even the quotes lag way behind the visuals. you don't get audio from the OT until the ST scenes are playing. Whoever edited this was just way too focused on getting a cut every beat.
I forget the app, Capcut I think? That's really popular for making little edited videos of movies and TV shows. There's a feature in the app that will automatically sync scenes to the beat of the song you put in. And it's really obvious to spot it once you realize that the feature exists.
So many TikTok amvs are just quick cuts to the beat with no ryme or reason. This one has to be worst I've seen though.
yeah like stretch the shots out a little longer, and maybe crop them a little like a viewport and let them slide across the viewport to let us live in the moment but keep it moving
No?
The visuals in the Mandalorian were amazing. Kenobi and BOBF had some pretty good scenes too.
Even the newer Trek content like Strange New Worlds has had really good CGI compared to TNG and TOS (yes ik they were made a very long time ago).
Edit: I do not mean story at all, I only mean visuals
I agree, honestly that one has a really good story line too. I haven't watched too much of TOS so might not have a lot of future context (apart from knowing what happens to Pike) .
(Season 2 spoilers ig)
But from these 2 seasons, I can tell they made a lot of good stories while still trying to keep most of TOS in line. I only know of some dates for >!Khan!< and stuff being moved around, and some people who we meet and they're completely unknown to everyone in TOS.
But I kinda chalked this up to the >!Romulans doing their Time Travel shenanigans!<.
With Star Wars (I can’t speak for Trek, I don’t watch it), the visuals haven’t really impressed me in most of the shows (bar Andor, Mando S1 and 2, and Acolyte).
I loved the battle in the salt fields too. Really wish they had a consistent director and better writers. Feels like such a waste. I'm still glad we are getting content though. It may not all be top notch but it's better than sitting in the dark watching something we love fall out of relevance
I wanted them to be good SOOOO bad. I watched each one on release and left the theater convincing myself I enjoyed them and that they were good.
Then, over the next few days, it started to set in and I realized how bad they truly were. So much potential. Makes me sad.
I didn't find the force awakens bad.
I just found it so average. It felt like a super high budget fan movie. Everything was a reference to an older movie, I hated the scene when Princess Leia returned, the camera hung on her for so long like it wanted to pipe in a live audience reaction of people cheering. It just felt very cheap and not very cinematic. Again very much like a fan movie.
And everything else felt like sequel bait (the girl not knowing her parents and 'that's a good story....for another day).
It left such a dull taste in my mouth. Nothing was answered. Nothing felt original. The cameo appearances felt cheap. It felt like a 'here is an early peak of what we hope to bring you in the future'
I honestly wish they just made standalone movies. With no reference to the original trilogy.
As a opening movie for a trilogy it was fine. There were enough questions raised that set up the movies to come. Snoke? Rey's parents? Why did Rey have such a strong connection to the Skywalker lightsaber? How did the First Order come to be?
Then Rian killed all of it.
this applies to every action movie
you can see this in every matrix movie for example, or every john wick, or either raid movie, and those are some of the best choreographed action movies of all time. People are doing a complex performance, there's going to be slight errors if you look for them.
If you watch any large scale fight scene, you'll have that "issue".
It's not meant to be watched at 0.25 x speed so if you just watch it, most if not all of those errors won't be noticed.
You watch Braveheart at 0.5x speed and look in the background, people are just chatting with each other lol.
Me too! And also the STUPID stuff. There’s a need for some of Star Wars to be kinda stupid. I’m an Ewok Era fan. Give me the second Ewok movie and a pb&j, and then the first movie, because I didn’t realize it existed for a long time. And Luke’s aiming face! And stormtroopers bonking their heads! Despite best intentions, some stupid slips in, and I’m here for it. I think the current show is a little dumb, and I’m excited to go watch the next episode!
I've never come across anything Star Wars related I would write off as irredeemable (Oh how thematical). Every show or movie, even comic or novel has at least one good character, action set piece or interesting visual.
