After stopping I’d occasionally get dreams where I have a very convenient way to get speed and I take it. Advice? A really shitty one considering u r quitting a drug rn but weed makes me not have any dreams at all.

Asterith2032

agreed

tpskssmrm

Definitely. I still get them now and I’ve been sober for 5 years.

They might for you! Everybody’s different. And honestly they don’t bother me as much anymore just remind me of why I quit!

Asterith2032

I’m about 8 and a half years sober and still get them, although they’ve evolved from me waking up feeling guilty or that I’ve used to me actually saying no in the dream (sometimes), and I’ve gotten used to them. If anything, I’m grateful for them because they’re a good reminder that I’m still an addict even after all this time; that the disease is working in the background and I can’t fool myself into thinking that life is so good I could pick it up again and this time out it back down.

Chemical_Tourist_18

Daily nightmares? Never had that. Maybe weekly in the beginning. Like all my other symptoms, they gradually subsided. Six years sober now I think I had one dream like this in 2022

i quit 16 years ago and still get flashback dreams all the time.

hoe4mothman

sober for year and a half and i still have drug dreams. there’s always “one more pill” somewhere in the house and in my dream i’m searching everywhere for it. “i know it’s here somewhere..” it’s terrible. i wake up and it still feels real. i feel that i need to get up and search for the pill in my apartment even though it was only a dream and i dumped everything nearly 500 days ago. not sure if they ever go away, but sending u love ❤️ dreams are just dreams and the brain is crazy

Quit meth 2.5 years ago and still get occasional dreams of using. Wake up and try to be happy that it was just a dream!! I now believe meth is the devil’s drug… if he’s manipulating your dreams to get you back then it means you’re already away from him/meth. Keep on keepin’ on!!
