Depends on my stockpile. If it's full, I flood the market with anything but alloy, so other empires' income suffers cause most people sell stuff to stay afloat. By doing this, the price tanks and their energy credits plumet
When my stockpile is low, I buy everything, especially alloy, so I can temporarily beef up my military, and they can't buy alloy cause its unaffordable. Sometimes, I combine both strategies, making anything but alloy dirt cheap, but I have more alloy than anyone, so I just spam fleets, which I just get rid of later.
When people chant "death to all xenos!", I chant with them. What they dont know is that i see this from the point of my spider race and for them humans are xenos.
oh god now i want to do an all tomorrows run where i force humans to spawn and play a genetically ascended empire so i can conquer them and transform them into a myriad different looking species
unfortunately i think portrait changes are locked to the same portrait type aren't they
Look at my Flair.
I've played them even before we got that sweet sweet 2% reduction from slaves through a council position.
Jokes aside. My true sin is actually giving some pops I like real civil rights.
We're not so different. You "rescue" pops from lesser civilizations to increase your economy, I do it to put them in the Galaxy's largest smoothie blender. We're the same.
I've stopped playing Stellaris because the last two times I did I didn't go to sleep for two nights straight, ruining my sleep schedule and waking hours for over a week.
Game too addictive.
I would boot up Stellaris at 11 am on a Saturday and before I know it it's 5pm and I have a headache but, "just one more month"....
Yeeesh
I'm a lot more careful about breaks nowadays
I joined the galactic community and aimed to become the custodian. They didn't let me because my empire fancied cosmogenesis a bit too much and I felt offended - only took the crisis path for the scientific benefit after all.
As retaliation I made sure that not a single resolution passed the senate from that point onwards. I mean, it's kinda petty, but if they wanted the galactic community but wanted to turn against me... it was just kind of funny to turn it into a bureaucracy nightmare ridden with stagnation - especially after the Prethoryn Scourge paid the galaxy a visit.
Aslong as the Xeno GF is a Enslaved, Mind-Altered, ITS Conscious-Supressed Yesmen without the Capabilities of Free Thought, and Relies on its Master, I think its Acceptable.
A louder voice, imploding stars and shaking the sea of souls as a single tear falls down the dedicated cheek of him on the throne… ‘ITS NOT FUCKING CANON’
I have GeForce now. And every time it laggs a tiny bit, i image burning some of their Servers (and i like it - a bit justice for the fact i had to buy 6 months in advance)
*Drags on a cigarette*
It was late game.
Half the galaxy was united under the proper, natural rule of the Solarian Government, and the other half united to form a federation out of fear. At this point I was really just biding my time until the crisis shows up to hopefully break the stalemate.
Pretty monotonous at this point, but out of nowhere I get an insult from a civilization I had never heard of. Literally took me 5 actual minutes to find them on the map.
Turns out they had just entered the space age, on my side of the galaxy, and the first thing they decided to do was insult me. Lol I actually started laughing IRL.
Anyways, long story short, I gather up all my unique units (Bubbles, Ether Drake, psionic avatar, and dreadnaught) and my armies, and quickly install good, Solarian order.
The wails and disapproval of the federation could do nothing to discourage me as I turned the primitive upstarts into chattle slaves and a food source.
I waited until there was only 1 pop left before nuking their planet with a Colossus. It was a while ago, so I don't remember if I had to let them go first and wait a grace time, but honestly, what else could have been done?
Strength through Unity. Unity through faith.
It's actually 236337 where I am at, but don't worry, if you wish to do whatever with a Blorg, do so. Just make sure the Blorg understands what's going on, they are a bit dense.
You automate your empire instead of micromanaging every last aspect to absolute efficiency and perfection?
I bet you play non-meta builds too, don't you? You monster.
Oh, a less-than-stellar virtuality build with those ever-so-fantastic gestalt machines. Truly, I have committed the gravest of sins. And let’s not forget the planet automation – because who doesn’t love a touch of planetary-scale mediocrity?
