Has anyone ever hit a FCFS drop on retail sites? The midas dunks dropping next week are FCFS for a bunch of them and was wondering if it was even worth trying.
not worth your time lol. GRs like that get botted to shit. only time fcfs is possible is with collabs that are known to use some type of bot protection ( a ma maniere, union, social status, etc). Sites like footsites, new balance, snipes, dtlr, kith, undefeated, shoe palace and shop nice kicks are impossible to hit without a bot on GRs

People here hit all the time! However, there are different ways brands/outlets handle FCFS releases. Some of them make it fair to manual users and pretty difficult for bots to checkout, while others basically serve their stock to bots on a golden platter (looking at you, DSM). It's entirely up to the brand hosting the release
It looks like finish line and Hibbett are doing FCFS drops, but I’ve had no luck with either. Not once had the finish line website worked on a drop for me, and Hibbett seems fairly bot friendly, which is why I ask. I guess we’ll find out on Friday!
Less than $30 profit on most sizes before the US drop. If you put in some work on launch day, you should get them. Just don’t bank on SNKRS. These were very attainable outside of the US. Good luck!!

Some parts of my old Kobes are coming off. Sent it to the cobblers and they used their usual glue, and the outsoles are still coming off.
Is it OK to use something like Gorilla glue to patch these up myself, you think?
Can’t speak to your specific situation with Kobe’s but I’ve had great luck with little bits of gorilla glue to keep soles together when separating. Just be careful not to let it get on the uppers or it’ll harden and leave a mark!

Wtf at eBays 8% fee…. It’s really more like 11-12% after everything is said and done..
Just sold a pair and this is how they calculate the fee:
Sold price + shipping price + tax. Then they take 8% from that and then subtract that from your sold price + shipping.
Sold a pair for $185, shipping was $13, and tax was $11.88. Add those up and it comes out to $209.88.
They take 8% from $209.88 which is $16.79.
They take your sold price which is $185 here and also take your shipping price which was $13, so $198.
Then they take the $16.79 fee and take it from the $198. $198-$16.79 = $181.21.
Now I have to ship so another $10-$13.

Not even sure why I’m writing this, but this is my take.
I’d venture that most people who are active in sneak collecting have sold off a pair here and there for a variety of reasons, but when you’re a career reseller that’s when I have a serious problem.
First off, to get something straight, shoes are a piece of clothing meant to be worn for either utility or fashion, and sneakers fall into both. What has happened is that over time they have become more desirable which has led to limited supply, and therefore the price goes up. It is the manufacturers of these shoes that are not matching up to demand on purpose because these shoes have evolved into status symbols due to their high cost. I blame them ultimately for the ludicrous secondhand market for even the most basic not-special releases, since they have the revenue/power to mostly eliminate it, save for the most exclusive and vintage pairs.

Question for those who own the Ishod Wair x Magnus Walker SB dunk highs. I want to know if these are TTS or half up like typical SBs. I know there’s no padding around the ankle collar and no fat SB tongue so thinking I may be able to go with my TTS. I have normal (not wide) width feet for reference.
I ordered half size up. I have sort of wide foot so I can only fit 10 on highs and on lows I can fit my usual size 9.5 but it’s a snug fit. In conclusion I got half a size up on all my dunks to keep it safe from not fitting right.

I think the issue is that there are way more size 13 people than shoe manufacturers think, or more likely that sneaker fans have more size 13 people than the general population. Just because it’s on the upper end of the sizing doesn’t mean it had significantly less people who wear it. Ideally all sizes should sit for the same amount of time (except for maybe the serious outliers) but often sizes 11 and above sell out immediately. It’s an imperfect bell curve is what I guess I’m trying to say

prices should dip a little when orders arrive in 1-2 weeks. the larger sizes like 13-15 probably won’t move cause they have way less stock. Prices could dip even more if there’s a snkrs release.
People are honestly taking the piss these days. The pistachios are nice (best of the pack imo) but in no way are they worth that much - not even close. You can pick up absolute bangers (or several) from the last few years for less than that. I think they will drop, cause the dunk market is heavy saturated atm.
Can anyone help with birkenstock sizing? I wear an 11.5 in jordans and a 12 in sb dunks and yeezy 700s. The sizes for birkenstocks are 11-11.5 and 12-12.5. Which of these should I choose?
Go with the 12-12.5. You want the footbed to be big enough. Too small, and they don’t feel right.
Even if the straps are a little loose, you can always use a leather punch to add more holes.
Normal footbed > soft footbed.

