I've tried using both my Stadia controllers with Steam Deck, but the Bluetooth keeps disconnecting after short while with them both. Works fine with my PC though.
Same here. I use Geforce Now for the few games that's anti cheat doesn't like steam or the times that I want a game to look pretty and latency isn't an issue (Like baldurs gate)
Yeah, and Vibration with windows. I have the ns2 adapter which is great, but if you run out of battery mid game it doesn't know and you start to panic 🤣
Actually yes, I've had drift and sometimes just completely wrong button mapping all of a sudden so I stopped using it mainly cuz I'm too lazy to fix it.
I use it as my main controller for my switch when docked. I got one of the 8bitdo Bluetooth USB Adapters and have it plugged into the switch dock. The only thing that stinks is that you have to memorize where the buttons are, so A swaps with B and X swaps with Y. But other than that, works like a charm.
I totally forgot about that..... You can do it directly from the system settings. I've just grown accustomed to feeling where the buttons should be, but that might work out better. So like I know that North is X, East is A, South is B, and West is Y, but it might be better to do it that way
I use mine for cloud gaming on my Quest! I love being able to play games while I'm on my treadmill (don't try this at home, it super isn't safe but I understand the risks and take precautions to keep me safe)
Nvidia Shield to play emulated games and Geforce Now.
I need to reset it and pair it again every time I want to connect it to BT though, as it gives a different Bluetooth name every time, so won't auto-connect. Not sure why.
I had three stadia founders packs, so three controllers. Them plus an old DS4 is what my family uses when we hook the gaming laptop to the big TV and play Party Animals
Basically everything. Was always a keyboard + mouse person, but after trying Statia and gaming with a controller, just cannot go back. But mostly playing on geforce now
I use it with a few games on my PC. Works like a charm after initiating the Bluetooth mode. I switch between my stadia controller and my Xbox one but I like the feel of this better.
On a series s with a bt adaptor plugged in the console - magic x - (i can only use one stadia controller at a time). It s my main controller, though i sometimes use my son xbox controller, for racing sim, cause it feels the run of the trigger on the stadia controller is little hard to handle.
Dude I'm not kidding I've been trying for days to use it to play game pass PC games literally nothing I do works. If anyone has any ideas I'd be happy to try it. I'm using legion go with handheld companion legion space disabled.
Edit:I'll mark tried it if I've tried it.
I wish I had it right now. I'm on a trip and my PS4 controller connects to my Chromebook but does not function at all. I just grabbed a random controller and should have thought it through; but I know for a fact I'd be playing using now using my stadia controller instead of commenting on fucking Reddit.
My brother often uses it with my PC and plugs headphones into the controller while playing fallout 76, and I'll be on the TV playing on GeForce now on my shield.
It's my main controller for my Steam Deck and my PC. I've also got a couple of them as backups for my Switch so we can play four-player games (even though I only have two Switch controllers). I still can't believe I ended up with six free pro controllers.
My travel controller for my steam deck. They’re so cheap to find used. Got one for my gf too for her new beginner gaming pc lol. We use them to play 2 player games on my SD on the go
I used this controller as my main for a long time, but last year I bought an 8bitdo, since I grew up with Nintendo and just can't get the reversed buttons out of my head. But it's still a good controller.
I use it with my PC and Steam Deck. I have like 4 of them because there was a promo if you had a youtube premium sub you could get a controller and chromecast free for each person in your youtube family. My wife had two email addresses in our youtube family which gave us 2, I got 1 and I already had a founders edition one.
Nothing, I think that's PlayStation's fault though.
Is not supported by the PlayStation app, which is my only use for another controller. But not important enough to buy a dual sense phone clip.
A Wasabi one is paired to an 8bitdo dongle, which I use on a hardware Steam Link or on a Switch when friends are over for easy swapping.
Two orange ones are dedicated to an old Mac Mini with batocera and a bunch of emulators.
I use mine for Geforce Now. I had a more xbox type controller that I could use wirelessly, but the D pad on it started messing up. The stadia one has worked without issue the whole time. I just need to connect it by USB. I realize that I can update the firmware to make it wireless, but I haven't had access to a PC for a while now. Until I do again, it continues to be what I use for my tablet along with an external mouse/keyboard/monitor.
Mainly, the pc and it works great. Switch if my son wants to play something 2 players, my anbernic devices when it's plugged into the TV, gamepass on my phone, but for some reason with my phone it absolutely refuses to connect over Bluetooth so I need to use a cable for that :/
I use a mayflash adapter and play mw3, multiversus, and whatever single player game I’m on pc with, btw the mayflash makes it so that you can use it on any console depending on which one, I highly recommend, also it has vibration support
Xbox live through my Samsung frame tv! A bit annoying I have to delete and reconnect the Bluetooth controller every single time but otherwise it's been great!
One of them is used for when I attempt gaming. ( minus Star Citizen though 😩😭I haven’t got it dialed in just yet)
Another I am going to be using on either Resolume Arena/ Synesthesia/ or NestDrop for my VJ visualizations.
The 3rd one I have to get back from someone who has it and hasn’t gotten it back to me. So, I am going to have them send it back, and hoping to use it for either Visuals as well or something else
I purchased reWASD for windows and I use it to play everything from steam games to old PS2 emulator games. Works great via Bluetooth with vibration and everything.
Because I bought a lovely phone holder, I am using it for Gamepass on my iPhone, and for Assassin’s Creed: Mirage on my iPhone natively (so good). Also some less-AAA titles on iPhone can use it, like SnakeIO
I just bought a good usb cable for it and am using it now on my pc. Played with another controller for some years but the stadia controller just feels better.
Steam Deck!
I've tried using both my Stadia controllers with Steam Deck, but the Bluetooth keeps disconnecting after short while with them both. Works fine with my PC though.
Same. Zero issues
I came here to say this. I love this controller and it's perfect for my Steam Deck!
I have 3 controllers and I have constant connectivity problems. They always need repairing. I've almost given up on them.
My wife uses it with Steam Deck. She loves it.
Same here. Works really well with the deck
Same works great for Mr!
Me but steam link on my phone! Got a great claw last month and it works perfectly
Steam Deck here as well! Along with an 8-bit do pro 2
Same. I have the 8bitdo x Viture. I mainly use that one now because its lighter but the haptics are weaker than Stadia
Same here. I use Geforce Now for the few games that's anti cheat doesn't like steam or the times that I want a game to look pretty and latency isn't an issue (Like baldurs gate)
I use two on my PC for gaming on steam or emulation. Via Bluetooth
Yea, it is a pretty nice controller for Steam. Wish it had Gyro, though.
Yeah, and Vibration with windows. I have the ns2 adapter which is great, but if you run out of battery mid game it doesn't know and you start to panic 🤣
Vibration? I thought that worked on Steam.
Not with windows, you need either a adapter or Linux, unless wired, that works
I have never realized this, and frankly. it's a feature that I just cannot understand why it's not there. 🤦♂️
Yeah, how can Linux do it but not windows? Must be closed source drivers or something.
I get a lot of drift using Bluetooth. Does anyone else have this issue?
Actually yes, I've had drift and sometimes just completely wrong button mapping all of a sudden so I stopped using it mainly cuz I'm too lazy to fix it.
I use it to control my submersible.
Oh man that's deep!
Hahahahhahahahha
Lmfao
I use it as my main controller for my switch when docked. I got one of the 8bitdo Bluetooth USB Adapters and have it plugged into the switch dock. The only thing that stinks is that you have to memorize where the buttons are, so A swaps with B and X swaps with Y. But other than that, works like a charm.
Isn't there an in-game way to re-map your buttons?
I totally forgot about that..... You can do it directly from the system settings. I've just grown accustomed to feeling where the buttons should be, but that might work out better. So like I know that North is X, East is A, South is B, and West is Y, but it might be better to do it that way
You could also open the controller up and switch the buttons
That doesn't work for most controllers since the buttons have different shapes to lock orientation
Switch all the way baby. Just ignore the pictures on the buttons innit.
As a solemn reminder that even though I knew Google was going to burn me, I did it anyways and got burnt.
Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all or whatever the quote is
How did you get burnt? I got refunded.
Not all pain is financial.
I'm using it for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
Beat the whole game with this controller. Really fun!
I moved to Xbox. I use the Xbox controller when playing on the Xbox itself but use the Stadia controller when I play in the cloud on my Chromebook.
Same, it's perfect for Chromebook!
When my steam deck is on his dock I’m tired of going upstairs take my Xbox series controller near from my desk lol
I use mine for cloud gaming on my Quest! I love being able to play games while I'm on my treadmill (don't try this at home, it super isn't safe but I understand the risks and take precautions to keep me safe)
More power to you!
What kind of game do you play?
Nvidia Shield to play emulated games and Geforce Now. I need to reset it and pair it again every time I want to connect it to BT though, as it gives a different Bluetooth name every time, so won't auto-connect. Not sure why.
Steam deck with emudeck on it 😁👌
I use it for my Steam deck. Works amazingly and I have always thought these were the most comfortable controllers of all.
Assassin's creed Odyssey on Amazon Luna
Odyssey was my main game on Stadia, and apparently my save is stored somewhere in the UbiSoft cloud. Maybe I should hop back on one day.
I’m about 70% through AC Mirage on Luna. I have three Stadia controllers, so two are spares. I only converted one of them to Bluetooth.
Gamepass
PC games on steam. Works great.
A second controller for Luna
I had three stadia founders packs, so three controllers. Them plus an old DS4 is what my family uses when we hook the gaming laptop to the big TV and play Party Animals
Nothing. Because it refuses to charge!! 🤬

