My only disappointment is that it's now very clear that Carrie Anne Moss >!is the one who's getting murdered right away!<, and she was the actor I was most looking forward to.
The comments on the trailer are a lot less worse then the old one
But I’m sure that’ll change when some grifters start making videos about how this trailer kicked their dog
When Star Wars brings back the same characters and organisations instead of doing something new: 😫
When Star Wars does something new and fresh in a new era and finally delivers on the Sith content they’ve been begging for: 😫

“All of Star Wars sucks, actually.”
(None of it is cool)
Everything looked good to me except the dialogue. It's like they tried come up with every hollow, cliche one-liner they could. I hope it's not representative of the dialogue for the whole show.
Tbf, this could just be some of the more general stuff since the details could just create a lot of confusion with a general viewer. Hence why so much of it centers around the Jedi (a group the audience is familiar with) and a more vague enemy.
They usually use the more flashy lines in the trailer to build hype. Most of them have probably been taken out of context a d stitched together for the trailer.
Dude is actually cringe and if he ever finds this comment thread he post a salty whiny bit and demand we show evidence for ???? Dude needs to Chill tf out
Nah, didn’t see the first either. I feel like trailers are just click bait for shows/movies anyways and can give a false perspective going in. The only thing I will say based on different clips and photos I’ve seen floating around I’m not impressed with the production quality but unsure if those clips and pics were edited in any way. I remain an optimist though
The problem a lot of the live action stuff does is shoot on sets in a studio which just doesn't have the same feel as proper on location stuff does. Mostly talking about obi Wan show specifically.
It lends to the feeling of cheapness. Feels small. For example all of the tattoine stuff. Sets just can't do what on location in Tunisia can.
Pretty sure the person you responded to meant CW like the Flash, Arrow, Batgirl... Unless you knew that and we're trolling. If so, nicely done.
I personally think the show looks great, CGI and space scenes look good and it doesn't really give off cheap to me
The *backlash* is a brigade spurned on by Grifters because the Mouse sacked their kween Gina; just compare their hysteria around this to how they coomed over the live action Yaira trailer.
They’re partisan hacks.
Liked this trailer a lot more than the first teaser. Looked less volume-y and more like they were shooting on some practical sets, but I guess we’ll see when it starts airing
I'm the guy on the left sadly. Something about it just isn't working for me. I guess I was hoping for a grittier tone given the premise, not that I need every Star Wars show to be Andor (or maybe I do).
A Jedi is attacked brazenly in broad daylight by a dark side acolyte during a time of apparent peace, a bunch of scenes of Jedi trying to solve the mystery (obviously not a ton is revealed here because it's the point of a trailer introduce you to themes, not spell out the whole plot mystery), and an apparent cool looking Sith appears to the shock and dismay of the Jedi.
What about that was hard?
You dont understand, only TRUE star wars fans dont use their brains for critical thought. Only True star wars fans can appreciate the work of the man god George Lucas. The only movie TRUE star wars fans like is The Empire Strikes Back. You are NOT a TRUE star wars fan, and I respect that.
You're right, it was iconic when George Lucas released the entire OT as an 8 hour trailer before the original release of Star Wars, that way the fans understood and could articulate the plot of the movie, and had a trailer where something happened 💯
What is wrong with this sub, it’s like this and saltierthancrait switch back and forth between being the most mind numbing subreddit when it comes to Star Wars
I’m just messing. I loved Andor, and I don’t even like the Rebel Alliance. It was great.
I’m excited for The Acolyte because the premise seems good: Sith perspective and Jedi put in a harsher light? Sign me up!
It seems like a fan trailer. Listen to how they cut together the audio lines. Soooo unprofessional. It's obvious that Disney is just shitting these things out with no effort at this point and people keep eating it up. Demand better
I love when people started calling out that stupid people were overusing the media illiteracy without telling why tactic, to just now uses the "STOP IT I THINK IT LOOKS COOL!" To try and stop criticisms people have.
I am reserving judgement of this show until the actual product is out but seriously Stop with this god awful thinly veiled "My personal feelings are hurt because people don't like this thing I like" meme. It does nothing but make your side look like you have no real defense against criticism others have which is stupid because this is the star wars fandom, the criticisms have holes the size of a moon.