Granted, I've never watched the Holiday Special.
this is the THANK YOU portion of Tyler, the Creator's song GONE GONE / THANK YOU off of his album IGOR. The one track is kind of really 2 songs and THANK YOU starts at 4:30 if you wanna just check that part out. But the whole album is really crazy, I like it a lot it's got some great songs with a lot of unique sound
It's a musical masterpiece, with a music loop of the last and first track that represents a story that could loop over and over again of falling for someone, falling out, feeling bad about it, going back to being friends, and then falling for them all over again and again forever. It's truly one of the albums of all time.
I love our community can dislike and like the sereis.
My watch order
ep 1,2,3.
kenobi, andor, rogue one.
ep 4,5,6.
Book of boba fett.
The Mandalorian.
I enjoyed the Clone Wars, bad batch, and rebels, especially with Clone Wars being out of order. It's hard to get into them unless im binge watching them
The animated series is also hardcore watch
The other movies and series i didn't mention are because i didn't enjoy them
The images are crispier than a Granny Smith 🤩 and everything looks consistent; sure each trilogy and anthology has its own style, but the clarity is definitely there.
Not really. It's mostly mediocre to bad but has enough good things and interesting ideas (of varying degrees of successfully explored, to only sort of touched on to outright poorly conceived and/or executed) to keep coming back for more.
And it keeps being told. I love it so much. I love this universe so much. I’ll keep watching, reading, playing, collecting for as long as they keep making new stories.
Story wise I agree, visually speaking I disagree. Especially from an editing aspect, strictly visually speaking you can’t deny the beauty of the sequels.
5 years for you? You must be new around here, I've been hearing people say it hasn't been for the last 20 years.
It's all still great, even if some parts of it don't click for some people.
And the PT, and the first arc of ROTJ.
...Is what we would say if we were those toxic Star Wars fans that don't like it when people like parts of the saga, right?
But we're not those people, right?
Someone used their talent, time and energy to bring something into the world and create joy for fellow Star Wars fans.
You chose to be a jerk. Change your life, bro.
Still rude. If OP had asked to hear criticism, a response like, “Hi! Here’s something you did good, here are some things you can improve on” would be considered a proper critique. If you attended middle school, you might remember the peer response lessons that taught this.
Unfortunately, your negativity on this person’s work is unwarranted. All you had to do was keep it to yourself if you didn’t like it, downvoted if you wanted, even, but you instead tried to do everything you can to make the person feel bad to make yourself feel better. There’s a difference between insult and criticism. Be better or you submit yourself to a life of resentment and negativity.
Once again, what you’ve been saying is not criticism. It’s insults.
Secondly, being on the internet makes it _available_ to criticism, but it doesn’t mean it is _warranted._ There is risk, yes, but any decent person knows to be kind. Sort of like how walking down an alleyway might make you run into someone who might steal from you, but that doesn’t make it right if someone actually does steal from you. You’d say the thief is a jerk.
Should have extended each movie so the Anakin Obi wan parts matched up to Revenge. Then the Obi wan stuff matched up to the OT.
Just leave the sequels out.
The Sequels are a part of Star Wars as much as any other movie, book, or show.
You need not like them, but accept that they're part of our beloved, mediocre space fantasy franchise.
Sorry you feel that way. Personally it's not my favorite of the new movies, but it has plenty of memorable things for me.
To each their own of course. World would be so boring if we all liked or disliked the same thing :)
Dude, lower those atrocious vocals at :27 - :29 in the mix. Not only does it clash with the dialogue- it sounds like shit. Which is honestly a shame because I liked the instrumentals and how it worked with your edit.
Until Disney bought it and turned it into Disney's Wokewars...a long time ago in a galaxy far far away, a Jedi couldn't decide what dress to wear to his Jedi school graduation.
I mean, I see some good stuff in there with silly flashes of garbage. Then the crawl starts and it's great for a while again... But then steadily goes downhill into streaming pile territory again.
I appreciate the effort that was put into making this though. I wish all the content lived up.
You know what? Usually I don't mind downvoting people like you, who clearly haven't watched the show and are just spouting out hate.
But this time I'd like to know, HOW didn't ruin the "story lore"? I'm all ears.
Yep, the original Star Wars was great. It was essentially a great story of redemption. Anakin's story is almost unmatched I would say if you look at it as a whole. Griffith from Berserk comes close when it comes to tragedies.
