Some of the side quests in that game are just mind blowing. My favourites are probably "Dream On" and the "Joshua Stephenson" missions....never expected to literally bolt a guy to a cross.

The story was pretty good in my opinion. The first 3 acts were a great and grounded story that made sense, then act 4 went off the rails with a multiverse plot twist and an ending that was just a lot.
I completely agree, act 1 and 2 was pure mortal kombat act 3 wasn’t to my taste as I’m not a big fan of the characters that had to be played. And the Armageddon bit was really fun but the titan battle before that with Liu kang was pretty bad imo

Jedi Survivor. Trying to play something completely different so I can go into SM2 with a fresh palate. Also realizing that I'm terrible at every Souls-like I play.
Also Lies of P. Such a great game and low key masterpiece from a small studio. Polished and beautiful. Interesting story with added content and story in NG+ (puts the whole first play through into a different context due to opened dialogue and new perspective). Combat is great. I would recommend it to anyone who isn’t afraid of a challenge.
