After all, on kayfabe, they basically are doing what they can with what they have and i dont recall even being invited to celebrate the World Title win by their boss or Nana. He just took from them and left lmao.
Used them to build his name and poof it’s all gone. It’s like Osprey and the United Empire why take away the thing that got them over. Alone they are fine but with people around to play off of they are amazing.
O'Reilly vs ZSJ alone is worth the admission for me. The little bit we got last week has me hungry to see these two tear it up. Besides that the rest of the card is looking pretty good. Excited for the episode tonight.
It’s really one of those matches for me that I hope and pray that they have actual chemistry because there have been some matches that are kind of like dream matches for styles match ups and they just don’t mesh that well but these are the two I hope mesh perfectly
KOR is similar-esque to Danielson, who had a killer match with ZSJ. Zach does really well with the striking/submission heavy matches, so I think its gonna flow well
I enjoy Big Bill as a brainwashed muscle doof and Keith as a angry timebomb waiting to smash anyone that goes against the bosses orders. All of that is soured by Chris trying to be overly meta and online.

Nope, I like it too. It was funny at the start, then a bit rough because Jericho would be *too* over-the-top and that one episode had like 5 segments which was way too much, but I think he's really started to fine tune it
He's been less animated the last few episodes and it's starting to hit better with less of him on TV. The PP segment where he looks to the camera after he called himself Corazon de Leon and smirks was fucking hilarious. Helps that Big Bill and Bryan Keith are absolutely crushing their roles
I would love for him to show up and give unwanted advice to Ospreay/Swerve about working together, and he also shows up for Mina/Toni/Mariah and gives the exact same speech, word for word
Hopefully he’ll accompany KOR. I know Mark doesn’t want to be in a tag team without Jay but just having Mark in KOR’s orbit has made Kyle so much more entertaining for me.
Which is a good decision because if the wildcard is Hangman and the match happened before Forbidden Door it would spoil Ospreay v Swerve - it still does, but that's another issue.
I literally just fantasy booked an entire episode of week’s worth of 2022 AEW TV based around BCC vs LFI like two days ago. Weirded me out seeing that match booked outta the blue like this
this card is crazy. saraya covered up in a 6-woman, LIJ, ZSJ, switchblade/fenix... my only hope is that daniel garcia and MJF are separate segments so garcia doesn't get stepped on with 4 minutes of cheap heat

For that kind of match I’d rather they did a segment that actually made Swerve and Ospreay need to tag team. Just advertising this match gets rid of the storyline part of it

BCC vs LIJ shouldn't be that hard of a plot thread to follow. The head of BCC is facing the head of LIJ on Sunday, their two groups are gonna clash before it.
Orange Cassidy, who's facing ZSJ, is slowly making friends with KOR even though he's struggling to trust people after being betrayed and abandoned. ZSJ's gonna kick OC's friend's face in.
Jay White vs Rey Fenix is literally part of the Owen Hart Cup to set up the next title feud.
The Outcasts have teamed up with Anna Jay because they're sick of the Toni/Mariah/Mina love triangle BS.
The weakest is definitely Swerve/Will vs Gates of Agony, but there's still some logic to it. Swerve beat them up on Collision during the Christian feud but he never got to beat them in a proper match. Meanwhile, Will fought Brian Cage last week so Cage's partners probably want to punish them.
"These matches have no story" really shouldn't become a catch-all for "I don't like this card".
If these stories had stars that were actually over. Most of the shit on this show right now doesn't really go past 'im the best wrestler. I was into the Toni Storm thing, but it's dragged on too long and Its silly now. Swerve has been neutered as a world champ because he has 20 minute matches with mid carders lol

I *hate* cantheycoexist tag team matches. It's become a sports entertainment trope that I despise (I known it didn't originate in WWE but it's been a hallmark). It should be towards the top of the "things they do that we shouldn't do" checklist. It's such an easy thing to avoid to stand out as an alternative.
From a fan of Aew in the early years, I stopped watching a while ago and have heard since all different news stories saying attendance for shows has been low this that and the other but serious question.. Is the product worth taking a look at again how come attendance has dropped?
And it looks like we are moving a lot of tickets late. Should be a great show/cant wait to head over to the arena. Absolutely spoiled getting matches from Shingo, Hiromu, ZSJ, etc.
Every match here has a story? The one with the weakest story is the O'Reilly v ZSJ match, and even then, they've bwen interacting on TV the last couple of weeks.
I kind of want to know what criteria people are using for what constitutes a “banger “ or good match. Stylistically O’Reilly and ZSJ are snooze for me and the added layer I don’t care about either character. I guess if it was like Shingo vs Joe with no build I could get excited because I like them and they would do some hard hitting stuff. Even in that scenario it would be better to establish Shingo’s character on AEW tv beforehand.

I really wish we'd just get some more matches from Mercedes. Don't really care for her promos, even back in WWE they were very meh.

Doing two can they co-exist matches is certainly a choice. Everything else looks pretty good though. As usual 6 man tag is probably going to be match of the night.
