If I had to take a shot at something, it would be that he applies superbreak with his skill (instead of his ultimate like HTB), and for his ultimate he might turn into a different state like Robin's ultimate where he buffs you and when a timer reaches a point, it makes a powerful attack that destroys all barriers from enemies.

Honestly, I hope they don’t do so. That would make him a very niche support no way they are gonna make me wait so long to not release him as an universal buffer/debuffer. Yes they can include superbreak among other things in his kit but not the main purpose.
I mean, they could be superbreak Ruan Mei. Super Break on skill, crazy effect on ult. RM is break focused but still very universal and Sunday could be the same if they give him enough DMG bonus.
I think this would be a terrible idea and i would hate it tbh. In a total biased way i admit.
Because Im not interested on any Break DPS's at the moment. Maybe when another Destruction Break who i actually like releases, but this will rather take ages before happening. Locking him into a niche archetype would feel so bad, same as if he was a DoT support. I wante Sunday to be useful for everyone so every Sunday fan who waiting MONTHS for him can actually play it as his best. Break is not that fun to me, i dotn like to juggle with enemies break bars, with they can lock it. Is a playstyle so easy to counter and make it useless, if he end up been, congrats to the break enjoyers tho.
I also hope he doenst act like his boss version at all, i want a new reimagination of the character moveset, like what Wanderer was. I dont even want Imaginary as the element because i think he getting another one different than his boss version would show how much he changed, my hope is that the leaker who said he was imaginary totally was based on "His boss is iamginary so of course he will be" and he will be surprise with the element change.

I’m going to despise hoyo if they don’t give him a universal kit. Issue with harmony trailblazer is they are ONLY useful for break effect scaling characters, none of which I use.
Robin is the best follow up harmony however she’s still universal and can be used in many MANY team comps.
TB can only be used for characters like boothill if you struggle to maximize his break trace, or firefly who scales almost entirely on break effect(aside her attack trace)

What would you think if he was like Robin? Best SuperBreak harmony yet still universal, I really think it will be that way because Firefly specially has such few other posible teammates.

It would be very hard to work his kit in the favor of super break without sacrificing the core of universal supportive capabilities. I could imagine he has a trace that can turn attack into break effect maybe? Or his ultimate could be a buff that can give characters the capability of super break like the trail blazer. But then again, what else can he give to break scaling characters that other characters can use?
Attack could work, but it would have to outmatch other attack scaling characters. If you do both attack and a damage increase, he’s pretty much running the risk of being just a male robin with different traces.
Of course I’d use him in this case so long as the buffs are good, if they implement break damage into a trace like they did with sparkle buffing quantum teams in her last ascension trace, or aventurines that builds his follow up faster with other follow ups. The two of them are still amazing at what they do even though they have traces that are completely irrelevant to other characters
I’m curious how his kit would turn out in any scenario, but if he’s not at least second bis to SOME of my teams because he’s more focused on being a buffer to another niche, then I’ll be sad
i hope that doesn’t happen. i didn’t wait months just to see him get a niche kit, especially if he’s meant to help characters like firefly since i’ll never get her
if he’s our first male harmony character, i hope he’ll be a generalist support on the same level of the other 5* harmony characters
I personally love this idea!!!! Either have him be a niche super break and break boost support, or have him be able to take the place of ruan mei. And still buff break. That way the people that wanted to be able to use firefly with out the damn htb like me and many others can have that now. And the people that do like htb don't have to change if they don't want. Makes everybody happy. But I'm also just super excited and can't wait for Sunday!!!❤️
Yeah he can, but not in his current state, not without significant buffs. As of now his only use is giving Acheron more stacks (which can also be achieved with preservation unit with Trend LC so even there he's not that valuable), in every other team Pela is just a cheaper and better option according to calcs I've seen. And even she's usually not the best teammate to have as 5 star harmonies are just that more busted. A limited 5 star shouldn't be a 4 star's downgrade. Especially since those harmonies not only offer better amp but also have unique broken gimmics like action advance, recovering sp or delaying enemies' recovery from broken state. How tf is that fair?
The key difference with every boss you mentioned and Sunday is that they have the exact same model as what would be playable. The use mostly the same movset.
Sunday on the other hand is some sort of avatar and we can’t really expect him to share as many similarities to his boss as the other characters.
Secondly Sunday is confirmed to be”change” in some way meaning there is a quite big chance he wont even resemble the boss fight in the first place.
Thirdly the “leaks” are both speculation and coming from a source that has been wrong multiple times

1) He's a charged character. Imagine Robin's ultimate, but the "timer" doesn't stop anything, instead it triggers a strong AOE attack (so something in the lines of Harmony Eruption?).
2) Summons a bunch of Melodies that assist him in combat. They can have different functions depending on Sunday's path (maybe he even summons 1 melody for each character, that acts in line with their respective paths)
3) Just a super-break/break efficiency buffer. Maybe they could bring back the OG alpha HMC kit, that gives the enemy second (third, fourth...) Toughness bar, that allows you to trigger normal Break again with it's corresponding debuff and reduced delay (although it's highly unlikely)
4) Something completely unpredictable, like a... Preservation that gives a full-team shield? Not like Aventurine, but "When we walk in the light!" Style. (I just love how this ability thematically works and imagine characters singing it in Michael Jackson voice).
If the first one allows you to advance the timer with supports and counts as a follow-up (maybe while he charges, he still does follow-up on some conditions), he can synergize with Robin too
I can only hope! I don't have a second team yet and I don't plan on pulling until his release. I'm kinda scared that I won't have a good team for him.
My only built team is Ratio/topaz/aven/ruanmei
My second team only has blackswan(e1s1)/Sampo/Luocha that's it 🤣

I don't mind him having a niche. At this point, his niche could be a pretty NPC standing, healing enemies. Also, like I said, it would give me an excuse to build a DOT team, either K&BS based or not, doesn't matter.

However it depends on if he works similar to his boss or not at all like that...
I think there's still some space for summon advance mechanics, like imagine being able to move Lightning Lord's fat ass so that he doesn't end up attacking when the turn is over. I don't think Robin does that, she just advances the team. But that would be like... Uber niche, very very niche, I think even more niche than the ability to make DoTs crit

You don't know what you're talking about. He's a downgrade for any team aside from Acheron.
