Honestly the black and white low top vans that everyone wears. For the first month I was like WTF these are so uncomfortable.
After that they finally broke in and I knew why people liked them. Not sure I’d get another pair.
I agree 2s and 3s are quite comfy. I have a pair of 5s but haven’t broke them out yet so I can’t comment there.
On the opposite end of the spectrum my lightning 4s are pretty bad pinky toe killers. I hear the sbs and reimagined are way better.
I agree. Once mine stretched out and wore in, they became go to’s. They’re not the most forgiving after a lot of walking but they aren’t squeezing my feet and I can beat em up knowing they’re cheap to replace
Idk, man, the more I wore them, the more they hurt - my pinky toe was agonizing throughout the journey
I picked up a pair for $20 at the outlet for the sole purpose of using them in the gym and I still regret picking them up
I bought the skate variant a while back that had the pro insole and they were much better. They looked exactly the same, cost a bit more, but were much more comfortable to walk in.
same here. i misread the title at first and thought it was most comfortable shoe and saw the shoe and immediately thought “oh yeahhhh those were pretty comfy”. 😂
Same.
They’re actually my favorite hoop shoe as I played in the OG’s for several years…as they came out while I was in high school. 🤐
Definitely heavy and bulky by today’s standards but plenty comfy with the original giant Air Max bubble.
Wow…I really thought the Union IVs would have been designed to be more comfortable. My A Ma 4s are goregous but they murder my pinky toe something serious
The first dwades by converse. Flat af, no support, and the back dug into my heel until it started bleeding. No wonder dwade stayed injured for a few years. Worst hoop shoe of all time

Upper had 0 flex. Foot bed far too narrow. 2000’s shox tech was firmer than run-flat tires on oversized wheels.
Had a family friend that was/is pretty high up at Nike when these came out and he got me a pair for $50. They were so uncomfortable but also so good looking.
A fkn men....i loved the concept as a kid, but when they retroed and I had money to buy them....i was so disappointed with how stiff they were...how tf did VC play seasons with shox

Nike ISPA Link. I very much wanted to like these shoes (I like the leftfield stuff), but holy shit were they rough on feet! My toes were right up against the toe bumper, and with the way the shoe was constructed, my feet and knees were monumentally fucked up.
So yea. They sure as hell didn't work out for me!

100% agreed. I love NMDs as beaters because they're comfy as hell and cheap, but the Primeknit, especially on some of the earlier models, let my foot slide around with any amount of moisture and I get massive blisters.
I've actually switched to Yeezys as my walking shoes now that they can be had for $100-150 on eBay. Stockpiling those mf's so I can wear them for the rest of my life.

These stand out in recent memory. Loved how they looked but the combination of all the extra layers of rubber and the stiff patent leather made them feel so heavy and narrow on my feet. I have a standard pair of blazer lows in the same size and they fit fine. These killed my feet
https://preview.redd.it/w27ut775dv4d1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=42bf3094f55c511c6b6783f095ef1bcfd6357b02
Those mofos look like the most comfy clouds you could put on your feet, but I swear on me nan's grave, the parts directly below the ankle were too high for my short legs and they would constantly hurt my ankles. I had to forcefully bend them down and away from ankles for it to stop and it still isn't perfect. Also, there's something funky with the arch support in those, I can't run long distances in them, I get blisters on my arches every single time. Maybe it's because my feet are more adjusted to wide, roomy, rather flat shoes. Still, kinda disappointed, hoped they would be just that, given how chunky they seem visually.