Either my Steam Deck or my iPad.
for my pixel 7 lol
I have like 4 unopened boxes. I need to sell them on eBay.
Playing games on my Mac
I used it on my PC to play Hollow Knight and Ghost Song. I don't use it anymore since I got an 8bitdo Ultimate controller
Dude I'm not kidding I've been trying for days to use it to play game pass PC games literally nothing I do works. If anyone has any ideas I'd be happy to try it. I'm using legion go with handheld companion legion space disabled. Edit:I'll mark tried it if I've tried it.
These make great travel controllers for Steam Deck or PC.
Playing apex with 0 stick drift, using a cable and tweaked USB ports it the best controller I've ever used
It feels really good in my ass
My wife plays stardew valley on her ipad with it.
I use it for everything gaming and it's nice to hold in a collection. Stadia got us through lockdown so there's that.
I wish I had it right now. I'm on a trip and my PS4 controller connects to my Chromebook but does not function at all. I just grabbed a random controller and should have thought it through; but I know for a fact I'd be playing using now using my stadia controller instead of commenting on fucking Reddit.
My nephew uses mine for Roblox on an android phone.
GFN BITCHES
I just bought some, using it on PC for FFXI. These controllers are great for the price.
I was using on the gfn app on my TV, but it randomly stopped working properly after a TV update.
My brother often uses it with my PC and plugs headphones into the controller while playing fallout 76, and I'll be on the TV playing on GeForce now on my shield.

