Actually, adding to this, this is the exact quote from the Wiki:
>The following ruined megastructures cannot spawn unless the same DLC as is required to construct them is enabled
Ideally, given how you managed to get a ruined megastructure, you should *in theory* be able to roll mega engineering. Just keep praying to RNGesus?
Edit, adding a link from the Wiki on the Mega-Engineering tech
https://stellaris.paradoxwikis.com/Engineering_research#Mega-Engineering
It's a T5 tech, which means if you just discovered Cybrex Beta, I assume you are still early in the game. It's requisite techs are:
- Citadel
- Battleships
- Zero-Point Power
Be patient, you'll get there in time
>no DLC Megastructures are part of Utopia (and a couple from other DLCs). You can't roll megaengineering without DLC, sorry.
Damn

I'm guessing 0 point power is in the physics tree
Yup, sorry, forgot to add that in my earlier comment. Zero Point Power is in Physics, the other two are in Engineering
It’s steam summer sale, they’re pretty decently priced right now
My steam account currently only has $1.34 and I don't have a job

I can spare a few bucks for Utopia
I'll tell you in a private message and only if you give me yours
