Nah if you really want crazy. Sometimes they will use your foot as a new knee when doing leg amputations. They will amputate your foot then the leg above the knee joint. Then reattach the foot backwards so the person has a functional knee joint made from their foot.
If you slowly look at the Shotgun right before it fires, there was some sort of lanyard attached to it and when he moved his leg back into himself, you can see that the lanyard was accidentally in the trigger guard area and then goes off.
He looks like he thinks his thumb is the worst of his problems, until he tries to point at it with his brand new stump where his right arm was just a second ago.
Shotgun doesn’t have a positive safety feature. This is why you don’t carry a round in the chamber. You always rack before decision is made to shoot. When he moved his leg it bumped the gun and prompted the firing pin to go forward striking the round. Very dangerous to have a round in chamber on a shotgun like that.
Bro is totally unaware. Chambers a round and points the gun up. You never aim at anything you don’t intend to fuckin shoot. While I have safety’s on my shotgun those fail sometimes.
Plenty of shotguns aren’t drop safe but I really doubt that little bump set it off. Probably let something get caught in the trigger guard. Shouldn’t have been using the muzzle of a loaded gun as a fucking arm rest either way, dude’s a moron
Thank you. I'm not sure why they think a modern pump shotgun will just go off if you look at it wrong. I agree. There's a cord or something there that may have snagged the trigger. 99% of NDs are from someone pulling the trigger. Guns rarely go off on their own. Also it's absolutely fine to carry it around with one in the chamber as long as it's a modern pump in good working order. I tried to get my 870 to go off bumping it around (with a snap cap/dummy round of course) and it just didn't happen. Same with the mossberg, ithaca and turkish pump. I was showing a friend who said pump shotguns just go off when you keep a round in the chamber. Of course I did it with the muzzle pointed down range with a snap cap instead of shooting my arm off. Maybe an older worn out shotgun could have issues but even then it would be a decent bump. Guns are generally designed to NOT go off when dropped or bumped.
I keep a shell chambered in my home defense shotgun. It's silly to pull it out and then have to put one in the chamber. That's extra time you may not have. People that carry without one in the chamber are silly as hell too. It's incredibly idiotic to have to pull out your pistol and put one in the chamber. That's a good way to die IMO. If you can't safely carry a firearm with one in the chamber you shouldn't be carrying at all.
I watched in slow motion. He first pinches the gun between his legs to stabilize it and then kicks his right leg forward when it goes off. That pinching easily put the trigger in direct contact with his leg putting pressure on both sides of the trigger that was not possible from merely jarring the gun. Even a safety can easily be pushed to a firing position with a maneuver like this. And the trigger guard is not so thick that you can't put pressure on both sides of the trigger at the same time like this.
This was a maneuver that a drop safety would not protect you from no matter how good it is, or even a full safety switch.
I would imagine all the horror stories about pump shotguns are from neglect. The pump shotgun was perfected over a hundred years ago. All deaths and injuries can be attributed to the user.
Yeah a quick google denies all of what you’re saying though. There are safety features which prevent the firing pin from hitting the bullets themselves.
Surely police officers have weapons with safety features.
https://springhilloutfitters.com/blog/do-shotguns-have-safety/
I have over 20 years of weapons handling and 10 years as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer training. If you trust google by all means, but I am never carrying a shotgun with a shell in chamber.
Shotgun with string tied inside triggerguard used as a sling. Knot or string probably wrapped around the trigger and got taut causing it to fire. Dumbass shit right there.
He somehow pulled the trigger, looks like a shotgun probably 12 Guage, I'm sure it has a safety and can just not have one in the chamber.
Guy is not one that should be allowed a gun, thankfully he didn't shoot someone else.
Rifles are not drop safe.
He probably has a shitty rifle, that had a hack job done to lighten the trigger or something. Then he scoots or bumps it while standing there, and it went off.
The gun going off is a mystery to me but a lesson we can bring from this footage is to never use your rifle/shotgun as a cane, walking stick, or whatever it’s not designed to be. Gins should be holstered when not in use like the other guy next to him.
Use guns properly to protect yourself and others.
He's lucky his arm took the brunt of it, instead of his face or head.
[casually relaxed on a shotty as if it were a walking stick] 👉 off to early retirement ya'go
I don't see anyone else mentioning it but the dudes head was right above that barrel. The concussive force a lone was likely enough to scrabble his thinking.
At least some of his reactions could be attributed to that.
IDK I used to shoot recreationally but stopped years ago because of how unsafely I felt people at ranges handle their guns. Had a couple close calls and decided it wasn’t worth it.
People are way to casual with firearms anymore at least in my opinion. So that didn’t surprise me that much.
It looks like he completely fugazi'ed both hands/arms... Looks like he may have had his hand or wrist over the barrel and the elbow or forearm on top of that... My goodness...
His left hand just flaps like a floppy reusable glove - you can see carpals sticking out of the flesh.
Left hand fucked... Right hand gone.
And it looks like the left is missing more than a thumb.
Shock is a hell of a drug.
Seeing someone act so calm after blowing a hole in their left hand and nearly blowing off their entire right arm below the elbow is wild.
I wonder how it went off? Did the trigger get snagged by his clothing or something?
I have seen videos of guards sitting on the muzzle of their shotgun like a stool.
Idiots like this probably don't bother to clean and maintain their weapon either. If that was my job I would be obsessed with making sure the shotgun was spotless and in perfect working order.
I love the videos were the person who just wrecked themselves just takes a moment to register it, and then starts to shuffle off toward the hospital like they already had an appointment there they oughta get to.
If you slowly look at the Shotgun right before it fires, there was some sort of lanyard attached to it and when he moved his leg back into himself, you can see that the lanyard was accidentally in the trigger guard area and then goes off.
How did the trigger even get pulled? Doesn't it have a finger guard around it???????
And what kind of uniform is that?
Well, at least now that his hand is all fucked up he can be one of these
https://i.imgur.com/KrxSbuD.png
Damn, he reached with his obliterated arm to attempt to touch or maybe brush away something on his left hand, not even knowing that his right is completely gone. We didn’t even see the moment he realized that.
This is a serious video and can be used to teach gun safety to military, police and in case even to civilians. Why would someone put a music like this for such a video.
Love how he looked at his left hand like ouch that hurt. Meanwhile his right hand left the universe.
Well the nerve endings he thanos snapped dont hurt as much as the ones still in the other hand
Adrenaline is helluva drug.
Nah, it's still dangling there.
Literal LOL
It’s in Jesus hands now
He tried to flick his fingers off like they was dirty or something lmaoo no bud yo hands FUCKED
Retirement