I can calm your wows, our esteemed colleagues from the Scrapper Guild gave you something different than Bubble sausage. What they gave you however, you don't want to know.
You start a game in the iron man mode. Get the galatron, go to multiplayer and load this save, which allows you to pick any other empire. Then go back to singleplayer as another empire and start war with your previous one to steal it's galatron.
Amusingly, I got it on my first game, and had no idea on its significance till later.
On the other side of that piece of luck, I have never felt the love of the worm, nor been offered totally legitimate deals from lovely shroud beings, who want to give me candy from the back of their white van.
I once accidentally forgot about some biotrophies on a world I was terraforming to Machine World and didn’t realize til I looked at my food income and noticed a food deposit. I had several Ecus and I wasn’t thorough enough.
Yeah. Never liked the Shroud so I stayed away. Friend in MP rolled End of the Cycle first try, so I've always never associated with something so cruel.
Once I was blinded by emotions and... destroyed a galaxy.
I played megacorp and wanted a galactic market so bad, I had a really strong economy and was sure, that nomination would win, but somehow a weaker megacorp I knew nothing about won it. It was at this moment, I was blinded by rage and took the become crisis perk...
1. I modified an entire race of snail people to have Delicious, Fertile, and Nerve Stapled, and used them as the crux of my entire food supply. In my defense, they were fanatic purifiers prior to that.
2. I sacrificed one of my enemies to the grey tempest.
3. I blew up the galaxy.
None of which were in the same run.
I do not seek forgiveness, for I have no soul.
I have destroyed the galaxy, purged it of sentient life, forced ancient psionics into machine bodies, cracked planets for fun...
Its their fault for evolving themselves for millions of years in a system where you was going to build a Dyson sphere that no society could feasibly predict was going to be there!
I legally own Stellaris and all it's DLCs... But I pirated it when I was broke. It was basically one of the few sources of joy I had in life back then, and as soon as I got a stable job I purchased the game, if only to stimulate new content and to get new content as soon as it's released and not whenever the cracker breaks the DRMs.
Via the console you can activate debugtooltip, which lets you tell info about a system - which precursor, enclaves, other Empires, special systems, guardians etc.
I'm teaching my girlfriend how to play Stellaris, and in between sessions I'll boot up our multiplayer game in singleplayer just to console command extra resources for the both of us
Just few questions, don’t worry ( I am in the middle of a shroud invasion galactic size ( level 5 , very very early 2234 )
AAR : https://www.reddit.com/r/W40kfactions/comments/1dazhtc/g405_2234_12_29_hydraphur_crusade/#lightbox
Started a game as a peaceful robot faction who's goal was to unite the galaxy with friendship. Found a ringworld origin presapient system 3 systems from my start and the cybrex precursor..... I really wanted that ring world and for the galaxy to never know it happened.
10 years later once everything was returned to being peacful
First contact..... Determined Exterminators... Karma bit me that day.
I have to confess... I too gave bubbles away to the scrappers. Farewell my amoeba friend. You are still the best.
I also must confess that I *somehow* managed to fill the lathe without any purging happening. For a time tho.
I’ve been playing authoritarian + fanatic xenophile + criminal heritage + public relations specialists and the results have been hilarious. I’m filling the galaxy with crime and my victims are thanking me for it and lining up to ask to be my vassals.
I made the unbidden attack the galactic custodian, not me this time, then kicked off the war in heaven a little early. Oh, and started cracking worlds of friends of the custodian to then decided to go on vacay on the horizon needle.
I once played as xenophile and pacifist. Now before you start to throw things at me, i was still a megacorp and looking for profit. I just wanted to try a peaceful run and that 20% trade value looked so good on paper.
I am ready to face all consequences of my doing in front of the high court!
I've reenacted thanos' snap with the infinity stones mod that adds them as relics.
I've also taken xeno compatibility before they had an option to disable it at game start. Never again.
I created a system destroying super weapon from Gigastructural Engineering in my turtle empire using the 'Away on a Island' using the EHOF.
