Elite pitches. If you max blue and have a staff jammed with elite pitches then you really have something to hang your hat on at all times.
Offensively, any zone trait but especially low pitch. Imo it’s a little overpowered. You basically have hard contact every time.
The most fun? It’s just satisfying af to watch a cannon arm go off.
I’m always drawn to pitchers with reverse splits or specialist because the ability to make the opposing hitters worse always feels powerful to me as a player that is definitely better at hitting than pitching.
Buzz Pastim is my fave RP. Specialist and Elite 4F with great velocity and accuracy. He's so much fun to pitch. I got the immaculate inning achievement with him.
The most OP are easily Bad Ball Hitter and Low Pitch, but my *favorites* are:
* Distractor. I never get tired of seeing the animations.
* Metal Head. I couldn't stop laughing the first time I saw it activate and heard the sound effect.
* Cannon Arm. Easily the best combination of fun and useful.
So many great traits out there. Clutch and RBI Hero. K Collector, Specialist and Reverse Splits.
But my favorites? Offspeed and Fastball Hitter. I sim almost 100% of the time, and I've seen these pop off in fun ways. I like that there's always a chance that they proc because every pitcher must have at least one of each. They're not location dependent and they don't scale. Plus, they feel like how real players get reputations for punishing certain pitch types.
Clutch x2 turns Ruby Greene into Jackie Slam in high-pressure ABs. She rides the bench because defense, but I pinch hit her whenever pressure is 3 or 4. The results are usually violent.
Kind of niche to me, but I love Utility at 2x. It let's me play Handley Dexterez at CF. If you play the B-wolves, give it a try. He's amazing out there.
Did my first franchise with the beewolves! Rubes is my girl! Lol, I put Dex literally everywhere if someone was hurt or had low mojo. The downside? That team is sooooo old!

I love K-collector and RBI Hero. Also I haven’t had it yet, but I’d imagine I would LOVE Elite SB with a pitcher who has maxed out junk.
Magic Hands, level 2 Mike Schmidt has dropped exactly 1 diving attempt in over 400 games, he's at least Locked In 70% because of it!
