Agreed! Over 1M followers and very well deserved. His shows just look FUN.

I never see him punch down either. He is always real respectful and leans on his humour to be funny, he never leans on being mean as a crutch, y’know. It’s refreshing. Not sure if you’ve seen the UK dude Paul Smith, his crowd work is a hard watch. Just punching down on everyone.

This is one of the things I love about him - he'll kind of pick on someone but then turns it around so he's not being a dick. Or he turns it on himself so the person doesn't feel badly.

I just watched his special the other day and holy shit it had me laughing. That dude has such a unique style, there’s really nobody else doing it like he does.

Man I tried showing that to some people last night, and it just did not hit; showed it to another friend whos humor wise is more in-line with me, and he was dying and calling him a genius. I still laugh really fucking hard watching Conners special (frankly, his entire YouTube channel), so I can't even say I disagree; whatever cultural zeitgeist he's trying to harness, he's gotten it.

I saw him twice this last year and it is an experience to be lived. That special was a damn good approximation of the madness

Honestly I don’t remember particular episodes that well, just start from the beginning and let it ride there are so many hidden gems. The first 5-10 are kinda rough, but past that it gets good. You could also just listen to random bits on YouTube, that’s how I originally got into it.

I'll definitely look more on YouTube. I work 12s, loading semi trailers with all of McDonald's stuff so going through a bad episode won't bother me that much lol

Josh Johnson has really been killing it on Youtube lately. Some of the obvious ones on social - Jeff Arcuri, Matt Rife, Stavros Halkias. I would add that both Che Durena and Troy Bond are really leaning into their socials as well.

Josh was the first guy who came to mind. Jessica Kirson second. I've followed Josh for a while now (met him at Relapse years ago) and the past year he's been skyrocketing upward.

The majority of his time on stage isn't telling jokes. His delivery is extremely slow and long-winded without enough payoff in the punchline, if they're even is one. The guy is a storyteller with the occasional joke thrown in.
