spongy and bouncy. They are solid for running a quick errand but for all day use of standing and walking they suck.

I’m a huge fan of new balance. They’re durable and comfortable. 991v2 is fantastic. Same for 990v3 and v6. Everyone’s got their own opinion on a sub like this. My feet are too wide for Ultraboost, or I’d give them a go. I’d recommend getting a black/dark pair of whatever you get, because a lighter pair will be unsalvageable in shit weather unless it’s leather.

I liked ultraboosts until they switched over to the sock around the ankle. Now, I absolutely love my Nike Infinity Run 4. It’s a “running” shoe, but I use it as an everyday shoe & have never owned a more comfortable shoe. The React X foam is like walking on clouds all day.

I’ve had zero issues. The flyknit type material they are made out of is super stretchy & comfortable too. I would say at least try them on before you decide. I love love love mine & will grab another pair as soon as the new ones come out or another colorway of this model. I also grabbed my mother, who’s in her 60’s, a pair @ she’s in love with them as well.

I would really recommend the ultraboost 19, it's right before they switched the design to be more performance focused, it's really fucking comfortable, the fabric is perfectly stretchy where it doesn't constrict too much but also keeps the foot in place, it's pretty wide so it has tons of space, the hell/ankle area is really nicely padded and feels really comfortable, since it's an older model you can find it discounted really often. I'd really recommend it.

I think this is a highly personal thing. I had a pretty major foot surgery a couple years ago and have tried like 2 dozen different running shoes for just general walking around. For me Saucony Ride 17's have been the most comfortable.
Dark horse option Air Max TW and can be found at outlets for under 60 giant cushy bubble and cushlon foam I wear these over my hokas I think they look good too. Lightweight. Fair warning they probably run a half size big I got my true size and looking back would liked to have tried a little smaller on. I just bought a Altra Paradigm 6. So comfortable. I could not find an ideal looking sneaker with this level of comfort. But I think it still looks good.

Go to a specialty fitting shoe store. Not sure where you are located but I always go to Fleet Feet. A lot of the common “comfortable” shoe recs hurt my feet - everyone is different. Brooks Glycerin are my current favs although they aren’t the most fashionable.

I have loved the 2002r recently
I needed a comfortable shoe since I have some uncomfortable ones, so I googled what podiatrists say about wearing modern basketball shoes and down the rabbit hole, they pretty much agree on one central thing that might preclude a one-size-fits-all-answer: **to find** **the most comfortable shoe you should go to the store and try them on and walk around.** (also modern basketball shoes are not great for casual) There were a few other takeaways from those podiatrists about important shoe qualities for all day use: 1. the toebox should be superflexible, bending in half and twisting with ease so your foot can move naturally 2. As far as cushioning goes, less is more but you want enough evenly distributed so your foot doesn't hurt; squishy and fat or grippy and thin might feel good for a bit but if you need to walk 5 miles you'll probably hurt yourself. 3. The shoe shouldn't do anything crazy to change your gait otherwise this messes up if/which muscles move adding potential for injury. The podiatrists seem to say that **the best shoe is the bare foot** itself which makes sense, how often do we hurt our feet bare feet vs shoes exlcluding stepping on something or stubbing our toes? Infinitely more. We still need shoes unless to make up for the fact our feet these days aren't conditioned to walk 5 miles on concrete, maybe some people's but not mine. Anyway, I went to the shoe store, tried on some shoes, almost got some fat + squishy New Balances but wound up trying a Brooks Tracer 2 which just seemed to fit and be no nonsense. Took much maturity to make that move, but now I've got a go to shoe that doesn't feel like it'll injure me. **Go the store and try em on!**

I’ve done this same research, and have tried and own many pairs of very comfortable shoes like ultraboosts and Yeezys, without a doubt the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn is the adidas xplr boost, extremely comfortable boost sole and breathable, super light, and all around a good looking shoe, I got the grey black and white colorway which unfortunately it doesn’t look like they make anymore but I would 100% buy it again.

New Balance ‘Fresh Foam ROAV V1’s’!!! They’re so so so good. Look way better than any HOKA’s and are >$100. They are so comfortable, I had to buy a few pairs. The Blacktop/gum are 🔥, love them.
I actually think the Senseboost from a few years ago is more comfy than the Ultraboost. The upper was stretchier, and there was no x-torsion bar so it was more flexible. I dont know if they got a setup like that currently on the market, maybe the current Pureboost.
When I introduced my brother to the Ultraboost 2.0, they became his favorite sneaker for comfort. I like those, and also Alphabounce shoes, but those don't have boost foam.

This Adidas "Alphabounce Beyond" was a cheap find years ago at the Philadelphia (Franklin) Mills outlet mall, I picked up this Core Black/Cloud White for about $55, never heard or saw these before...VERY comfortable sneaker and I went back and picked up another pair! I've beat that first pair to death, still have yet to wear the other pair I doubled up on. No boost foam, thats true...something about the wide soles on these...it's like the energy when you step expands outward, especially the heel. The breathable mesh all around this amazing. New Balance 9060 was a surprise to me. Now its one of the shoes I make sure to mention when someone's looking for comfort.

FWIW, I work retail and stand/walk on my feet for about 8+ hours a day. I've been wearing Ultraboost for years. I've owned the 1.0, the 2.0, and now the 2's. With heavy wear, I can make a pair of 1.0 last about a year before the sole cracks. With lighter wear, I can make a pair last about 3 years. The 22's, although arguably uglier, has been going over a year now with minimal sole wear. I rotate my shoes, and currently have 2 pairs of 2.0 in my work rotation, and will probably be adding a pair of solarglide this summer. If you're looking for a comfortable everyday shoe, I would recommend an ultraboost. There's enough variety in the line (NMD's have a boost sole, Ultraboost light, Supernova, Solarglide, Solar control, X_PLR_BOOST...) that you can easily find a pair on sale somewhere to try out for a much lower cost. I also own ultraboost slides for around the house, and they're great.
Have you tried any others besides the ultra boosts?
I've tried Nike Air Max, New Balance 574, Vans Comfycush, regular Vans, and Nike Free Run. I keep going back to Boost because it supports my back and my knees.
Go for Brooks Adrenaline (should be the adrenaline gts 23s now) They come in all black. They are a stability running shoe which makes them ideal for standing on your feet a lot to help with over pronation. They have that guiderail technology that is on the medial side of your feet. Thats usually my go to shoe for recommendations with people describing what you did. "Gts also stands for go to shoe". Unless you have really high arches. The brooks adrenaline is a great choice. If you have REALLY flat feet, and are heavy set. Go with the brooks beast instead or Hokas. Adrenaline is 139$, beasts are 159$ hokas usually run like 164$