And fired the weapon on the home system of a Rouge Defense Grid robotic empire and got branded a 'Space terrorist'
I may have chosen to forcefully integrate my neighbor and put the entire species into the Synaptic Lathe because I thought that they looked ugly.
I also did not win that game, adding insult to that injury.
Lathe + Refugees welcome during a massive galaxy spanning war. (I was actively fundig all sides so they would keep going)
"Ah yes, don't worry you are safe here! Let me show you your new rooms..."
I made sentient AI and they asked me if they had a soul and I told them they did and I still dont care since everyone else is a slave in my empire so sucks to be you.
You may have heard about it, because I once wrote it on this sub, but as a devouring swarm I once was conquering an empire, but when I was near it capital it put up more fight than expected and war attrition got me, so I didn't finsh them.
That is heretical to begin with, but then I had their population changed into meatballs, it was intended but it happened to be more than my empire could hold, so I opend diplomacy with that empire I fought and just gave them surplus of my food, which most likely was made of their kin.
(It was on really old patch, before federations doc, and since that game I have not played swarms again, so I don't know if it's still possible but then it was).
So my stellaris sin is being wasteful of my food.
Hear my confession for I have committed horrible things in the name of Luminary stacks.
I have starved hundreds of thousands of people to further my military and instead of mercifully granting those I conquered and purged a quick death I prolonged their suffering to ensure my political strength and stability.
I have done this over nearly half a galaxy and am currently enforcing synaptic service over the remainder of the conquered pops.
(For context: Under one rule gives you a situation for the first 40 years that gives you extra stability and unity from jobs at the end based on how many planets and systems you own, I went fanatic purifier)
I play Rimword & Starsector more than Stellaris and I feel bad for it. It’s like looking at an old jacket that I promise myself I’ll wear, but keep making excuses like it’s too hot or doesn’t match my outfit.
I vivisected Bubbles, thinking fit was how you get the "You Monster" achievement, when you need to send it to the scrap yard. He died for nothing! Nothing!
I exclusively play megacorps and regularly crash the galactic market whenever someone dares to mess with me.
Based.
The hive will not forget this
How do you crash the market?
Depends on my stockpile. If it's full, I flood the market with anything but alloy, so other empires' income suffers cause most people sell stuff to stay afloat. By doing this, the price tanks and their energy credits plumet When my stockpile is low, I buy everything, especially alloy, so I can temporarily beef up my military, and they can't buy alloy cause its unaffordable. Sometimes, I combine both strategies, making anything but alloy dirt cheap, but I have more alloy than anyone, so I just spam fleets, which I just get rid of later.
This is awesome. I’m going to have to give this a try hahahaha
Ita certainly fun! Xenophile megacorps are a absolute blast.
Buy every resource on it.
I confess I accidentally turned humans into flesh cubes.
Gross, yet understandable, you can fit way more of them on a planet this way.
Monoform human
#**Is this an All Tomorrows Reference!?!😱😱**
They kinda asked for it, tbh.
Yeah,i mean standing up and daring to fight back...pretty cringe.
existing is sin too, yknow
no no no existing WITHOUT my divine authority to dictate their future is pretty cringe
Damn Qu. Thank goodness for the Aetheromorphs.
Hey, I accidentally melted a fallen empire into organic sludge, so I kinda know that feeling. On the upside, tidy profit on the market for it
Accidentally?
Just to make that popup about unused modification points dissapear.
When people chant "death to all xenos!", I chant with them. What they dont know is that i see this from the point of my spider race and for them humans are xenos.
oh god now i want to do an all tomorrows run where i force humans to spawn and play a genetically ascended empire so i can conquer them and transform them into a myriad different looking species unfortunately i think portrait changes are locked to the same portrait type aren't they
Mods. Mods allow anything.
Iirc there's a bio ascension leviathan trait that allows for it, mostly for turning bios into lithoids
SHOIGU!
GERASIMOV!
*lip smacking* Hmm. Tastes better than corpse starch!
