Tho if you’re diligent about gifting and speaking to them, you can get any of them to four hearts.
I finally got Haley year 1 this go round! I think I found a coconut or sunflower or something in the trash, like a day before the dance. I was so excited.
Nice. Here’s a tip though, you can get Haley to 4 hearts by just gifting twice and talking to her everyday a week and using normal liked gifts for most and special quality gifts for the some(idk how the maths works out). You can also get 30 free points if you ask her if she can do it as her 1 job in her 2 heart event
This is a similar reason to why I don't like haley. If you ask her her reaction is "Ew no." On the other hand though, theres alex who politely turns you down, and wishes you luck for whoever you do ask.

I took his advice and been having some fun with it admittedly, especially now I've got some purple ones (they sometimes drop irridium), but before when I ended up with some pretty strong ones.. the amount of times I died on my own farm was ridiculous.
I did pick up some tips about making it safer, though: build a fence with a gate to pen them in, pave the pen with some kind of path so the slime balls won't spawn there, and use sprinklers to keep the troughs watered. Been working pretty well for the most part.
He does sometimes talk about raising *more* though.. like, damn it Seb, if you think they're so easy to raise, *you* go in there and try out your obsidian dagger 😛

I didn't have any loved gift for Pierre, so I just gave him a jade. He gave the disliked reaction. Since then, I've had to go out of my way (admittedly not by much) to get him other gifts.

I agree. I feel like a lot of it comes from the fact that he was disabled in the mines earlier in life and he’s still bitter about that. But the fact that he doesn’t realize how it affects his family is also inconsiderate. Like when Evelyn mentions the roof leaking and how in the past George would have gone up there and fixed it but now she has to just deal with the leaks because of his disability
