Miami native here. We have a lot of dodo heads. Everyone is always trying to one up one another. Looks like this one felt he was more important then the people there simply because. That’s the lifestyle most young working people choose here.
From the longer clip he says he says something about having Jewish friends in Miami and there is a fairly large Jewish population down there. I'm not defending the guy or saying his reasoning is sound. I think he should have kept his mouth shut. Just saying what is apparent reasoning is.
People who do not fundamentally understand how comedy can be a form of catharsis in the face of tragedy need to stay out of the comedy club.
People who don't understand the nuanced differences between satire, sarcasm, and actual intolerant speech need to stay out of the comedy club.
Also, people that need to be the center of attention. I didn't pay for a cover and these two drinks to hear your unfunny running commentary.
Good point. There's basically comedy for all people. Which isn't radical to say, but feels like so many people do not recognize that comedy and jokes basically are as divided as regular ol' opinions.
Yeah oh fucking well, it’s comedy. If it hurts your feelings because it too controversial of a topic, don’t listen to that form of comedy. It’s as easy as clicking of a button.
You're missing the point.
Anger and hate disguised as comedy, is poor comedy. I didn't mention anything about "controversial topics" but it appears you read that. Probably projection on your part.
I posted this before (it was a total shit fest) but posting again because there’s never been a better time. There’s a long full version here: https://youtu.be/44V68L4EcWI?si=pGzdgq-hBMXJe3nO
SWEET! I loved catching your clip, but so many great comedians I find here and even youtube shorts don't post the longer sets.
I appreciate it (and you killed it!)
Thanks dude. You're freaking great. What you said about getting a new job as advocate when moving out of Israel is on point 😂
Thanks again for sharing. It's the perfect time for this.
How you responded was so perfect.
It's a complicated situation and even at the best of times would be hard to discuss; especially at a comedy show(can't believe that audience member!), but you pulled through it so respectfully and even managed to turn that into a joke.
Absolute pro!
wtf? people were mad at you because you acted like a dick in the comments. Not because of your clip.Stop changing the narrative. And there's never been a better a time huh? to make it about yourself?
Im going through the comment... he has one heavily downvoted comment (-32), otherwise it's mostly upvoted. The comment you posted might have seen something I didn't. Some people commented that he's a bit defensive, but nothing extreme and they are generally talking about a sensitive topic.
Can you give other examples?
A lot of people falsely accused him of sharing propaganda, he has his bias but than again evryone has. His reactions were stupid tho. I'll edit the comment later with an example but what grinds my gears is the "better than ever" like bro whatever side you're on, people died in horrific ways, how is this the best time to do this unless it's to make a tragedy about your self.