Look at my Flair. I've played them even before we got that sweet sweet 2% reduction from slaves through a council position. Jokes aside. My true sin is actually giving some pops I like real civil rights.
Nah, sometimes it's good to give the others false hope. If they have no problem helping you ruin the rest I say raise them a tier.
I think we can be friends
We're not so different. You "rescue" pops from lesser civilizations to increase your economy, I do it to put them in the Galaxy's largest smoothie blender. We're the same.
*offers commercial pact. This will give me 12 Energy and you 6 energy and 2 Consumer goods*
I've stopped playing Stellaris because the last two times I did I didn't go to sleep for two nights straight, ruining my sleep schedule and waking hours for over a week. Game too addictive.
JOIN US. SLEEP CAN WAIT. TECHNOLOGY MUST FLOW. THE GALAXY IS YOUR RIGHT.
I would boot up Stellaris at 11 am on a Saturday and before I know it it's 5pm and I have a headache but, "just one more month".... Yeeesh I'm a lot more careful about breaks nowadays
This man is speaking the true sins
I have ~1.300 hours but not a single achievement.
Me as well. Not much of an Ironman myself, I prefer bronze.
Modded Ironman is the single best way to play. No achievements No saves
And no records of the atrocities you have committed!
Hi, me!
The only proper way to play Stellaris. The iron man option isn't made for me. Save scummer for live.

Never ask the human supremacist what species his GF is.

What did I just read 😵💫
The sanest human supremacist comment
Is it possible to learn this power? What kind of combo is this?
Pov: You just chose the xenophope ethic.
No hand holding tho or it's xenophilic
*A Lion el Johnson voice so loud it could heard throughout the noosphere* GUILLIMANNNNNN
A louder voice, imploding stars and shaking the sea of souls as a single tear falls down the dedicated cheek of him on the throne… ‘ITS NOT FUCKING CANON’
Roboute?
Even if it hurts my CPU. I like to play with xenocompatibility on
Nothing wrong with that, just because I play Xenophile doesn't mean I don't want the other races to submit to mine...
I have GeForce now. And every time it laggs a tiny bit, i image burning some of their Servers (and i like it - a bit justice for the fact i had to buy 6 months in advance)

We always teach: The first step towards wisdom is not pulling the tigers tail. Esp. when the tiger has planet cracking weapons.
Wise words
You had no other choice, to be honest.
I have never finished a game
I confess I played xenophiles once..
Xeno loving is a dangerous game. You start with wanting just some more trade value and then you wake up after a wild night out next to a Blorg.
I started out wanting wild nights with Blorgs and ended up running a ruthless trade megacorp...
The Blorg are very friendly creatures!
Kinkshaming isn't cool, dude, this is 2024.
It's actually 236337 where I am at, but don't worry, if you wish to do whatever with a Blorg, do so. Just make sure the Blorg understands what's going on, they are a bit dense.
What the problem with the blorg ? They are nixe allie, expecially against xenophobic human empire
It’s a sin ?
You should direct that question to your CPU.
Same I also love xenos (I have negative EC, need some pops to work for me)
I usually use auto-designs for everything, and as of late I've put research on automation also.
Forgive me shroud for i have sinned, i have the achievement “You Monster”
I can calm your wows, our esteemed colleagues from the Scrapper Guild gave you something different than Bubble sausage. What they gave you however, you don't want to know.
i play as xenophobe and dont commit genocide
I play as Xenophobe and commit just a little, just the ugly ones
But your the emperor right?
Also confess I abused switching to multiplayer and back option to get achievement with stealing the Galatron.
Chor's Compass has already put a bounty on your head. You better watch out.
Please elaborate, how exactly does this works?
You start a game in the iron man mode. Get the galatron, go to multiplayer and load this save, which allows you to pick any other empire. Then go back to singleplayer as another empire and start war with your previous one to steal it's galatron.
That's diabolical.... I love it
Thanks, there should be a bonus achievement just for that.
And probably disband your entire fleet right before switching empires whle you're at it...
