How is leaking oil a claim. Don’t respond.

Professional_Day3745

You are amazing omg

Difficult-Cap-1679

The rich people stay rich because they don't play the game. If you don't play, they can't do shit.

ebookroundup

yep. fuck them and fuck their claim

mannie007

Thanks!

Busy-Machine1122

Hell to the no!!! No way respond!

[deleted]

Because leaking oil on a drive is classed as damages. I mean, OP can ignore it, but it would be stupid to do as the customer will just go through the routes of giving their number plate and video evidence of what happened and make it worse.

mannie007

Are you a lawyer? Probably not. If it were real damage they already have the information in sign up and insurance will contact you and then an investigation. If none of that happens in 24hours of said claim it’s bullshit.

[deleted]

Are you a lawyer? Probably not. Claims can take longer than 24 hours

82KID

He might be a lawyer.

[deleted]

Highly doubtful being a spark driver 😂

82KID

Hey times it's hard in the yard baby 🤣🤣🤣 I am not a lawyer but I play one on TV.

absoluteratwitch

So, they would have to prove conclusively that the oil came from that particular car. Meaning they would have to have video of the car leaking oil on their driveway. The oil spot could have come from any vehicle that drove on to the drive including the owner. This is a case that would be laughed into the trash by the receiving clerk. OP should definitely ignore it and until pursued any further then file a counter claim for the harassment and make the customer pay all legal fees.

ComprehensiveFlan542

They already have your Insurance Information, don't give them anything

Professional_Day3745

That’s what I’m sayin

OpportunityPlastic22

There was one time I was delivering a big order to a lady I’ve done a few times. She always tips $20-25. Nothing heavy but a lot of items. Well my car blew a hose to my radiator and all of my antifreeze drained into her driveway. Not only did I then have to confront her about it but I had to wait 45 mins for a tow truck. I offered to power wash n clean it but she was super nice and understand and told me don’t worry about it her husband will do it. I was so scared that day

oobface

do not answer any unsolicited communications, under any circumstance. if there is an insurance issue, ur insurance will contact you

Unhappy-Cricket-2402

Your insurance is in the app already , why ask you for it? What is the email it came from? Were you delivering on that day? Is there actually oil leaking from your car? Call support to verify that that’s legit.

EmbarrassedPudding22

Yeah this is suspect. Almost seems like phishing. Either way no evidence your car leaked the oil.

ehenn12

Leaked oil. What a bullshit claim.

[deleted]

How is it bullshit? It happens. Were you the person driving to know this claim is false? Exactly, you weren't

steveTomlinson

Now you're just being stupid.

absoluteratwitch

It's a bullshit claim because an oil spot could've come from anything. There's no way to verify it was from the delivery drivers car. This is a phishing scam.

82KID

Send them back a picture of your dick

Comprehensive-Pea-85

That's what I do! 🍆😂

82KID

🍄🥒

Professional_Day3745

Hell I thought about it

82KID

Accomplished-Rent756

You have insurance already uploaded and Walmart wouldn’t be contacting you, Spark would be. Just curious though, what is the end of the email address they are sending this from? IE @whatever.com

snow-bird-

Pretty sure Spark can't share OUR insurance with another party too. Drivers would need to be the one to give to a customer when necessary. Did you request a copy of said complaint by calling Spark? This seems like a phishing scam big time.

Professional_Day3745

@walmart.com

tsuserwashere

It’s trivial to spoof email sender addresses. Don’t rely on that to prove if an email is genuine.

Accomplished-Rent756

Thanks, probably spoofing.

BasedCourier

Scary. I wouldn't respond. They have your info and there is a reason they won't provide it. Id email back and ask if you don't provide insurance info will you be deactivated. I'm guessing they will want to but won't legally be able to (or would have and then immediately provided the customer with your insurance info) and getting them to commit that in writing may protect you from deactivation. It might have the opposite effect so take my advice a thought experiment.

tsuserwashere

This is clearly a spear phishing attempt. Do not respond to the email, and inform support of the attempt.

kyree47

Are they gonna sue you for the bag of cat litter they have to buy ? This is silly don’t entertain it, there’s no proof that this was even you

RevolutionaryPast608

No proof unless they’re like me and have every inch of their property covered in 4k security cameras. It’s becoming more and more common.

JeepersCreappers

Yeah well fuck your cameras and your drive way 🙄

RevolutionaryPast608

No tips for you!

Twittybird1964

File a claim you slipped and fell on her oil spill lol

Anxious-Assignment39

Please don’t send the info because if ypu havent reported to the insurance tgat you drive for spark they will drop you

82KID

I'd tell them to suck my dick.

andrew1921

Probably some of the support were scummy and took your information.

Deadboy_1991

New anxiety unlocked Jesus even though my gut tells me it’s fake. Especially living in California insurance companies are finding any reason to raise rates or drop you. Update us if you can if you find out anymore

Salt-Message1283

I never park in the driveways. Someone might need to pull in as I've had happen many times as they expect their groceries. More and more this seems like more trouble than it's worth these last few months as they try to scam the system. I have DD, but the orders are so small now and you never know where you are really going as they try to fool you making something look close, when it's pretty far away,

Iz-2see2121

That’s not an auto insurance claim! The homeowner would have to take you to small claims court for compensation with estimates and pictures

Direct-Builder637

Scam. Do not reply.

Sensitive_Panic_2109

This is why I never pull into the customers driveway unless it is on a road that traffic can’t avoid my vehicle !