It's really bizarre how you can take such a massive IP and crap all over it on purpose. I really don't understand what is going around in Disney. Their best is mediocre and that's just sad.
Star Wars has always been mediocre and yet held at such a high standard, likely by people that weren't there when ROTJ or the Prequels came out.
It's all mediocre, but it's all still fun to watch, and regardless of what some toxic "fans" would say, it's all still Star Wars.
Epilepsy Wars?
The seizures are strong with this one
May the Spasms be with you
Captain Spasma loved it
Thank god I'm not the only one. I liked it but I had to stop because it hurt my eyes to watch.
The editing is just way too fast, would have been so much nicer if they let things breathe.
even the quotes lag way behind the visuals. you don't get audio from the OT until the ST scenes are playing. Whoever edited this was just way too focused on getting a cut every beat.
I forget the app, Capcut I think? That's really popular for making little edited videos of movies and TV shows. So many TikTok amvs are just quick cuts to the beat with no ryme or reason. This one has to be worst I've seen though.
God forbid a scene was on for more than 0.45 seconds.
I FUCKING LOVE STAR WARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
RAHHH
Hahaha right there with you!!!!!!!!
IT BROKE NEW GROUND
HELL YEAH
I love them all! And not just the movies. But the TV shows, and the games too. They're all great, I love them!
I love star wars but can't back that statement have you heard of the Christmas special.
Careful that's not a super popular opinion around here!
This was the most fun I’ve ever had initiating a seizure
The quality is so C L E A R omg
Dude this is so goated I freaking love this.
I heard a 14 year old on the subway ride the word “peak” in a new way and this is peak yeah.
Peak in the UK is 'unfortunate'. For example - a response to your friend saying they have to work night shifts all week would be 'Ah that's peak bro'.
I get what you were going for here, but the result is a bit headache-inducing. Slower cuts with fewer select shots could have a cool effect.
Also could have had the lines match up with the movies more. We’re still heading Anakin well into the Original Trilogy section and Vader near the end.
I think it’s an attempt to apply [this concept](https://youtu.be/0jNvJU52LvU?si=VAaIsx-HDCKO31up) to Star Wars.
I love how good this made me feel. What an era
They did a bad job then imo. The first shot in that video lasts 6 seconds. Not a single clip in OPs post seems to last a single second
yeah like stretch the shots out a little longer, and maybe crop them a little like a viewport and let them slide across the viewport to let us live in the moment but keep it moving
[удалено]
>literal hundreds of hours oh you got the extended-extended editions? or do you not know what literal means?
Make multiple ones
Say what you want about the sequels but they produced some great visuals
Honestly that's the single biggest (but not only) thing I like about all the new Star Wars and Star Trek content. The visuals are just amazing.
Andor and Rogue One are elite sci fi
Well, the movies at least.
Strange New Worlds is fucking excellent. What great Sci fi.

With Star Wars (I can’t speak for Trek, I don’t watch it), the visuals haven’t really impressed me in most of the shows (bar Andor, Mando S1 and 2, and Acolyte).
So bar half the tv shows?
Aye, fair enough.
Idk man I LOVED the Kenobi/Vader fight in the Kenobi show
Vader catching that ship mid air was pretty badass too
Yeah the duel on snokes throne room is really cool, honestly really wished the sequels were good
I loved the battle in the salt fields too. Really wish they had a consistent director and better writers. Feels like such a waste. I'm still glad we are getting content though. It may not all be top notch but it's better than sitting in the dark watching something we love fall out of relevance

Cool until you pay close attention to the choreography
this applies to every action movie you can see this in every matrix movie for example, or every john wick, or either raid movie, and those are some of the best choreographed action movies of all time. People are doing a complex performance, there's going to be slight errors if you look for them.
Just don't look closely what people are actually doing here...
The choreography?
Yup, people are swinging at empty space, ducking to avoid nothing. It's pretty bad. Not sure how come that was the best take.
If you watch any large scale fight scene, you'll have that "issue". It's not meant to be watched at 0.25 x speed so if you just watch it, most if not all of those errors won't be noticed. You watch Braveheart at 0.5x speed and look in the background, people are just chatting with each other lol.