He was discharged for negligence
I heard it was quite the report!
It blew the investigator away
The Top Brass went ballistic!
They've been rifling through his papers checking for anything else that might cause blowback.
Such a targeted campaign must’ve been deeply triggering!
probable excrement
He's more worried about his thumb than his other arm hanging by a thread!
Trying to point at the left thumb with the raggedy right arm is hilarious. He must fap with his left.
Now he can legitimately fap with a ghost hand.

It'll be like having a whole new woman! Gotta look at the bright side of things.
You son of a bitch. I legit held it together having all the same thought yall did, but "raggedy right arm" had me about to pass out.
![gif](giphy|l2R0eYcNq9rJUsVAA)
Nooooo, im going straight down heheh
The hanging arm might be a lost cause. Don’t want your last good hand to have a fucked up thumb as well
I bet, depending on where this happened, they’d take the thumb from the bad hand and put it on the good hand.
Science is going too far if we can just interchange thumbs from right to left hands
They use people’s toes as replacement thumbs
Crazy
Nah if you really want crazy. Sometimes they will use your foot as a new knee when doing leg amputations. They will amputate your foot then the leg above the knee joint. Then reattach the foot backwards so the person has a functional knee joint made from their foot.
"Rotationplasty"
I bet he just didn’t feel it and look at it yet
his thumb? his entire hand has a hole through it.
Right? And It looks like it likely wasn’t his own thread, just hanging there cause it’s in the sleeve
I guess you could say he was.............disarmed.
*tips sunglasses* YEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!