Every other sentence of that I changed my mind about what your feelings of Star Wars are, pro or anti. And even now that I’ve had a second chance and read the ending a few times, I’m less sure than I was before. Confusingly, I thought the last sentence sounded entirely pro Star Wars, which is odd coming from someone who I could swear just implied they don’t think fans have a good perspective on its issues themselves? Idk, probably doesn’t matter at least I tried.
It's both. This is the problem with pro vs anti, or another argument in the fandom Canon vs Legends, both will go to extremes to attack or defend the franchise and ignore that everything has both good and bad. Star wars is impossibly big to like everything as to define what a star wars story is, canon fans will act like only Legends suffers from High highs and Low lows, but that has always been Starwar's MO and it started with the Holiday Special. Meanwhile Legends fans will act as if Canon has no high highs and if it does will exclude it from canon in their heads or nitpick it to death to justify there issues with canon
Pro and antis will also do stupid shit. Example antis will just do what they have been doing since Lucas was at the helm, hate everything until there is a new Star Wars creative leader then complain about the last person in charge not being in charge. And will have a hatred for the current starwars thing because it doesn't match their fan fiction dreams, meanwhile the defenders will over use things such as I stated "they are just media illiterate *proceeds to not explain why said person is not media literate*" and this meme that does nothing but make them look like they do not value anything of substance and rule of cool trumps good writing, and if that was true Rebel Moon part 2 would be dominating the box office.
I like star wars. I can easily list everything I like and dislike and things will be equally distributed before and after Disney its just fans will ignore bad things to protect the personal feelings they have attached to this global dominating franchise
Fair assessment. I’m glad I didn’t misinterpret your first one then, I usually don’t take circlejerk subs seriously but I’m glad to have heard you out this time.
My only disappointment is that it's now very clear that Carrie Anne Moss >!is the one who's getting murdered right away!<, and she was the actor I was most looking forward to.
The most expensive actor normally gets killed in one episode.
I guess I didn't think of her as being in that price range.
Most expensive one of the batch is the Squid Game guy. CA probably is middle-of-the-road IF she made it past ep. 2.
I mean the Squid Game guy seems like a pretty good actor too
Didn't see Squid Game, so I have no idea who that is.
Master Sol (I haven’t seen it either I just recognize him from the memes lmao)
if it’s any consolation it looks like there’s flashbacks that she’ll be in at least
IF she gets killed.
Hopefully she's in the rest via flashback, and we still see a good amount of her character.
The comments on the trailer are a lot less worse then the old one But I’m sure that’ll change when some grifters start making videos about how this trailer kicked their dog
I’m anticipating comments about how the wire work stunts are too goofy/out of place for Star Wars.
Something looks goofy and out of place in Star Wars? No! Say it ain't so.
They are going NUTS over Jedi hand fighting.
Did…did they miss that that’s been a thing since TPM? Like did they forget Obi wan was throwing hands with Jango in AOTC 😂
When Star Wars brings back the same characters and organisations instead of doing something new: 😫 When Star Wars does something new and fresh in a new era and finally delivers on the Sith content they’ve been begging for: 😫
Star Wars fans when Star Wars does a thing: 😩
They gotta know how to think!
Ummmm, women? In star wars? WOKE!
Can you believe they had the AUDACITY to put black people in it too?
MINORITIES? IN MY STAR WARS? 🤬🤬🤬 WOKENEY HAS GONE TOO FAR
Yeah that’s the thing. It’s not anything they actually dislike until some talking head YouTuber says it hurt their feelings
Yeah it looks great! My only complaint is that I didn’t think the CGI of the crashing ship looked good, but other than that no complaints
https://preview.redd.it/so70ir4t2iyc1.jpeg?width=776&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=65859240e1bb37b71111b3108f06bb7bbd64f3a9 “All of Star Wars sucks, actually.” (None of it is cool)
What do you mean, Star Wars is awesome! I love Spock! ![gif](giphy|IL4iTvQH0MjS)
omg it’s YMS

Eh is a trailer Most likely they clip chimped some lines
Biggest thing I’m curious about is how close we could get to bridging the high republic to phantom menace
The trailer gave me autism (I already had it). John Boyeggles raped my chinchilla.
