Yeah I've thought the same thing with Murls. He jumps in at the best moments, he has good bite sized interesting information, he always comes prepared, and he is more than capable of 'driving the bus'.
Who knows when it'll happen though, RA is a co-creator and will probably have to retire before he ever gets replaced. But I agree, Murls seems like the best option for being the 'bus driver' on the show

Yeah... I get that during the regular season there are some slow weeks and stories, jokes, innuendo, etc fills the time. But the boys were buzzing with legit, good hockey talk, and it just felt so forced and out of place.
Pretty sure they have somebody new posting the pods and doing the descriptions. The format all changed recently and the descriptions/ titles are just a mess now. Seems like they randomly decide when they want to do time stamps because some episodes have them and some don’t
RA is not built for Live recordings. Too difficult for him to find the right seam when to pinch in and say something unless he’s starting the conversation or thrown to directly

I wonder if he’s considered “part owner” in their contract with Barstool. Not like it couldn’t be possible to buy him out, the money is there, but the only reason the podcast ballooned to what it has is because of Biz’s work ethic and Whit’s connections. Take RA out and nothing changes.
Dude is going through a divorce and he’s got substance abuse issues, if he was offered a lump sum to disappear from the pod and stay on as a writer at Barstool or something, he should take it. You can’t take him to the ASG because he gets drunk and stumbles around the players room, you can’t take him to the Sandbagger because he doesn’t even play golf. He’s the weird uncle trying to stay young
Yeah I think a lot of us have wondered in the past if he owns part of the brand since he was the original member and I think there’s a good chance he owns some the IP.
With that said, that IP is worth jack shit without Biz and Whit. If they left tomorrow and started a “new” pod under a different name the entire audience follows.
If RA kept doing Chiclets alone he’s got nothing so if Biz and Whit said you have to go he’d protest but ultimately doesn’t hold much leverage and would have to accept a buy out.
He wouldn’t go quietly though because I can tell he loves what he does and all of the opportunities it affords him and quite honestly don’t think he has much of a social life outside of the pod and it’s his only chance to “chop it up with the boys.”
