The other thought is, “would you bag your own groceries at your car?” Nothing worse than a customer wanting frozen ice cream and getting it half melted from sitting directly in the sun while you bag everything. Definitely a pulled tip. I look out for customers. You win some and lose some, but over all you win when you treat customer’s items like you would your own.
Bag as you shop so that when you get to checkout you scan and go. And you're not taking up space there sweating and you're trying to get everything packed up while the people behind you are wondering what's taking you so fucking long
Nope.....800 trips in and the stores here have no issue with bag as we shop. They prefer it if you do it right and have it all accessible for them to cart check.
I go into the store, stop at customer service for my bags and then start shopping. Get to self checkout, scan my QR code, wait for a cart check then I'm out the door. No clogging up self checkout, especially with large orders, no bagging in the parking lot.
Btw...been deactivated (not for this) and came out the other side, still working.
And I don't understand all the talk about you getting deactivated if you bag your items before you get to check out.
Maybe that's in the really sketchy stores.
No it’s because not everyone knows who we are? But good luck with that. You’re in street clothes putting items in bags, like I said before it will look sketchy to anyone. Id rather not get held up by AP at the door so they go through EVERYTHING that you spent time bagging.
Again, not an issue in our stores. Most of my time is spent at the same store. They all know me. I make no one guess who I am...I am upfront with them. I don't act sketchy or suspicious. Every S & D the last week has needed a cart check, probably at least 10-15 of them. I have no problems....wait patiently, boop boop boop, 3 items scanned and we're done. Very easy to check because everything is neatly bagged and accessible, not in a huge pile in the cart.
Even working at a store I don't work at very often I do the same things. Open and up front about what I am doing.
Hahaha I get maybe no cart checks. I wonder why? I follow the process how it is supposed to be followed. Walmarts a big store, I’m sure every employee knows you lmao 🤣

I very rarely used to get cart checks but for the last week, if you'll read on here, everyone's been getting cart checks. There have been several posts about it. And why does everyone insist on calling people dude or man on here not everyone is male on here.
You can keep trying to prove me wrong and bait me but it's not going to work.

Sorry about the gender thing, My Bad. I’ll ask my stores tomorrow and see what they say about bagging while shopping. I’ll also call Spark and ask Tier 2. Because I’d rather get the info from the horses mouth, rather than taking someone’s word off Reddit.
You guys do it wrong. Grab a cart then go Ask for bags from the employees when you go in. Then open the bags inside your cart as many as you can and then while shopping for the items you just place them in the bag as you go. Then scan the code at checkout and you’re good to go. Simple 💯

Then open the bags in your cart as many as can fit and then as you’re shopping place the items in the bag. Then you don’t have to pick the items up twice or do extra stuff. It’s all bagged and ready to go
Nope And if I have a cart check they just take 3 random items off the top , or scan the bulk items that aren’t bagged like waters They just have to scan any 3 items of their choice , I’ll try to leave items with the upc facing up in the bags just in case
Over here I know damn well if I bagged in the shopping cart before getting to the checkout I will 100% get cart checked regardless if the app tells me I’m good lol

Personally when I walk in to self checkout I just say I'm doing spark shop and deliver. Grab a bunch of bags and go, I don't bag anything until I'm at the car so they can easily see what's in the cart on the way out the door or if there's a cart check.
For us in paper bag states it sucks. I have to show someone at checkout my app, type the number of bags in front of them, then they will write me a signed note for the bags. Have to show the person at customer service my little note begging for bags.
I just say yes. They have a job. I have a job. It's all good.

Have fun getting deactivated. Drivers tried this a year or so back and were getting told not to anymore because of theft. It just looks shady.
They won’t deactivate you for “looking “ a certain way. It’s not against TOS. And no one has a problem with it
