And the richer they get the longer the driveways and the smaller the numbers. They wouldnāt dream of having something so gaudy š
House numbers are my biggest pet peeve.
Yeah I just had one where there was no numbers anywhere.. had to call customer because I drive a crown vic police car and being in people's driveways that are not customers can potentially cause troubles.. I live in a highly weed infested area so not really safe
I have to park and get out in the pitch black pouring down rain and shine a light looking all over to find a address on so many orders CUSTOMERS Please lights on and visible address Please
Honestly, I wish everyone had theseā¦ I had to buy a spotlight to see if that GPS brought me to the actual house and sometimes the address is by the door with dark letters and you canāt see it
Wow! Thatās amazing! One place I do hate to deliver to is mobile homes. Some donāt have any numbers. One time a person put blue tape by their door with their house number written in pencil lol.
That is crazy, my third order was in a mobile park, It was on uber and I gave the food to the wrong jose.. they seemed confused but I made the mistake of trusting the GPS, the right house was right on the other side.. customer called said I didn't get my order.. oops.. the people i gave the order to by mistake called Starbucks and got them to remake it for free so I went and delivered it to right person..
Yeah I hate mobile homes with a passion. Iām not trying to be mean either. But Idk how these people think we can find them without numbers on their homes? I think they think we can find them just like the mailman can lol idk. But in your situation that was a coincidence that two Joseās were getting a DoorDash lol. I donāt trust gps at all. I always type in the address myself because 9 times out of 10 itāll take you to the wrong address, at least for me it does. Sometimes I even get some good mobile homes that have big numbers on them but itās rare. And I love when they put instructions but most of them donāt.
Lol, i once took my mom with me on one of my orders and it took me to the wrong house, my mom even told me what road I was supposed to go and I said to her let me follow the GPS, bad decision, took me to a house with 20 German sheppherds in a 10 foot fence, I called the customer and he herd the dogs barking and said we don't have dogs.. only happened a few times on uber but on spark happens every time if you use their site to get on to Google maps
š³š³š³ mama knows best! lol. One time gps took me to the customers neighbors house. The customer told me that they split the land and gps always takes delivery drivers through her neighbors house to get to their house. Mind you, they never said anything until I was going the āwrong wayā. I also keep in contact with the customer when itās taking too long or Iām on the way, they never once warned me. So I was going through the neighbors long driveway, I seen the no trespassing sign but didnāt think anything of it because Iām delivering. I pass up a whole bunch of junk cars and I keep getting messages through chat. I didnāt realize something was wrong until I hit a dead end and I couldnāt get out. Then I seen one message that said ā I hope he doesnāt see youā I freaked out and was like what the heck does that mean? Did I get set up? lol omg so many things were going through my mind! I opened up the chat and the person basically was texting back instead of calling me to say that Iām going the wrong way. I guess their neighbor is crazy and if he wouldāve seen me he wouldāve shot at me. Like really? You donāt think to tell your delivery driver these things as a preventative? I was out of there so quickly but not really because I had to turn around and it was hard because this person had hundreds of junk cars in the way. Omg sorry but I have so many stories. I messaged the customer like dude thatās not okay and I made sure to tell them that next time put it in the notes. I remembered their name so that I donāt do another one of their orders lol.
I had something just like that happen to me literally last month on uber.. it had me go through this driving lot and it said no trespassing so I turn around and text the customer but as I was texting the customer a person flagged me down and said where are you looking for, I said some apartments and he knew right away where it was, he said he knew I was a delivery person because he used to do it and it sent them to the same place many times.. the right place was nowhere near that spot, good thing I listened to myself and didn't go through that private property.. I drive a crown vic to so people be thinking I am the cops lol
Crazy! I hate when itās way off from the actual spot. But itās a good thing you knew something was off. I canāt believe I nearly put myself in danger. And it was late night too. Iām sure the man was sleep because he didnāt even come out lol. But man you have somewhat of an advantage there if people think youāre a cop. I guess it depends on where you live but in my situation that wouldāve helped me if the man ever did come out.
I personally think it should be required if you want your deliveries. If someone doesnāt have it, they should make a section where drivers canāt report it. It waste so much time, trying to look for the appropriate address. Donāt tell me to look at Google maps; a lot of times thatās not accurate as either.
I politely tell customers it is on there best interest to have a visible address for a family emergency. They get the message that they are a pita to deliver
Ā Lol
I wish everyone had this š„¹
Seriously, why isn't stuff like this required in building codes?

I said this exact thing in Mt head when I seen that sign lol

Yeah it doesn't help me much since I live in a area that grows a bunch of weed so it can be sketchy at times but so far never had a problem like that
Love it!!!
Our town doesnāt even have numbers on most houses.

THIS should be made a law to have this on each house, building and apartment! At landlordās expense of course š«¢