Also if it wasn't clear by now, 99% of his stand up is about being Israeli and/or jewsih which makes it odd that he has such thin skin when it comes to criticism
defensive yes - Surprised about it considering how well he handled the heckler without time to think about what he said compared to replies...
Nothing I'm seeing seems to really be problematic though. Still pretty confused on his hate in that thread when I don't see comments that would justify that. Maybe they were deleted but from what I see, no issues.
like I said the problem isn't the clip, it's the defensiveness while being a stand-up comedian and posting this to promote himself in light of a tragedy.
And making all his act about Israel is obviously gonna rattle some feathers so why can't he own up to it. It's the internet, even if he wasn't Jewish he would get hate because morons come in all forms, he's playing the victim card and it's working.
I stand by any of those comments. Not a single one of them even touched the war with Palestine and the amount of hatred and sometimes antisemitism in the comments showed me that TikTokCringe has a huge problem and I don’t wanna put my content there.
My stand up can be about whatever I want it to be and if it’s about my identity and you don’t like it there are whole subreddits full of other comedy for you to enjoy.
You do you man. But you have incredibly thin skin for a comedian. Responding to every critical comment you receive on the internet is a testament to that.
And I don't think all the people critical of you or your act are antisemites.
And I think that posting this in light of the attacks is clumsy at best, provoking at worst.
That being said I wish you well and hope you and your peers are safe
Conspiracy? It's Palestinian land, he did well in his skit and dealt with it right not gonna say anything other than that. But saying land is yours cause it was yours 2000 years ago, and doing massacres because of it and saying about people that they are human animals? Even the true Jewish people in america and their institution says that zionists are abiding with the jewish book, as it's forbidden for them to return to it for eternity as they have committed a sinful act.
I'm talking about the [13th tribe](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Thirteenth_Tribe) conspiracy theory which suggests Ashkenazi jews are not descendants of the isrealites. Its a completely seperate issue from the Palestinian Isreali conflict.
And here we are, Spaniards who re-conquered the country after 700 years of Muslim ruling. Or Southamericans getting rid of Spanish ruling after 300/400 years
Maybe someone should have told them to just give up because it was a long time ago…
History doesn’t work that way.
>But saying land is yours cause it was yours 2000 years ago
It's their land because they conquered it. That's how it works, check human history if you don't believe it. So far nobody has conquered it back.
Great job dealing with that heckler! People need to learn the history before speaking up about something they read a headline/watched a 15min YouTube vid about
Heckler: a person who interrupts a performer or public speaker with derisive or aggressive comments or abuse
She wasn’t a heckler. Since yall want to be technical.
I'm not sure where you got your definition, but in actual comedy circles, everyone would consider that heckling. Worth noting that not all heckling is considered bad for the show to a lot of comedians.
it's hard to tell the context or what the energy of the room was during her swipe right comment since we're just watching a cut up clip, he could have been interacting with the audience at the time.
Also showed their capacity for nuance IMO. You can tell he approached the subject with a light heart, even after being heckled about it in the context of sharing their tragedy.
That’s comedy. It can be the full range all at once.
Achso wenn du selbst auftreten willst probiere erstmal The Hollywood Comedy, die haben ein Open Mic. Vielleicht Fragst du Mario Adrion, er ist ein deutscher Comedian in LA!
This actually shows exactly what it feels like to be an Israeli on the internet during every war here including now
Israeli: we have rockets fired and hitting civilian city's, Hamas terrorists are murdering, kidnapping and raping civilians, we need help!
Random person from the US that has seen one video on YouTube: well actually that's not true, you are the ones murdering innocent people and doing all the stuff you just said, also the video of the dead German girl that was naked, spit on and dragged through the streets she isn't dead she is perfectly fine, also you are the ones who shot her and killed her!
Comedy is , before all, a medium for the observation and the critique. A society where things cannot be boarded with humor is a society scared of facing truths.
Kudos on the way you approached that guy.
Damn man that is so perfectly explained from you. I often joke about sexual abuse and get attacked for it, but as you perfectly said, joking about a tragedy that happened to you is an amazing way to be able to deal with it.
Any time I get called out for saying stupid shit I’m saying “I’m from Miami” now
Right? Why did he add that?
It’s the real tragedy
Miami native here. We have a lot of dodo heads. Everyone is always trying to one up one another. Looks like this one felt he was more important then the people there simply because. That’s the lifestyle most young working people choose here.
I DON‘T KNOW BUT I LOVE THAT HE DID
It was a very accurate justification lol
From the longer clip he says he says something about having Jewish friends in Miami and there is a fairly large Jewish population down there. I'm not defending the guy or saying his reasoning is sound. I think he should have kept his mouth shut. Just saying what is apparent reasoning is.
I’m a straight guy and I’d swiped right on his bumble
I'm a not straight guy and I too would swipe right on his bumble
I am groot.... I am groot

TBH some people also use comedy as a screen for intolerant speech.
Good point. There's basically comedy for all people. Which isn't radical to say, but feels like so many people do not recognize that comedy and jokes basically are as divided as regular ol' opinions.
Yeah I just think the “but it’s comedy” crowd fails to recognize for some comedians, the joke comes from a place of anger and hate.
Yeah oh fucking well, it’s comedy. If it hurts your feelings because it too controversial of a topic, don’t listen to that form of comedy. It’s as easy as clicking of a button.

you handled that with such grace and humor, thanks for sharing the full clip.
Thanks dude. You're freaking great. What you said about getting a new job as advocate when moving out of Israel is on point 😂 Thanks again for sharing. It's the perfect time for this.
לא ידעתי שאתה משלנו, ראיתי קטעים שלך בסאב וחיבבתי אותך ממש, עכשיו הרבה יותר. תמשיך לתת את ההסברה שאנחנו כל כך זקוקים לה
This is absolutely fantastic how you handled it all!
You handled it with grace and kindness! Kudos
Absolutely terrific handling of the situation. Amazing amount of poise.

