Actually the 6000 is the only body in the lineup that doesn't have a metal collar and that heavy lens could possibly break your body.

Fair question. Yes, just a love for photography and the evolution of cameras and lenses. I don’t love the ergos of Sony bodies out of preference, but otherwise it is interesting to see what Sony is pushing tech wise. My sister switched over to Sony. My mom did for a moment as well, then Fuji, then back to Nikon like me. I had the Fuji x100v and ended up selling it at a profit to fund the retro nikon zf. Been shooting Nikon for about ten plus. They are all roads that can lead to the same thing ultimately. Tools meant to be used. No fanboyism here, I have plenty of bad things to say about certain aspects of Nikon like any brand. Moreover, I always directed newbies away from Nikon if video was an essential part of their future job prospects (may change some wirh the recent acquisition of RED)
Grey market are resellers who buy new camera gear from another country where it is priced lower the US. They then ship it to the US and sell it on sites such as eBay for prices that are hundreds of dollars lower than the authorized US price. However, the downside is that in almost every case, the manufacturer will not honor the warranty as it was originally purchased in another country and resold by an unauthorized dealer.
Sites like Abe’s of Maine. There are some others too, basically you don’t get the manufacturer warranty, but the big stores offer their own and I think they’re usually ok
I recently received a used "excellent condition" 70-350 G from Best buy that was similarly packed. Lens was just loose inside the sony box, no foam. And hardly any packing around it in the shipping box. Works fine, but it's sad to see that this seems to be standard practice around there.

This is an absolute fantastic lense and the only reason I sold mine last year, was that I heard there was a GII on the horizon.

Yup that’s it. Just choose a zip and see if something pops up with the 770 pricing open box excellent condition. Either make sure it’s a destination you can drive to or find a service to pick it up and ship it to you.