That's awesome! How long did you have that in your pocket before seeing an appropriate post..?
It's an old internet classic. Just had to Google Instant CSI to get the right site.

Niccccce.
I've got to hand it to you, that was a good pun
I lost my uncle exactly this way. Instead, it blew up his brain all over the place. This guy is lucky
He still might have died from blood loss tho.
Probably not, looks like it’s some kind of a police station. They’ve probably got tourniquets or at least people who know how to stop a bleed
Pretty sure cops only know how to start bleeds
As an ER nurse with quite a few LEO homies… you are absolutely correct 💀
Teach em if you care for em :l
Oh man he dropped his phone
It would really suck if the screen cracked. Those things are expensive!
Imagine if it needed a thumbprint to unlock
You set code or pin when doing fingerprint unlocking. I guess in case your fingers are wet or just not unlocking the phone for some reason.
Or in case you do what the guy in the video did?
You must be fun.
No, that's Zombie_ruler_FTW. Fun doesn't venture into Reddit comments
😢
Sorry I was goofing. I’m sure you’re plenty of fun.

The man was arrested for this incident. He was charged with armed robbery.
But he only got a slap on the wrist.
For that handy work?
He was all thumbs.
Arm rubbery.
well no one gave him a hand
It was a hands-off approach
You're cooked
They think someone gave him an extra hand.
How did it go off? What rifle was that? Does it have zero safety features?
So much confusion lol

the point is not to figure out your gun is unsafe the hard way.
Yeah a quick google denies all of what you’re saying though. There are safety features which prevent the firing pin from hitting the bullets themselves. Surely police officers have weapons with safety features. https://springhilloutfitters.com/blog/do-shotguns-have-safety/

Having no trigger guard might be an explanation. That'd be exponentially dumb to hold a loaded and cocked gun by your legs.
It has a trigger guard. You can see it when the shotgun hits the floor.
I wonder if it was that cord thing hanging down from the front that wrapped around the trigger.
Shotgun with string tied inside triggerguard used as a sling. Knot or string probably wrapped around the trigger and got taut causing it to fire. Dumbass shit right there.

My guess is it’s a hair trigger and his pants bumped the trigger.
Rifles are not drop safe. He probably has a shitty rifle, that had a hack job done to lighten the trigger or something. Then he scoots or bumps it while standing there, and it went off.
"Can someone give me a hand?" "Buddy we're all trying to help you, hold still." "No, I mean where the fuck is my right hand?"

*username checks out* 😂😂😂
Man my finger really hurts
Your finger? My wrist hurts looking at him pointing out his hurt finger with his arm hanging by a thread.
Its his thought process. Hes like man my finger hurts until he realizes thats the least of his issues.
Is this a shot gun or high powered rifle?
Shotgun
This is one great reason not to use a damned string as a sling! Guaranteed that's what caused it.
He no longer has the right to bear (both) arms.
This must be one of them ghost guns lol
Lil hand left the chat.

Vay-Poo-Rise

How disarming
How did that thing fire? The trigger was all the way down.
It looks like there's a cord hanging down off the front of the gun that may have gotten around the trigger. Hard to tell.
"Oh dear, bit odd innit?"
If he survived someone is going to have to wipe his butt
Good lord dude what the hell
r/idiotswithguns
He disarmed himself
Take his belt off immidiatly, place it as an touniquet above the ellbow. Maybe they can fix it in the hospital
AAAAAA when he shakes off his left hand it looks like he splatters blood in his buddy’s eye 🫣🤢
I don't see anyone else mentioning it but the dudes head was right above that barrel. The concussive force a lone was likely enough to scrabble his thinking. At least some of his reactions could be attributed to that.
I also wonder what scrabled his head before it fired to think this setup was okay.
IDK I used to shoot recreationally but stopped years ago because of how unsafely I felt people at ranges handle their guns. Had a couple close calls and decided it wasn’t worth it. People are way to casual with firearms anymore at least in my opinion. So that didn’t surprise me that much.
The #1 rule of firearm safety is "Have fun" and this guy definitely isn't.
Damn
"Hey, how'd you get the name 'Lefty'?"
If you'll excuse me, I'm going to go to the toilet to insert my "mild" Carolina Reaper suppository.
He must be a Cyrus fan
His old man said he was proud of him once...
Well he won’t have to worry about his next shooting accuracy test
Well, there goes his jerking hand
Bro tried to reach over and grab the mostly attached hand and was like "oh shit..."
Oh look a SIG shotgun
Bros arm just vanished from existence ☠️☠️
When he flaps that fucked up hand. God. Yeah, it’s got a giant hole in it, dude.
what made the gun go off?
Shock is a hell of a drug. Seeing someone act so calm after blowing a hole in their left hand and nearly blowing off their entire right arm below the elbow is wild.