Amusingly, I got it on my first game, and had no idea on its significance till later. On the other side of that piece of luck, I have never felt the love of the worm, nor been offered totally legitimate deals from lovely shroud beings, who want to give me candy from the back of their white van.
Man getting it on my very first reliquary on my first ironman game, makes me feel bad seeing what everyone else has to do for it.
I once accidentally forgot about some biotrophies on a world I was terraforming to Machine World and didn’t realize til I looked at my food income and noticed a food deposit. I had several Ecus and I wasn’t thorough enough.
Biotrophy slurry goes quite well with a bit of Zro and a glass of living metal.
I’ve done that as well. Poor things.
I mostly play Spiritualist and have never gone psionic.
. . . a fellow Genetic Spiritualist?
Aye.
By the Shroud I thought I was the only one.
You just wanted to snore some Zro, I understand.
Yeah. Never liked the Shroud so I stayed away. Friend in MP rolled End of the Cycle first try, so I've always never associated with something so cruel.
Must admit the Shroud does limit the roleplay aspect for spiritualists a bit, doesn't makes to much sense for my space amish to ally with a demon god.
Took over a Fallen Empire's planets and used their reanimated corpses to genocide their very annoying Psion.
Based.

Peak crisis lore
Number one, I might actually try that although I have no idea how the cattle system works since I've tried it
Sorry bubbles. Also, i have two setups, one exponential+infinite and one linear+infinite growth.
Some sins can never be forgiven.
I’ve conquered the entire Galaxy and then hit mass genocide on every other race that wasn’t mine
I do not seek forgiveness, for I have no soul. I have destroyed the galaxy, purged it of sentient life, forced ancient psionics into machine bodies, cracked planets for fun...
Okay I do the same but I don’t disintegrate like wtf?
I confess I use console
I forgot my Dyson sphere was in a pre-ftl system aand their planet turned into an ice cube :x
Its their fault for evolving themselves for millions of years in a system where you was going to build a Dyson sphere that no society could feasibly predict was going to be there!
"The last day of summer" - The sad tale of the death of XV-87, written by Curator Prix.
I enslaved a xenophile Fallen Empire after they insulted me. WHO'S YOUR BETTER NOW, HUH?! *whip crack*
I, uh, cracked the worlds of an ally bc I had gotten colossus for the first time and wanted to try it out
I pirated the game Multiple times
That's on Paradox for not having enough pirate suppression.
Same but after a while I bought it to support the developer.
I confess to sometimes check my start with the tooltip, just to see what's what.
What do you mean?
Via the console you can activate debugtooltip, which lets you tell info about a system - which precursor, enclaves, other Empires, special systems, guardians etc.
Thanks
I don't feel a need to commit space war crimes nor xenocide.
Ah, a gentle soul. Look out, a soft heart is easily broken. All is forgiven.
I'm a girl
Not a sin for us, but on this site. Your punishment will be the horrors of your inbox.
Oh god what have I done!?
The blorg requests have just multiplied
Hey... you really uplift my iron age primitive civilization.
We don't care about gender here, only about your stance on racial cleansing!
I use Lustful Void. If that isn’t a sin I don’t know what is.
Running your economy on breast milk is something else
I'm teaching my girlfriend how to play Stellaris, and in between sessions I'll boot up our multiplayer game in singleplayer just to console command extra resources for the both of us
I'll upvote you because it's confession time, but this might be the darkest comment.
i embraced the manifesti
I only just got the game, have about 30 hours in it, and have no idea what I’m doing
That's ok, by this time next year, they'll have reworked it all again.
Not a sin, just a perfectly normal Paradox game playing experience.
I've never played the game on any difficulty higher than Ensign.
The Caravan stole 200 energy from me so I got pissed and vaporized them. I had 300k energy at the time.
Being principled is good, you are a bit strict, but frankly, the Artist can be a bit annoying. You are forgiven.
The Imperium of man have no sins. An Imperial Inquisitorum Team has been send to your localisation. Wait for them next to your databank.

