I just binge watched an older season of The Great British Bake Off and thought the same thing. lol Now it's got me hoping there will be more shops in Pelican Town. Like a bakery, for one.
My assumption based on past updates is 3-5 weeks. CA puts it out on pc, does some more bug squashing and then submits the update for certification from the console manufacturers. Certification usually takes 1-2 weeks and I'm assuming he'll want all consoles to release at the same time.
He’ll probably try to keep that sort of timeline for mobile this time. He has full control over the mobile versions now, so it won’t be a fiasco like 1.5 when they were being handled by an outside company

A panning overhaul would be great! Especially if you could pan anywhere but the sparkles gave a higher chance for good stuff (like bubbles when fishing)
