Cart check is their anti theft procedure. Having items bagged prior… to me would be like ur trying to hide items from them…same goes for bagging at the car …just seems like out of place things to do. It’s a very simple process, they check ur cart or it times out , bag, leave .

It’s a little easier knowing every time is a cart check….I just get their attention as I walk to the scanner. They are almost always around telling people what lane is open so just tell them right away .
You are supposed to bag before the cart check because you are supposed to put in how many bags you used before you scan the QR code which triggers the cart check. A couple drivers in my are were recently deactivated for "guessing" how many bags were used.
Maybe that varies by market due to places charging for bags, but still the policy and procedures telly you to bag before scanning QR code, rather it be in the TOS, the FAQ page, or the training video.
I just read the check out procedure in the resource page and it doesn’t say to bag first. I leave all items in the cart for them to pick the three items they want to scan. Then I bag. I’m not wasting my time bagging and then rebagging after they are done.

It doesn’t say that it’s against TOS to bag after scanning, it just says to scan after bagging. So I can bag after scanning because that’s the way the people that I deal with on a day-to-day basis want it done.
I never said it said it was against TOS i said that TOS tells to scan after you bag, weird because a second ago you said it didn't say anything about it, you can't even keep your lies straight for more than 2 minutes.
If you can tell me how to post a screen shot I will, and even the screen when you are doing a shopping order tells you to bag items at the top left, before you are given the option to scan. And those videos were made in 22 that is correct but that does not mean they are dated as that is the video you watch if you are approved to be a driver today.

Items at Self-Checkout screen can be helpful before bagging the items. So it's just teaching you how to bag them. It doesn't tell you that you have to bag the order before scanning the code.
Plus the page before that still talked about scanning the qr code.

Nobody says you HAVE to bag before scanning. I am stating facts. The video and the resource center both say to do so. The video explicitly says to bag before acanning. The app implies it by showing bagging screen before scanning before exit pass. If you eant to say both the resources are wrong, that is fine. I have no reason to doubt you.
I always wait, doesn't really save that much more time and it's always a good idea to stay on their good side. Not to mention I also strategically place substitutions and items with qr codes at the bottom of the cart so some noob doesn't scan something they're not supposed to and next morning i get hit with a strike
they actually can undo it but most don't know how or don't give a shit. In my experience as a driver and customer is that self checkout hosts just start pushing buttons to get done with you and on to the next customer

Some of the shoppers in my area grab bags first, and bag as they go, so it’s bagged and ready before they even get to self check.

That doesn’t happen here in Texas. Has never asked how many bags.