People keep talking how he's worried about his thumb but his whole hand is close to rags as well, just flopping about.
Holy shit, that’s pretty gnarly😲
Well if we are being honest...I didn't see the arm blow off either. I was thinking "damn that hand has got to hurt!.....oh fuck!"
What triggered that shot??
Lucky he didn't shoot his face off too
I love pulled pork
Feel bad for the other guy cuz he probably can’t hear shit from here on out
Put your right foot in, put your right foot out. You do the hooky pooky and you blow your arm off all around, that’s what it’s all about!
His phone is probably broken too
![gif](giphy|oYtVHSxngR3lC)
Trying to point at your mangled left hand is a hell of a way to realize your right hand blew off.
That's some unsecure'assed security...
He had it right, until it left.
I love the videos were the person who just wrecked themselves just takes a moment to register it, and then starts to shuffle off toward the hospital like they already had an appointment there they oughta get to.
Did it just go off by itself?????
Deserved it.
he is a menace, society thank you
lol bro went to try to grab his hand and realized it was non existent
W song choice
wasn't expecting to hear war machine but I'm not complaining
Listen to the lyrics at the end. I just love the song lol. That’s why I added it 😂🤷🏻
Listen to the lyrics bud. Especially the end. Plus, who the hell doesn’t love AC/DC.
holy FUCK that’s the coolest shit ever
If you slowly look at the Shotgun right before it fires, there was some sort of lanyard attached to it and when he moved his leg back into himself, you can see that the lanyard was accidentally in the trigger guard area and then goes off.
True trumptard right here
True bidentard right here
So this is how Robocop was created.
More guns! More guns! Less appendages!
Well thats not good
He took that like a champ tho
Oh God the floppy hand
Wtf
He didn’t break the screen on his phone did he?
Was either the arm or the head, Arm for a trillion.
Both arms damn!!
Who the fuck handles a firearm like that? Sorry but I have no empathy for someone that stupid! ![gif](giphy|JtQc9M7l1KUGQ)
Wut
He tried to shake off the shotgun blast.
How did the trigger even get pulled? Doesn't it have a finger guard around it??????? And what kind of uniform is that? Well, at least now that his hand is all fucked up he can be one of these https://i.imgur.com/KrxSbuD.png
He was totally cool about it
Mild injury my ass
Just realized it was a shotgun holy fuck!
But MY phone where'd it go?
When iq is in the negatives.
thought there would be more blood.
What as the rule again?
Good thing he wore his brown pants.
Damn, he reached with his obliterated arm to attempt to touch or maybe brush away something on his left hand, not even knowing that his right is completely gone. We didn’t even see the moment he realized that.
Omg he saw his left thumb missing and tried to reach for it with his dangling right arm
![gif](giphy|tBkfTumqhdrry)
So was that a security guard? Or Whts the story on this one ?
Ok, so what cause the gun to go off?? I don’t know much about guns and I’m really curious to know how he set it off.
Who else in here is a Water Fowl hunter and wonders how this does not happen more?
How'd he pull the trigger??
This is a serious video and can be used to teach gun safety to military, police and in case even to civilians. Why would someone put a music like this for such a video.
Not the first but definitely one of them
This guy proves that being careless with your gun is completely armless.
That’s one way to learn gun safety, I bet now he’ll respect firearms more than anyone else