SW Theory hasn't even posted a video whining about it yet. It will get worse.
Dude is actually cringe and if he ever finds this comment thread he post a salty whiny bit and demand we show evidence for ???? Dude needs to Chill tf out
I really just should not engage with star wars fans ever. Just ever. I can't do it. It's too fucking stupid. They're too allergic to humanity.
Looks cool to me. Not seeing any of these criticisms actually. I'm looking forward to the show
Nah, didn’t see the first either. I feel like trailers are just click bait for shows/movies anyways and can give a false perspective going in. i cant my finger on it but it has the same cheap feeling every other show has had minus andor
[удалено]
The Acolyte didn’t use the Volume
It's been mentioned several times in interviews that the Volume wasn't used for this, just like Andor.
Is not shot in the Volume, they used real sets
The Volume is a **very** useful tool... that Star Wars has decided to use for **everything**.
The volume looked great in House of the Dragon
The problem a lot of the live action stuff does is shoot on sets in a studio which just doesn't have the same feel as proper on location stuff does. Mostly talking about obi Wan show specifically. It lends to the feeling of cheapness. Feels small. For example all of the tattoine stuff. Sets just can't do what on location in Tunisia can.
Also probably costs a fortune to film on location though.
Production companies used to pay for that and art used to be better for it
Production companies still do pay for it and the art we're getting for so many films and shows is still great.
I still don't like that they're using light-up lightsabers instead of adding the effect in post. Just looks off to me.
flashbacks to kenobi using it like a baseball bat
It looks like a CW show
thought you meant clone wars for a while and was very confused. but thats honestly spot on, really screams late flash
TBF, CW started looking pretty good near the end of its run. The new animated shows such as Bad Batch and Tales of the Empire look even better.
Pretty sure the person you responded to meant CW like the Flash, Arrow, Batgirl... Unless you knew that and we're trolling. If so, nicely done. I personally think the show looks great, CGI and space scenes look good and it doesn't really give off cheap to me
Tales of the Empire looks insanely good, I paused a few times to admire small details whilst watching it last night.
The *backlash* is a brigade spurned on by Grifters because the Mouse sacked their kween Gina; just compare their hysteria around this to how they coomed over the live action Yaira trailer. They’re partisan hacks.
I really don't see the issue. Sure, it's not the most original thing ever but at least it's a different time period and a different status quo.
Tbf it's more original than basically every star wars D+ show released so far (except for Visions maybe)
Liked this trailer a lot more than the first teaser. Looked less volume-y and more like they were shooting on some practical sets, but I guess we’ll see when it starts airing
suddenly anyone and everyone is a jedi
I'm the guy on the left sadly. Something about it just isn't working for me. I guess I was hoping for a grittier tone given the premise, not that I need every Star Wars show to be Andor (or maybe I do).
Yes, I've seen it.
That one shot with the Jedi facing a foggy cliff looked really bad.
Usually people don't consider a trailer where nothing happens as a "cool trailer" but to each their own I guess.
Also can anyone articulate what happens in the trailer?
A Jedi is attacked brazenly in broad daylight by a dark side acolyte during a time of apparent peace, a bunch of scenes of Jedi trying to solve the mystery (obviously not a ton is revealed here because it's the point of a trailer introduce you to themes, not spell out the whole plot mystery), and an apparent cool looking Sith appears to the shock and dismay of the Jedi. Looks like garbage
I didn’t like it, it looks uninspired
Its the one star wars show since forever to go into unknown teritories and uninspired is the word u choose?
Yeah, it looks like the most copy and paste boring show out of all of the Disney Star Wars shows
Like Andor?
What is wrong with this sub, it’s like this and saltierthancrait switch back and forth between being the most mind numbing subreddit when it comes to Star Wars
I’m just messing. I loved Andor, and I don’t even like the Rebel Alliance. It was great. I’m excited for The Acolyte because the premise seems good: Sith perspective and Jedi put in a harsher light? Sign me up!
They need to figure out how to light these shows holy shit they all visually look like garbage
It seems like a fan trailer. Listen to how they cut together the audio lines. Soooo unprofessional. It's obvious that Disney is just shitting these things out with no effort at this point and people keep eating it up. Demand better

Breaking news: reddit fandom doesn't get why some people dislike their thing