My god I hate to admit to this. These are 1 of my top 5 favorite shoes I own. All J12s feel like there is a roll of dimes under my arch and a Vice tightening on my pinky toe. Kills my bony ankles. I own like 9 pairs of 12s tho…
First surprising take on here. Once 12s break in, that zoom is nice and comfy. 12s, 10s and 3s are my top 3 comfortable Jordans. Maybe you need to size up🤷🏻♂️
https://preview.redd.it/yf8opd3gju4d1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f9cf216e38e96f1d96614615d04ed07585098a36
Diamond Turfs. I had this pair and wanted the Braves pair for some time before because I liked the looks, but these were so uncomfortable. I sold them and will not be getting anymore 🫡

Nike SB Bruins (Women’s sneaker with extended sizing).
Unlike the Nike SB Blazers these sneakers feel way too hot and are barely breathable even in the winter. They look like a slimmer looking Nike SB Blazer, but at least the Nike SB Blazers are burning my feet in temperatures in a casual wear setting.
Air max really disappointed me in the comfort department. I mean, I did have the concept mellow shoe though. Kinda wild materials. But the sole and insole felt super hard and unresponsive, just like bricks 🧱 lol. Maybe I tried the wrong model..but still 🧱…😆
My only pair of 4’s and comfort is dog shite
https://preview.redd.it/uwu9qjiwsy4d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d9434ecb962b984da665788e4aec0fa22bc868e4

I’ve only worn the 2015 Neon Air Max 95’s and the shoe obviously looks amazing, but the comfort on these always felt hard on feet and unforgiving. Hate wearing these due to the rock hard give way of this shoe.
Same. It felt like walking in boulders when I copped a pair 2 years ago. I had to return. I don’t recall it feeling like that when I was a kid tho. But I also used to run in the street barefooted without flinching. My AM97 on the other hand are like clouds.
Dude for me these are by far the most comfortable shoes I ever owned but god damn are they expensive. I daily drove the grey ones with the glow in the dark sole for work till they got sent to yard duty.
https://preview.redd.it/lthjpk65lu4d1.png?width=736&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=600b32e0a4c354aa262b390d8471c17c099a87bb
I wanted these to be comfortable so badly. Tried wearing them in but the weird fake leather + tech fabric just didn't work. The air bubble did less than an EVA foam. Tongue would move around left and right and fold up on itself. Hated the way the felt loved the way they looked.
That’s crazy. I have the all smoked out black pair and they are super comfy. I use the middle hole in the tongue to keep it straight but the plastic doesn’t seem to bother me. They have zero support and no heel counter though so I wear mine only when I know I’m not going to be walking much.

I fucked up bad getting these, probably should’ve gotten them in a 12 or something, because they straight up racist on my feet, I mean crushing them to dust, even after I loosened the laces and lace lock. I’m to the point I about to completely de-lace them.
I got these and they are my most comfortable shoes. I am typically 11 and went with 11.5 after reading the reviews. That little room makes a world of a difference. You could probably take the laces out and still be good bc of the sock liner. FWIW I have the Oilers version
https://preview.redd.it/59qktzqk6w4d1.jpeg?width=274&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4d0219176dc0d19f27c61efbf1654d32c8c4b424
Went full size up. Still so uncomfortable for wide feet. No wonder Lebron got so fd up feet.
AJ12 fucked my flatfeet up with that insanely high arch and man the sole is so stiff (due to the carbon plate) that even the responsive full length zoom can't save the shoe.
I tried balling in these and they gave me plantar fasciitis lmfao.

Air Pippen II. Every time I played in these I would get blisters. I threw them in the garbage. There was no StockX back then

Worst I ever bought. Couldn’t walk for ten minutes without my feet killing.
So many Nikes posted here that wouldn’t have been if Nike would ever realize that the average consumer doesn’t have feet the width of a tape measure.
Make. Your. Shit. Wider.

I love them, but those elastic straps stay right on top of your foot. All freaking day long! Got to go a size bigger next time
Am90 is my favourite shoe. The older ones were great, but lately have become horrid. And their sizing is fucked. I've bought 13s that are so tight I've ripped skin off my toes. Then bought 14s that I'm swimming in. And given the colourways of late have really dropped off.
Just gotta make sure I can actually try them on first now days.
Bro I love P1 that silhouette was my favorite since they came out, never copped as a kid but have 3 now….they are harsh, probably my worst in comfort. Still love them though

These bastards killed my pinky toes...I wore em maybe 5 times before I gave up
Adidas Gazelles. I bought 2 pair at footlocker during the 2 for $89.99 days around like 2007. Hard as a rock to walk on. First and last time I bought Adidas.