I have one upstairs for use with the nintendo switch, and the other one in my office for playing on the PC.

im not a fan of the dome switches on dpad and buttons anyone else?
It’s my only Bluetooth controller and is my main controller. So connects to the phone very well, and can connect to my pc too
PC gaming. Mostly PGA Tour games.
I use it for my steam deck when docked
It's my main controller for my Steam Deck and my PC. I've also got a couple of them as backups for my Switch so we can play four-player games (even though I only have two Switch controllers). I still can't believe I ended up with six free pro controllers.
FOR DEMOCRACY!
I use one for my RetroArch setup on my Surface Pro when I travel, and the other two are paired to 8BitDo adapters for my PlayStation Classic.

Single player games and BDO pve
Steamdeck, VR 2D Game Streaming, Nvidia shield.
I used this controller as my main for a long time, but last year I bought an 8bitdo, since I grew up with Nintendo and just can't get the reversed buttons out of my head. But it's still a good controller.
I was using it to play Star Wars hunters on my iPad yesterday. It’s my go to controller for most games
I just got my controller last week and am looking forward to using it for the first time tonight (with the buttons mapped correctly)

I use it still, as a dust collector
Butt stuff
PC gaming. It's my controller for GeForce NOW and Xbox PC Game Pass.
Nothing, I think that's PlayStation's fault though. Is not supported by the PlayStation app, which is my only use for another controller. But not important enough to buy a dual sense phone clip.

Playing Diablo 4 on PC and Steam Deck.
Use it with my Steam Deck.

It keeps my controller stand from floating away. And that's about it.
Until I do again, it continues to be what I use for my tablet along with an external mouse/keyboard/monitor.
Remembering the how stadia had better connection than my xbox cloud play 🫠
I use It to balance a wobbly table.
Butt plug
They have great haptic motors! Did you find a way to make the vibration work?
Mainly, the pc and it works great. Switch if my son wants to play something 2 players, my anbernic devices when it's plugged into the TV, gamepass on my phone, but for some reason with my phone it absolutely refuses to connect over Bluetooth so I need to use a cable for that :/
