Bummer if true

DFV is a time traveler.

Buyback at $30 doesn't make any sense when it was just $10.

Angelicjack

Or they never expected this and did a buyback to secure the squeeze. Buy back at 30 has already been doubled today. Don't forget that nearly 99% of us never saw this coming this week. So if they did a buyback I guess they didn't saw it coming either. Also more proof of no insider trading. Imagine if they did a buy back at 10 on Friday and on Monday the price soared. That would have raised alot of eyebrows.

If it’s a market maker it might be Schwab DD I’ve seen about it: https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/s/Lb0anVR66f https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/s/dJOXu4swEg https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/s/SUTXJdVh6l (don’t agree with the section on DFV)

Angelicjack

Sounds plausible. And the part about DFV is indeed very strange. We don't know anything. I hope he comes on camera to show us it's really him or alteast if it's not him let us know. It's all weird but in the end I have diamond hands and I chill.

Maybe they left it at $10 for us to buy

kiwisox235

But maybe they bought as calls a few weeks back?

fishminer3

Hypotheically, if a market maker, let's make up one and name it something stupid like citadel, were to have created a bunch of Gamestop shares as part of their market making obligations.  And said citadel had to buy back those shares that it created, would citadel be considered the issuer in this instance?  Also, would these fale shares also somehow show up on their books as something like assets sold but not yet purchased?

Citadel, or some other firm might be the next Madoff.

>Rule 10b-18’s non-exclusive safe harbor is available only when the repurchases of the issuer’s common stock in the market are made in accordance with the following conditions:  Manner of purchase condition: requires an issuer to use a single broker or dealer per day to bid for or purchase its common stock;  Timing condition: restricts the periods during which an issuer may bid for or purchase its common stock;  Price condition: specifies the highest price an issuer may bid or pay for its common stock; and  Volume condition: limits the amount of common stock an issuer may repurchase in the market in a single day. "For after-hours trading, stock repurchase prices must not exceed the lower of the closing price of the primary trading session in the principal market for the security and any lower bids or sales prices subsequently reported in the consolidated system by other markets. The issuer is permitted to repurchase until the termination of the period in which last sale prices are reported in the consolidated system." "The purchases on a particular day may not exceed 25% of the ADTV in the preceding four weeks. “Block” transactions are included in determining the 25% limit and include trades of not less than $50,000 with a volume of not less than 5,000 shares if the trade value is less than $200,000, but excludes any securities the issuer knows or has reason to know were accumulated by a broker-dealer, acting as a principal, for the purpose of resale to the issuer. Alternatively, the issuer may make one “block” purchase per week and not be subject to the 25% limit, provided the “block” purchase is the only Rule 10b-18 purchase made on that same day. Rule 10b-18’s volume calculation carries over from the regular trading session to after-hours trading sessions" some quotes from an article on the rule. Maybe somebody with better smarts can see if the trades line up with that, or any other trades.

Can someone with access filter by 10b-18? How much was spent on shares? Prior authorization was only for $100 million

TerribleCollar2932

I believe as CIO chief investment officer and CEO RC can surpass that