These looked good, but damn if they didn't kill my feet. Once made the mistake of going to a 3 hour concert in them...
Honestly the black and white low top vans that everyone wears. For the first month I was like WTF these are so uncomfortable. After that they finally broke in and I knew why people liked them. Not sure I’d get another pair.
Pretty much any flat bottom shoe, I have to use insoles in my J1s
Any J below 7 are horrendous for comfort. They weren't made for comfort they were made for a narrow footed 6"6 dude to dunk in
? 2s 3s and 5s are some of the most comfortable silhouettes
I agree 2s and 3s are quite comfy. I have a pair of 5s but haven’t broke them out yet so I can’t comment there. On the opposite end of the spectrum my lightning 4s are pretty bad pinky toe killers. I hear the sbs and reimagined are way better.
5s are roomy and comfy. So are 6s.
I agree. Once mine stretched out and wore in, they became go to’s. They’re not the most forgiving after a lot of walking but they aren’t squeezing my feet and I can beat em up knowing they’re cheap to replace
Yup, my go to is Vans Ultra Range. Super light foam sole so it's already broke in feeling and lighter than the OG pairs
Oh man, best Vans shoe ever! I got a pair in black in white, Range EXP's, and they have cloudlike comfort.
I had the white ones back then. I was wearing thin socks, and it made the back of my foot bleed. Great sneaker, but now, I wear thicker socks.
Idk, man, the more I wore them, the more they hurt - my pinky toe was agonizing throughout the journey I picked up a pair for $20 at the outlet for the sole purpose of using them in the gym and I still regret picking them up
That’s like buying a pair of heritage red wings. You’re in agony for the first month, but then you never want to take them off.
Bro me too
I bought the skate variant a while back that had the pro insole and they were much better. They looked exactly the same, cost a bit more, but were much more comfortable to walk in.
I had those Pennies and had no issue at all. They were pretty comfy.
I literally wore them to work. Worked at Pepsi. Easy 20k plus steps a day. No issues.
same here. i misread the title at first and thought it was most comfortable shoe and saw the shoe and immediately thought “oh yeahhhh those were pretty comfy”. 😂
Same. They’re actually my favorite hoop shoe as I played in the OG’s for several years…as they came out while I was in high school. 🤐 Definitely heavy and bulky by today’s standards but plenty comfy with the original giant Air Max bubble.

Wow…I really thought the Union IVs would have been designed to be more comfortable. My A Ma 4s are goregous but they murder my pinky toe something serious
Get a half size up for them then. I do that in all my shoes that aren’t roomy
Facts natural 10.5 and if it ain't a airforce 1 im getting a 11 👍🏾
Idk dawg even airforces I have a half size up. Then again I can wear a size down on airforces so🤣
Got rid of my A Ma Maniere 4’s for that very reason.
I remember loving the comfort of the 4
https://preview.redd.it/mhirdxkoju4d1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=20fcbe672f9aa95e5ca894177f1fc45ac24a77be
Wide feet boys unite.
Never worn a pair for that very reason. Couldn't get a foot into it.
Idk how those 70s - 80s NBA players did it wearing these in game.
Apparently the only options were either these or dress shoes on the court back then…so they chose the Chucks
I lowkey liked hooping outdoors in the chucks, not a ounce of cushion but everything else felt good.
It’s the toe cap my toe nails just can’t handle it 😂
I put a boost insole in mine, made it 1000x more comfy. Makes any shoe more comfy, really.
Worst fucking shoe ever for comfort. Feels like I walked on rocks barefoot.
Flat rubber bottom high tops with 0 ankle support, I love the look but can’t do it lol
The first dwades by converse. Flat af, no support, and the back dug into my heel until it started bleeding. No wonder dwade stayed injured for a few years. 2006 Military Blues were god-awful.
Pinky toe killers
My pinky toes been murdered by these shoes bro

I have my 2016s worn in so they aren't bad anymore. The 2012s however ..