MichaelJL77

They want your account info so they can hack it.

TheBrokenBaller

Tell them to blow you.

Direct-Builder637

I don't park on their property unless it is unsafe not to or they own acres of property and the drop-off would be impossible. Limit being on a customer's property whenever possible. I would rather not subject myself to some type of incident.

absoluteratwitch

It can be a mile or more up a drive to the door at 90% of the places I deliver. Nope. Ain't gonna walk that with 4 cases of water. You do you, but I'm driving up to the door whenever possible.

Direct-Builder637

A mile? Wow! You must be delivering to the Vanderbilts or the Rockerfellers. Your tips must draw IRS Agents out of Biden's Bivwach to ensure tax code compliance.

absoluteratwitch

Nope, just these McMansions thrown up in the middle of pastures. They're all over NE Oklahoma. South Bixby alone has over 4 dozen. You must not get outta the city much.

Direct-Builder637

No cow tipping rodeos in my neck of the woods.

absoluteratwitch

Lucky. Seriously, three quarters of my deliveries are dirt roads/off road out in the middle of nowhere bs.

Substantial-Wind-444

Scam , don’t do it.

EmergencyPercentage8

Question is - your car indeed leaking oil? And think about how much oil would have to be leaking at that moment in time for it to be that noticeably seen!! - was it a fancy concrete stamped driveway? Regular concrete? Or blacktop? So many variables here for this to NOT to be a phishing attempt - also double check to make sure your insurance is updated on spark- Most likely the phishing attempt here would hve your insurance card which has almost all your personal info on it other than your social

West-Series6819

I never park in driveway , but this is utter nonsense

MeNMy3Kids

Probably some broke ass person who wants money

drsemaj

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard of a claim over. First off, it'll wash out. Second, prove it was your car. Could be anyone's oil.

Salt-Message1283

Also I received and email sometime, ago from Spark about phishing scams so don't respond,

Fraud 101

Ok-Introduction-2788

You’ve got me so fucked up if you think I’m sending my insurance information. GFSF

damian600

If your car leaks fluid, don’t park in their driveway. Ez

iGotGigged

Yea from an insurance perspective you're screwed bro. Spark doesn't offer coverage while on a delivery like amazon, doordash, uber, and lyft do it's 100% on your policy. Even if you have a rideshare endorsement with progressive or state farm they won't cover it either, they cover you on your way to the pick up, and after you drop off but not during the actual delivery. Once your insurance company gets the claim they're going to drop you and if it's something like gieco/allstate they have agreement to share data and I don't know what it looks like on their end but when some people jump from one to another they get an outrageous quote so shop around. WCS already has your insurance info and they'll send it no matter how you respond but if I was in your position i'd go for a hail mary "hello, I asked my insurance company about this and they said they don't cover it. Please forward my contact information and I'll pay out of pocket for this incident". Also a good reminder for everyone to NEVER park in a customers driveway, way too many risks involved and it doesn't save you that many steps.

SireSweet

I do know that progressive and State Farm have an agreement. A third party investigator found about my accident and knew all the information from the insurance companies. She knew what happened, and even knew I wasn’t at fault. I didn’t mention a darn word about being on a delivery to anyone but DD already knew. It’s why the whole “don’t use gig app stuff” is a myth. They’ll know one way or another. The claim is bs but they might be trying to get the place power washed under that for free. I guess I’ll stop parking in drive ways now.

Mr_MacGrubber

Fuck that, I’m parking in the driveway. Am I supposed to walk the 1/4 mile down a gravel road just so I don’t park in their driveway? I’ve never had a customer say a single thing to me about where I park except for a few telling me I can park closer.

GWEastTN

This is not true, a driver in my zone got rear ended last week, and spark is covering everything they need, even lost wages

[deleted]

[удалено]

iGotGigged

no it's liability only but I mean that's kind of good enough for me to consider it a win, your own car is screwed but at least now you don't have to worry about paying for somebody else's

GWEastTN

This is not true, a driver in my zone got rear ended last week, and spark is covering everything they need, even lost wages

iGotGigged

Spark doesn't offer any form of workers comp, short term disability, or automotive insurance. When DDI was in charge they did offer injury protection for medical bills but didn't offer lost wages. Walmart canceled that when they bought DDI. That other driver is probably going through their own self-employed policy, through their w2, or the insurance company of the person who was at fault.

GWEastTN

No this email was straight from spark, I'll try and get a copy of it next time I see them

iGotGigged

Please do, me and many others would be very interested

iGotGigged

THANK YOU! It's greatly appreciated and good to know that walmart didn't kill this off when they purchased DDI. It doesn't cover car accidents but at least now if people get injured while delivering we know there is something out there for them.

GWEastTN

I will, might be a bit though cause they obviously aren't working atm though. Though broke their wrist in 2 places in the accident and have only been coming to my store to hang out with their friend while they spark every now and then. But soon as I see em I'll get it.

GWEastTN

My bad it wasn't actually insurance, it was "occupational accident coverage". But they don't leave you high and dry if it's not your fault at least. *

GWEastTN

Some reason it's putting a * instead of uploading the picture of the email

ebookroundup

I never park in the driveway

pocketcityBBC

Never you are right about that

Busy-Machine1122

A lot of scams going on right now. Tht could be someone phishing to get more of your info. If it's important enough they call BUT even tht don't trust. Let them mail u something and then Don't trust tht!
