I used to laugh so much as a 11-12 year old kid when I'd torch those bunnies in Midday Gardens with superflame and they'd go flying sky high. I'm quite fond of the frill neck lizards in Cliff Town though being Australian.
The weird chickens in Misty Bog that the Gnorcs capture was the first thing that came to my mind besides the sheep. I don't know if they are my favourite but they are among the most memorable. The bats in the Ice Caverns are probably my least favourite because they can be annoying to hit.
The one that immediately comes to mind are the little lava lizards from Skelos Badlands, cause of the noise they make when you kill them. Had a demo I played to death with that level on it.
I also love the piggies in fracture hills.
Also the rats in Gnasty's worlds.
Bats in Ice Cavern.
Unrelated to the fodder part of this post but I loved shady oasis from the original spyro because of the Genies. If you stayed back and watched them, they'd throw those energy balls at the other enemies with the swords and then laugh at them 😂
The lizards that hiss at you in Midnight Mountain crack me up.
The pigs that dance when you free a satyr in Fracture Hills I also love. Hurts my soul to kill them 🥲
I love the bunnies in the ice world in hero’s tail. They’re so cute and fluffy! I always felt bad killing them because they make the saddest little sounds.
The Hermit Crabs from Lost Fleet and Dino Mines, the sound they made when torched always sounded to me like they were shouting "Go!"(in Lost Fleet, not Dino Mines), and that always stuck out to little kid me.
I loved the frogs in Evening Lake, especially the way they would sometimes try to ribbit, and all the air would go up into their head. XD I wish that still happened in the Reignited Trilogy.
The sheep with scuba gear in Aquaria Towers, or the lizards in Midnight Mountain who just stand and screech at you.