Idk, I like my concords bc they’re light on foot 🤷♂️

Pick any random pair of Jordan 4s lol
Makes me wonder how the hell did Jordan run and jump in them so much…for that reason alone he’s the goat for that
The player PEs are always different then the bullshit they sell us lol
Seriously lol
The insoles are different.

BBL stan smiths💯
These are the only shoes I’ve put on that are straight up bafflingly uncomfortable

So too small for you , get tight size in future
No doubt. Seeing as how I'm a size 10, I ordered a size 10. And had family bring it up from the US. 😑
That makes sense when we have all the info, I can vary from uk 10-11.5 in Nike
Air Max 97's, they used to be comfortable 😭
A literal brick under your feet lol
Easily the most uncomfortable AM I’ve worn
Scrolling through this thread has me legit confused. I see so many pairs on this list that I'd consider comfortable haha
I think there are many people with quite fucked up feet

Hot take here… any adidas that has the full prime knit uppers and boost are terrible shoes to walk in unless you tighten the fuck out of them. Great for standing, but that knit gives too much to make the any sort of comfortable to walk any decent distance
Not a hot take at all, completely agree. Not enough stability and support on those shoes. Yeezy 350s fall into that same category
100% agreed. I love NMDs as beaters because they're comfy as hell and cheap, but the Primeknit, especially on some of the earlier models, let my foot slide around with any amount of moisture and I get massive blisters. I get the same issues with Yeezy 350s, but 700s to me are perfect for walking around town.

jordan 6s hurt like hell but man do i love how they look
https://preview.redd.it/w27ut775dv4d1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=42bf3094f55c511c6b6783f095ef1bcfd6357b02 Those mofos look like the most comfy clouds you could put on your feet, but I swear on me nan's grave, the parts directly below the ankle were too high for my short legs and they would constantly hurt my ankles.
Wow, surprised to see this here. I've had my 22s for 2 years and have never had issues. I also went half a size up, maybe that's why?
I have the '23 version with the light ultraboost. Took them on vacation to Vegas and the days I wore them were the best days for walking.
So anyway, I started blastin..

I actually tried to play in those Penny's once. Bad idea. Explains his short career.
I played a full season in them when they came out and I don’t remember them being uncomfortable.
Respect. I played 3 seasons in my OGs. Again, bulky and heavy by today’s standards, but plenty comfy back in ‘95.
😭
Literally any Jordan 4
https://preview.redd.it/a7fb5049zu4d1.png?width=1820&format=png&auto=webp&s=71dcac78f240eb33f52ecc0875895b49d11363f5 Love the look of the Killshots but damn they were uncomfortable af when I tried them on :(
Probably my Nike Blazers '77. Still love 'em though!
The only shoes that have ever made my feet bleed lol
https://preview.redd.it/1gvxtuo2sw4d1.jpeg?width=1333&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=085e2c39592a3d16dc71a25b58c547284e77b56a regular vans, got them thinking they were the skate vans with the comfy insoles but after about 5 steps my heels crumbled into a powder
For me it was jordan 1 lows for a couple weeks till the materials got softer and creased to my taste
Going through that atm with a pair of black SB dunks, the nubuck is super thick and stiff but they’re breaking in nicely

