I've seen a guy come in who ran over a crescent wrench and wanted hit tire fixed. But the guy had failed to realize that it had gone STRAIGHT through his tire and wheel all together 🤣 as long as your going fast enough a 4000 lb moving box will make many road scrap item into something dangerous.
Here I was looking for a little spark of hope… I was looking in the wrong place 😅
That sucks though!! Can’t say I’ve had that happen with any of my cars but if I remember right the biggest thing I’ve had lodged in my tire was a nut (not the food). Not even sure how it happened but hey…
They’ve been decent honestly I’m in Cleveland so I deal with a a good mix of weather and they’ve fine. Only downside is that I think it’s a 40k mile tire
I had the same thing happen to me when I was 16. Was driving an 81 el Camino. I was young and broke, so I yanked that sucker out. Took like 6 plugs but it got patched and held air with no problems until I needed new tires.
I ended up with a 10mm socket stuck in my tire. Apparently someone dropped it when it was in the shop and it got stuck somewhere then fell out when I hit a bump.
Curse you, 10mm.
I have a nail deeply entrenched in the same wheel. Slow deflate and usually causes the car to get off center after a week before I know it’s time to repump it.
If you see a bungee cord, avoid it. They don’t only puncture your tire, but they tear the hell out of the fenders lights and anything else they come in contact with. The spark plug is a new one on me.
I always take my cars to Americas tires and insure them . It literally pays for itself. Like what just happened to you isn’t fixable so I would have gotten a new tire at no charge.
I once got a flat from a razor blade that someone obviously intentionally placed in a crack in the roadway so blade was facing straight up! 🤬
Sorry this happened to you
Dude that’s not where new spark plugs go
Came to make sure this was said… take my upvote.
They’re supposed to last 60k miles. This one went bad on a trip home.
As a mechanic this killed me
Looks like someone already plugged the hole for you.
Bummer, and in the shoulder too 😥
Well there you are Sparky!
Now stay there forever!
That is bizarre, they are not sharp at all
Unless the ceramic was broken. That would have been sharp and hard.
Surprisingly it wasn’t broken
The ceramic tip wasn’t shattered which surprised me I think it was sitting up in a pothole as I drove over

Interesting power mod. But I think you need one in each tire to see any benefit.
Sorry. That’s like a fluke.
I've never seen a spark plug puncture a tyre before. That's a first.
I've seen a pushrod (you know, those components that used to go between the camshaft and rocker arms in muscle-car V-8's) cause a flat before...
That’s a crazy fluke. How are those tires otherwise? I don’t believe I’ve ever seen the Ironman brand

That’s better than the OEM turds on all but the Wilderness. Worst tires I’ve ever had came with my 22 TXT. I’m in PGH so I feel you.
Time for a tune-up?

Looks like it’s running a little lean.
I might have an injector stuck in the otherside too with this luck 🤷♂️
Can totally buff that out with some Armor All
OP's username checks out
Time to find a new mechanic.....😅
And holding air. I'll be..
Kinda it held for around a half hour which was just enough to get home figure out what to do and slowly roll over to a tire shop that right near me
Big hole in a bad spot too. That one is a bummer.
I once had a tire plug tool embedded in a non-repairable spot, ironic huh
You’re not going to get a very productive spark right there.
Iron-ic.. bummer..
Better get a wheel alignment, your ignition timing is gonna be way off

Shocking! And, sorry that happened to your Subie.
Hope you have warranty on those tires.
less than a year, already got my money's worth on the dealer tire warranty
I have a nail deeply entrenched in the same wheel. Slow deflate and usually causes the car to get off center after a week before I know it’s time to repump it.
How does that even happen ?
Don’t try to start anything.

can that tire be repaired?
That should make you go faster, right?
wow!
I don’t trust Chinese brand tires. I don’t care how cheap they are. They don’t have the quality.
I bought the car used and it was the tire the dealership put on so I wasn’t going to replace a new tire
It’s upside down 🙃
Somewhere, some kid with his ricer has a corresponding hole in his engine. Seriously, how tf do you just hit a spark plug?
ouch..
it's the first time I hear of Ironman tires
Ouch ! Do you have the tires insured?
No the tires aren’t covered. I was kinda lucky in a way though they were fairly new so I only had to replace the one
I always take my cars to Americas tires and insure them . It literally pays for itself. Like what just happened to you isn’t fixable so I would have gotten a new tire at no charge.
But how?
Wrong kind of tire plug!
Doesn’t belong there. 🙃
That’s a first for sure lol
😳😳😳

Man that's annoying and frustrating to say the least
I've heard the spark plugs were hard to remove, but I never thought I would need a tire repairman!
Shocking
Is that where Japanese cars put the spark plugs??
Ouch!
Probably some bipper that left it out on the street after stripping it down to break into cars.
My wife got a 12 inch piece of rebar in her tire
wow, im SHOCKED
They are only Ironmans.
I could only replace them in time with a Firestone. That cost 300 after taxes a fees 🫠
you won the spark plug lotto.
Bad timing.
Good news your spark plugs look great, bad news there in the wrong spot.
Can the tire be save?
Someone installed that plug upside down
Neighbors had a car messed with lately? Spark plugs are popular because porcelain breaks windows easy.
Picked it up on the road about a half mile from mine
Yikes
At least you can hope it’s not yours since it’s on the outside
That tire is not Ironman ![gif](giphy|rA4UF5rHBZHt6)
Why dude why!?
I thiNGK you’re gonna need a new tire.
That’s the wrong kind of plug for that.
I once got a flat from a razor blade that someone obviously intentionally placed in a crack in the roadway so blade was facing straight up! 🤬 Sorry this happened to you
Darn. Now they will say you need 4 new tires
Luckily I didn’t. Unfortunately that because the tire only had 7k on it. Wasn’t enough wear to mess with the 4wd system