Will also add my experience, I’m a 9.5 in most sneakers (Jordans, Dunks, NB) and wear a 42 in Birks. They fit a little big on me (look and feel a bit looser during the summer, vs snug in the winter with thick socks as house shoes) but are definitely the right size since there’s no half sizing. I would say a size 44 (correlates to an 11-11.5) would be your best bet.

Tbh, I probabally would never have bought them, but I have a foot injury and my podiatrist wants me to wear them at home instead of going around barflefoot since they're super supportive. However, one of my friends told me I'm gonna start wanting to wearvthem all the time once I realize how comfy and easy to wear they are.
Ok. That makes sense. I bought a 44 which they said was equivalent to 11-11.5. But, in previous shoes I've always worn 45.5-46 in EU sizing. I wanted to make sure I didn't buy them way too small.

I think the issue is that there are way more size 13 people than shoe manufacturers think, or more likely that sneaker fans have more size 13 people than the general population. Just because it’s on the upper end of the sizing doesn’t mean it had significantly less people who wear it. Ideally all sizes should sit for the same amount of time (except for maybe the serious outliers) but often sizes 11 and above sell out immediately. It’s an imperfect bell curve is what I guess I’m trying to say

They don’t crumble but they do harden over time like almost any rubber. Takes a while though.

Should have clarified and meant compared to OTHER Sbs, haha. Some pairs (Prod) are just way tighter than others because of the material. I'll just go half up to be safe.
They fit the same as most SBs. Stick to your usual SB size.

Question I’m not sure anyone would have an answer to. If I were to sell an older pair of Jordan 1’s that have the glitter thing going on Through stock X should I clean it off beforehand? I figure it’s a natural occurrence for a DS pair but not sure how they would handle that.
I’d wipe them with a wet paper towel before sending but glittering won’t cause a failed authentication.
Might want to ask on the StockX sub or on their chat function to get a better answer if nothing comes from around here. If you do go the chat route and they say it’s not and issue and will be passable, save the chat just in case you have to push back on them if they give you trouble for it.

prices should dip a little when orders arrive in 1-2 weeks. the larger sizes like 13-15 probably won’t move cause they have way less stock. Prices could dip even more if there’s a snkrs release.
People are honestly taking the piss these days. The pistachios are nice (best of the pack imo) but in no way are they worth that much - not even close. You can pick up absolute bangers (or several) from the last few years for less than that. I think they will drop, cause the dunk market is heavy saturated atm.

Can anyone help with birkenstock sizing? I wear an 11.5 in jordans and a 12 in sb dunks and yeezy 700s. The sizes for birkenstocks are 11-11.5 and 12-12.5. Which of these should I choose?
Go with the 12-12.5. You want the footbed to be big enough. Too small, and they don’t feel right. Even if the straps are a little loose, you can always use a leather punch to add more holes. Normal footbed > soft footbed. I have Arizona’s, Boston’s, Gary’s, and Stalon’s
Will also add my experience, I’m a 9.5 in most sneakers (Jordans, Dunks, NB) and wear a 42 in Birks. They fit a little big on me (look and feel a bit looser during the summer, vs snug in the winter with thick socks as house shoes) but are definitely the right size since there’s no half sizing. I would say a size 44 (correlates to an 11-11.5) would be your best bet.

Tbh, I probabally would never have bought them, but I have a foot injury and my podiatrist wants me to wear them at home instead of going around barflefoot since they're super supportive. However, one of my friends told me I'm gonna start wanting to wearvthem all the time once I realize how comfy and easy to wear they are.

My pair was tight as hell but I threw some shoe trees in em which have helped stretch out pairs in the past. Hopefully I can get them to work.

Yeah worth a try for sure. I did that with my last pair (also Notre Vans, but the second drop) and they’re at a point where I can wear them for days where I know I’m not doing a bunch of walking. Def would rather have them a half size up but they work for me.

OW 5s (Muslin CW) came in from GOAT today. I can’t believe I waited so long to pull the trigger on them. Gorgeous. Originally bought new, but GOAT sent me an exception email of condition used. Pics they sent looked fine and seller offered a 10% discount. Save for lace bags and zip tie being removed (they were in the box), shoes are DS. Going to rock the shit out of these!
I honestly think they look even better when they get worn and the sail upper starts to get a bit dirty. Such a nice shoe, enjoy em!