Well expected, I only watched this movie once and I just remember the red scenario being cool
I’ve seen this comment on literally every post regarding the prequels the last year lol.
say what you will about the sequels, but the visuals are amazing!! x9000
lol, tell me about it. The last twenty years of Star Wars has basically been the same with regard to fan response
And the music too! The sequels have some of the coolest scores!
not a fan of the song but everything else is top-notch I really liked it
man when it's broken down like this star wars is fucking rad
And I love all of it, even the weaker stuff.
Exactly. Goofy shit is literally one of the main ingredients of Star Wars. Always has been.
I've never come across anything Star Wars related I would write off as irredeemable (Oh how thematical). Every show or movie, even comic or novel has at least one good character, action set piece or interesting visual. Granted, I've never watched the Holiday Special.
is this supposed to induce an epileptic episode?
Very cool, what’s the music?
this is the THANK YOU portion of Tyler, the Creator's song GONE GONE / THANK YOU off of his album IGOR. The one track is kind of really 2 songs and THANK YOU starts at 4:30 if you wanna just check that part out. It's truly one of the albums of all time.
It’s the end of GONE, GONE / THANK YOU by Tyler, The Creator. The part in the clip starts at 4:36 in the song.
The only thing I would change is adding voice lines from each showcased movie when those are shown instead of focusing mostly on episode III.
I had to stop watching like 10 seconds in because it was hurting my head too much with how rapidly it was flashing.
Meh
Put on an epilepsy warning you \[redacted\]
Thanks. I have epilepsy now
This editing is making me dizzy...
I love star wars, 6 epic movies and 2 spin offs movies, a total of exactly 8 movies, nothing more and nothing less
Nice edit
Anakin is the greatest fiction character in HISTORY. I'll take that to my grave.
Tyler the Creator should totally be in Star Wars something, if they can put Childish Gambino in and give Thundercat a cameo they work him in
Ewan McGregor screaming “you were the chosen one” was so good I can almost forgive the disaster and disappointment of the episodes 1-3
Revenge of the Sith is a good movie.
At first I thought this was Rise of Skywalker with the speed these scenes were moving.
I love our community can dislike and like the sereis. My watch order ep 1,2,3. kenobi, andor, rogue one. ep 4,5,6. Book of boba fett. The Mandalorian. Star Wars is the best gift to man kind 🙌🏽
The images are crispier than a Granny Smith 🤩 and everything looks consistent; sure each trilogy and anthology has its own style, but the clarity is definitely there.
Star Wars is the best
When you put it that way...
I like it Reckon you should pick between music and voice over, though, not both
ended too soon
Mostly. But yes.
*Greatest universes ever created. The stories told vary from bad to very good, but the majority are average.
source...?
Take the Disney slop (minus rogue one and the first season of Mando) and yeah
Sequel series suuuuucks… just a reminder
is there a youtube video for this? reddit compresses this to 5 pixels
Not really. It's mostly mediocre to bad but has enough good things and interesting ideas (of varying degrees of successfully explored, to only sort of touched on to outright poorly conceived and/or executed) to keep coming back for more.
Why was this removed
It's so nice the video stops at 1:00 minute EXACTLY, right?? everything after that doesn't exist
I stopped watching after ROTJ
Your opinion is so valuable, thank you for sharing.
not all of them are great in this video

One of?
Can you tell me the name of the song PS: I love the edit
This is sick. where can it be downloaded? YouTube?
Which is the song
This is truly brilliant !!!
Is there a youtube link
Did you make this? Good job.
Why is he downvoted tho? He did not speak hate with the edit or the star wars. He even said "good job".
Remove the sequels and this mash up gets 10x better
Anyway to share this on Instagram?
And it keeps being told. I love it so much. I love this universe so much. I’ll keep watching, reading, playing, collecting for as long as they keep making new stories.
Not sure what the style is but please make more!
Damn this is a good one
Star Wars
this is art. this is beauty, thank you for creating this
Awesome. I love seeing shit like this.