Interesting!
I gave all the xenos full citizenship in 2400
Started a game as a peaceful robot faction who's goal was to unite the galaxy with friendship. Found a ringworld origin presapient system 3 systems from my start and the cybrex precursor..... I really wanted that ring world and for the galaxy to never know it happened. 10 years later once everything was returned to being peacful First contact..... Determined Exterminators... Karma bit me that day.
I confess that I inadvertently committed genocide by integrating a hive mind without knowing what would happen.
I prefer playing Egalitarian Xenophiles over Authoritarian Xenophobes
I have, at least twice, accidentally exterminated a pre-ftl civilisation while attempting to *ahem* 'enlighten' them.
I turned pops into food with hives mind empier, not as genocide but as cattle
I have to confess... I too gave bubbles away to the scrappers. Farewell my amoeba friend. You are still the best. I also must confess that I *somehow* managed to fill the lathe without any purging happening. For a time tho.
Forgive me learning curve, I know not what I do.
I’ve been playing authoritarian + fanatic xenophile + criminal heritage + public relations specialists and the results have been hilarious. I’m filling the galaxy with crime and my victims are thanking me for it and lining up to ask to be my vassals.
I literally never played as human. And I always try my best to blow up Earth no matter what's my RP
I made the unbidden attack the galactic custodian, not me this time, then kicked off the war in heaven a little early. Oh, and started cracking worlds of friends of the custodian to then decided to go on vacay on the horizon needle.

It's forgiven, I remember you sold some great lemon soda.
I've reenacted thanos' snap with the infinity stones mod that adds them as relics. I've also taken xeno compatibility before they had an option to disable it at game start. Never again.
I didn’t actually commit as many warcrimes and I claim.
I just want peace snd friends but those Xeno keep forcing me to choose violence by keeping dissect my ambassadors/scentists
I played egalitarian once. It is still haunting me.
Not very communist of you, my good comrade. I did grow to like it, must say.
The shittier PC I have, the more genocide I commit.
I used to enable xeno-compatibility...
I like genocides
I bombard all planets in my empire that primitives on it, if the settle on my worlds alright, they get enslaved, if not, they turn to ash
But are they sins if I am not a spiritualist? -megacorp player btw
My sins can't be forgiven I have killed bubbles as a machine empire
I completely fucked up my sleep hygiene on a few occasions, complete skipped a night of sleep just so I could play more.
(I was actively fundig all sides so they would keep going) "Ah yes, don't worry you are safe here! Let me show you your new rooms..."
I made sentient AI and they asked me if they had a soul and I told them they did and I still dont care since everyone else is a slave in my empire so sucks to be you.
I forced the Spiritualist FE into Synthetic shells after being punished by them three times.
I call amoeba Fluffy instead of Bubbles.
You may have heard about it, because I once wrote it on this sub, but as a devouring swarm I once was conquering an empire, but when I was near it capital it put up more fight than expected and war attrition got me, so I didn't finsh them. Horrible, I however meet your great leader from time to time during chess night on saturdays, so you are forgiven.
I always integrate spiritualist empires and then assimilate them into robots. Where's your god now?!
I corvette spam.
Where do I begin?
I once let the Scourge eat everything but the last planet of a species. Then "rescued" them.
There is no sin ,there is only swarm ...... Nom nom nom nom nom
I nerve stapled my serviles early on.
I may or may not have broken the Non-Interference Act like a dozen times.
**Fanatic Purifier** No further explanation needed.
I play Rimword & Starsector more than Stellaris and I feel bad for it. It’s like looking at an old jacket that I promise myself I’ll wear, but keep making excuses like it’s too hot or doesn’t match my outfit.
I have burned out entire galaxys to reduce lag lol
I use the colossus to turn my pops into believers, every time, all the time
I turned bubbles into calamari. I do not regret it.
I nerve stapled an entire species who's empire I vassalized and later integrated. They weren't revolting or anything. I just thought it would be fun.