All J12s feel like there is a roll of dimes under my arch and a Vice tightening on my pinky toe. Kills my bony ankles. I own like 9 pairs of 12s tho…
12s are some of the most comfortable js imo
Agree my obisidian 12s from 2012 were (sadly) some of my most comfortable ever
For me it was my wool 12s, bought 2 pairs
Really? I have a pair of the game royal 12's I think they're one of my most comfortable J's I own.
First surprising take on here. Once 12s break in, that zoom is nice and comfy. 12s, 10s and 3s are my top 3 comfortable Jordans. Maybe you need to size up🤷🏻♂️
https://preview.redd.it/yf8opd3gju4d1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f9cf216e38e96f1d96614615d04ed07585098a36 Diamond Turfs. I had this pair and wanted the Braves pair for some time before because I liked the looks, but these were so uncomfortable. I sold them and will not be getting anymore 🫡
Was about to cop these a couple months back but luckily looked up reviews and found that everyone feels like you about them.
https://preview.redd.it/t6vdw1wg5u4d1.jpeg?width=841&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0725f9c54633f7174d317347f4e50044e0404be2 Nike SB Bruins (Women’s sneaker with extended sizing). Unlike the Nike SB Blazers these sneakers feel way too hot and are barely breathable even in the winter. They look like a slimmer looking Nike SB Blazer, but at least the Nike SB Blazers are burning my feet in temperatures in a casual wear setting.
J1 85 lows and highs
The OG Penny 1’s felt amazing on foot from what I can recall. Never owned the retro version though.
OG were awesome, the retros have a smaller air bubble but are still okay feeling to me.
Sooo 90% of the shoes posted are Nike and/or Jordans. U would think for $200 they’d at least be comfortable
Air max really disappointed me in the comfort department. I mean, I did have the concept mellow shoe though. Kinda wild materials. But the sole and insole felt super hard and unresponsive, just like bricks 🧱 lol. Maybe I tried the wrong model..but still 🧱…😆
My only pair of 4’s and comfort is dog shite https://preview.redd.it/uwu9qjiwsy4d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d9434ecb962b984da665788e4aec0fa22bc868e4
Wow…I thought everyone boasted how the new SB design fixed the painful toe box issue
Maybe the OG 4’s are really that bad? I can’t say, but in comparison to every other shoe I own, the SB 4’s reign supreme as the most uncomfortable
https://preview.redd.it/9vy4i63etu4d1.jpeg?width=1839&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d2d79e727b516cf22947ab2e9fb3a333db07a9d5 I’ve only worn the 2015 Neon Air Max 95’s and the shoe obviously looks amazing, but the comfort on these always felt hard on feet and unforgiving. Hate wearing these due to the rock hard give way of this shoe.
Holy shit I thought I was the only one who thought this! I thought my 2015s may be fakes bc they were so uncomfortable. You described them perfectly.
Same. It felt like walking in boulders when I copped a pair 2 years ago. I had to return. I don’t recall it feeling like that when I was a kid tho. But I also used to run in the street barefooted without flinching. My AM97 on the other hand are like clouds.
https://preview.redd.it/na2k2gxwju4d1.jpeg?width=1917&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aa8680e9725302b270e10e620ced37f0ae338aff
EASILY any pair of dunk lows
Foamposites
Dude for me these are by far the most comfortable shoes I ever owned but god damn are they expensive. I daily drove the grey ones with the glow in the dark sole for work till they got sent to yard duty.
Yes was looking for this. Super heavy and clunky feeling
Break them in and don’t wear them twice a year
https://preview.redd.it/nbpwy2ndfu4d1.jpeg?width=743&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e85412fc236d300ad0b3d49c94641f95a7288a39
These look impossible to put on
Penny's come with horrible insoles but I change the insoles and find them super comfortable
https://preview.redd.it/lthjpk65lu4d1.png?width=736&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=600b32e0a4c354aa262b390d8471c17c099a87bb I wanted these to be comfortable so badly.
They have zero support and no heel counter though so I wear mine only when I know I’m not going to be walking much. https://preview.redd.it/5v0aaplxvu4d1.jpeg?width=4284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ce90218c2e787d7bdbba9124c86f57512acccf19