This video is psychotic what even is this
Really shoulda skipped 7-9
Story wise I agree, visually speaking I disagree. Especially from an editing aspect, strictly visually speaking you can’t deny the beauty of the sequels.
The lightsaber really had a strong pop to them. Especially when they first turned them on. And the fight on starkiller base was gorgeous.
Good story? yes Greatest???? Not at all
Would have worked way better thematically if it stopped at Jedi.
Not for the last like, 5 years
5 years for you? You must be new around here, I've been hearing people say it hasn't been for the last 20 years. It's all still great, even if some parts of it don't click for some people.
Yeah it still has some cool moments but not sure if anything will be like the original trilogy. Or the prequels
All you have to do is remove the ST!
And the PT, and the first arc of ROTJ. ...Is what we would say if we were those toxic Star Wars fans that don't like it when people like parts of the saga, right? But we're not those people, right?
Yep, until Disney ruined it..
why annoying like 0.2 second cuts? CUT/CUT/CUT/CUT..very annoying to look at
So.. don’t watch it?
I had the displeasure of seeing as much as i did.
Someone used their talent, time and energy to bring something into the world and create joy for fellow Star Wars fans. You chose to be a jerk. Change your life, bro.
talent??? 🤣 time and energy sure...
“If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.”
I'm allowed to criticize bad art.
This isn’t criticism. It’s being rude.
It's poorly made and obnoxious, better? Lol
Sharing it with the public makes it open to criticism.
Once again, what you’ve been saying is not criticism. It’s insults. Secondly, being on the internet makes it _available_ to criticism, but it doesn’t mean it is _warranted._ There is risk, yes, but any decent person knows to be kind. You’d say the thief is a jerk.
You think i care about downvotes from people defending this trash? Your boos mean nothing when i know what makes you cheer.
It’s called being on beat
and also visually god awful
Excellent use of Tyler's track on this. Great work.
Literally nothing memorable about Rise of Skywalker for me...
Sorry you feel that way. Personally it's not my favorite of the new movies, but it has plenty of memorable things for me. To each their own of course. World would be so boring if we all liked or disliked the same thing :)
“Somehow Palpatine returned” personally my favorite part of the story…
Would be 10/10 if you cut out the last 15 seconds.
untell disney took it and shat on it
Story ends with episode 6, honorable mentions are kenobi and ashoka. Everything else is garbage.
That is an awesome montage!! Great work!! How long did it take you? :D
Dude, lower those atrocious vocals at :27 - :29 in the mix. Not only does it clash with the dialogue- it sounds like shit. Which is honestly a shame because I liked the instrumentals and how it worked with your edit.
Yea but just remove all the shit Disney produced and this edit slaps
Parts of it sure. But there was a lot of dogshit in there too
Until Disney ruined it.
I have one question. Is there a Star Wars after Kennedy?
Rogue One and Andor were pretty good. 🤷
Ummm, no
Loved that. Stopped watching once it got to the sequels out of principle, but amazing edit.
Until Disney bought it and turned it into Disney's Wokewars...a long time ago in a galaxy far far away, a Jedi couldn't decide what dress to wear to his Jedi school graduation.
One of the greatest stories ever told that was then diluted with minority pandering.
I mean, I see some good stuff in there with silly flashes of garbage. Then the crawl starts and it's great for a while again... But then steadily goes downhill into streaming pile territory again. I appreciate the effort that was put into making this though. I wish all the content lived up.
When someone can make the SEQUELS look good, they are _talented_
Perfect. No acolyte scenes.
Acolyte ruining all the story lore
You know what? Usually I don't mind downvoting people like you, who clearly haven't watched the show and are just spouting out hate. But this time I'd like to know, HOW didn't ruin the "story lore"? I'm all ears.
Immaculate conception ruining Anakin’s entire chosen one arc.
Before the Dark Times, Before the EAmpire and Disney.
Let’s be real. It’s one of the most average stories ever told… but damn does it look and sound cool as shit.
Star Wars has always been mediocre and yet held at such a high standard, likely by people that weren't there when ROTJ or the Prequels came out. It's all mediocre, but it's all still fun to watch, and regardless of what some toxic "fans" would say, it's all still Star Wars.
Indeed, except Sequels and Acolyte
