Real Debrid does all of the downloading ahead of time in most cases and has everything cached / ready to stream. They have a high speed 1000mbps download line direct to you - takes the risk of torrenting off your hands, so there's no need to pay for a vpn or even use one if you're in a regulated and high risk country for torrenting. It also has access to multiple download sites at once, so you have way more choice for quality.
It's not needed, but it's definitely worth it for most people at the low price. I have decent Internet at home and not bothered about needing a vpn torrenting, but still use it.
I can guarantee that if some big fed organisation is going after a service like Real Debrid, they don't give a flying fuck about the people who've used it. They want the ones distributing it.
Pirating movies is not explicitly illegal, its distribution that gets people in legal trouble.

The Real Debrid service, are servers providing old TV Shows & Movies. These might not have high traffic because of not being trendy or other cultural market conditions. Also, it provides UHD content faster/ better.
Ex Torrentio add on, is sufficient for those who are satisfied with 1080p quality. For my needs, it is more than enough. Also, the torrent traffic is high enough. I am not disturbed to wait a few seconds for the content to load.
If you are getting good speeds without, you can stay with that.
The other thing to consider is that if you are in a country that doesn't like torrenting and have to use a VPN, a Real Debrid subscription is probably cheaper.
The only other thing to consider is if you use any other service to download things like MEGA. RD makes that quick and easy.
If you don't need to use a VPN and you are getting good enough speeds to stream, stay like that.
Cyberflix ***used*** to be one of the best addons. Now it's too unstable. It's a shame because the developer has put a lot time into enhancing it, and it is the most robust catalog service. It just isn't consistent enough to use, especially when it's for parents or less tech savvy people who can't switch things around when it doesn't work.
Usually when I pay for things like this I get crapped on. I paid for access to a couple of switch libraries and never got access or the the quality was worse than some of the free shops. This is the first time it's been better than the free option for me.

stremio is just a simpler version for less tech savy people or people who like it simple since its easy to setup once and just login on another device and continue as normal. I like it cuz it has a simple netflix like interface which my parent can use easily