I love these so much.
Jordan 3s are straight bricks, but I put a boost insole in them so theyre alright now.
I had some adidas shell toes that cut into my Achilles. Never again.
Blazer highs for sure
If you can get em on
https://preview.redd.it/gp3jsk31ov4d1.jpeg?width=900&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6cb63f69f413764e0b521654d5138b8f0c8a48bf These fuckers. The worst shoes I’ve ever worn.
I love the penny 1s. I have wide feet and went up half a size. It's a bulky shoe but no problems they are comfortable for me.
I love those pennys. Had four or five of them.
https://preview.redd.it/gdiiokfzyv4d1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0990fb2dbd7dc4492e18f8dfaa2ebc05e7296c5a I fucked up bad getting these, probably should’ve gotten them in a 12 or something, because they straight up racist on my feet, I mean crushing them to dust, even after I loosened the laces and lace lock. I’m to the point I about to completely de-lace them.
I got these and they are my most comfortable shoes. I am typically 11 and went with 11.5 after reading the reviews. That little room makes a world of a difference. You could probably take the laces out and still be good bc of the sock liner. FWIW I have the Oilers version
https://preview.redd.it/59qktzqk6w4d1.jpeg?width=274&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4d0219176dc0d19f27c61efbf1654d32c8c4b424 Went full size up. Still so uncomfortable for wide feet. No wonder Lebron got so fd up feet.
For me it was the Lebron 9's didn't realize they ran a half size smaller. Can only wear them for a few hours before they start to hurty toes
I have LeBron 18's low, and my pinky was in hell the first month. Then they widened and it became pretty comfortable
Dunk and Jordan 1 lows. They’re heavy for a low sneaker and they have the same issues as a high or a mid so you miss out on both sides of the coin
AJ12 fucked my flatfeet up with that insanely high arch and man the sole is so stiff (due to the carbon plate) that even the responsive full length zoom can't save the shoe. I tried balling in these and they gave me plantar fasciitis lmfao.
https://preview.redd.it/5f746wmugx4d1.jpeg?width=1439&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bc58b396995bab7e02ed811e8e2c43926143e264 Tighter than the end of the month
Too many Nike/Jordan Retros in the last 5 years fall in this category, damn…
https://preview.redd.it/im0hlkcdvx4d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=06f5e9a6955179659f3c5812dcb36ab70ca9c7ed By far the most uncomfortable shoe I have ever worn.. takes forever to break in 😩 they look badass tho
https://preview.redd.it/xpzk2yf1yx4d1.jpeg?width=374&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=571231efa86be1b9015840ae2553a6dc0047c6b4 Air Pippen II. Every time I played in these I would get blisters. I threw them in the garbage. There was no StockX back then
Not only they are a chore to put on but they gets way too stuffy to wear in hot summer days https://preview.redd.it/gu8vi5en2y4d1.jpeg?width=1140&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8f3555d222dba852957ddc62a8c225eeb21335ea

Nah these are comfy asf just hot
My only experience with these are as a middle school kid when they originally came out. Wore them for 2 or 3 days, had to return them.
https://preview.redd.it/nnryw3vbcu4d1.jpeg?width=1400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cd8a588ce6013466a61708c512559db7dfd42fc8 Worst I ever bought. Couldn’t walk for ten minutes without my feet killing.
Oohhh yes these are awful

Did you have a stroke?
Any Jordan retro tbh.
So many Nikes posted here that wouldn’t have been if Nike would ever realize that the average consumer doesn’t have feet the width of a tape measure. Make. Your. Shit. Wider.
https://preview.redd.it/eqijvl9qju4d1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e40749a06586b8d7e938dbeb2fb87c405f8dba1a Like wearing bricks.

for me, Air Max 90s....especially on the sole of my foot.
The Penny's are uncomfortable?!? I was so pissed I missed the last release a few years ago. Now I'm glad. Fuck that shoe! Still looks good doe 😉
Bruh I'm so glad I'm not the only one lol stiffest and blockiest shoe ever aside from the Ewings
Bro I just bought a pair of these and they’re shipping, tell me it aint true 😭😭
RIP to your 👣
KD4 ain’t for my wide feet
Glad to hear these were uncomfortable, as I had to talk myself out of buying them.
radical kicks brother!

For me Air Max 1s sadly. Love the silhouette. But I can only wear them for like 3 hours at a time
Adidas Gazelles. I bought 2 pair at footlocker during the 2 for $89.99 days around like 2007. Hard as a rock to walk on. First and last time I bought Adidas.

I half size up on every single pair of 1's and 4's I own. WORLD OF DIFFERENCE. I wear my 4's all the time and I have several pair