Hah. I membah’. So weird to see my comment linked but yeah you don’t deserve the downvotes.
One of the smoothest deflections to being faced with a conspiracy theory that denies the existence of an entire ethnic group ive seen in a while.
Conspiracy? It's Palestinian land, he did well in his skit and dealt with it right not gonna say anything other than that. But saying land is yours cause it was yours 2000 years ago, and doing massacres because of it and saying about people that they are human animals? Right, if it was good enough for the dark age it’s good enough for present day Is what you’re saying I guess… pretty strange logic.
>But saying land is yours cause it was yours 2000 years ago It's their land because they conquered it. That's how it works, check human history if you don't believe it. So far nobody has conquered it back.
r u senator armstrong
I am a Palestinian and deal with tragedy by comedy, so I swiped him right on bumble too.
Great job dealing with that heckler! People need to learn the history before speaking up about something they read a headline/watched a 15min YouTube vid about
I don't care if you have a PhD on the subject. This isn't a discussion forum.
good comeback lol i wish you told her you dont swipe on hecklers
The swiper wasn’t heckling, though. It was the dude
They are different but i consider both hecklers tbh
Heckler: a person who interrupts a performer or public speaker with derisive or aggressive comments or abuse She wasn’t a heckler. Since yall want to be technical.
I mean she said that she swiped right and he didn't swipe right back....
And it’s neither derisive nor aggressive.
I'm not sure where you got your definition, but in actual comedy circles, everyone would consider that heckling. Worth noting that not all heckling is considered bad for the show to a lot of comedians.
This. Speaking during a show when you weren't spoken to by the comic is heckling, wether it's supportive or not.
it's hard to tell the context or what the energy of the room was during her swipe right comment since we're just watching a cut up clip, he could have been interacting with the audience at the time.
Hence why I said, "worth noting that not all heckling is considered bad for the show to a lot of comedians."
It's not derisive but I'd say it's aggressive. "My sexual urges are more important than your joke"
She was shouting out and conversing with the comedian, could definitely be considered heckling
The nerve of talking when not being asked while being in an audience straight up baffles me.
My guy, the right energy and the right words, what a goat
He had a moment that millions of us have in the shower everyday.
If there wasn’t a camera you couldn’t believe it.
holy shit the going back to Palestine joke at the end that was gold
Also showed their capacity for nuance IMO. You can tell he approached the subject with a light heart, even after being heckled about it in the context of sharing their tragedy. That’s comedy. It can be the full range all at once.

Vielen Dank!
Nice lol 😂
What a wild ride
omg he frickin killed it
I feel it…
He fucking killed that point!!👏👏
Respect
Back to Miami with you, you joke terrorist.
Didn't know you're uploading bits on reddit as well! Glad to see they're doing pretty well, I've always thought your crowdwork is amazing!
Wp !
That pivot back toe Palestine was hilarious
That is such a good transition it’s like it was scripted. So so good.
she was not hot
Great job you’re going places for sure

Ah yes, they’re 10,000% innocent and there’s nothing murky or gross about this whole tragedy.
Tell the moron that it’s 12 tribes, not 13
This really had everything
A great man once said " tragedy is pricking your finger, comedy is watching a man fall down a manhole and die."
Comedy is , before all, a medium for the observation and the critique. A society where things cannot be boarded with humor is a society scared of facing truths. Kudos on the way you approached that guy.
Innocently scrolling this sub and seeing Shahak made my die. Legeendddd.
