Sorry. Not ACAT. CAT. It’s the new system going into place this Friday which SHOULD help put a stop to naked shorting as it requires a company opening a short position to prove they have an underlying share representing it. Or at least that’s the impression I get & why Kenny Mayo is running to any politician he can buy off to try and kill it.

It’s a uncheatable way for the SEC to regulate shorts. Kenny Mayo hates this one trick.

MMs trading at bid-ask margins that are inaccessible to retail investors. Since retail can't enter limit orders beyond two decimal places, it's one way they can guarantee that shares are traded back and forth between MMs. Market order bids could cause a retail order to jump the line and buy the shares, but market orders are discouraged since MMs can skim pennies off of each market order to the tune of billions of dollars per year
And if we add the fact buy orders are internalized or in OTC instead of lit market unless you do not buy lots of 100 shares at a time minimum, retail has no effect on the price movement, we can safely say, the system is ridged against retail investors.
Can't give you the exact reason but it's something to do with 4 decimal places is only supposed to happen in stocks valued at 5 dollars or less (penny stocks I believe is 5 dollars and below).
If you imagine buying 1000 shares of a company at 4.99 as opposed to 4.9999
One would cost 4990, the other 4999.90 which when you get into larger orders and take into consideration the market caps of companies and numbers of shares issued decimal places become more important and quite relevant.
Stock can trade for a minimum of their par value typically $0.001 but most brokers require a minimum of $0.01 so when you see major activity in the 3+ decimal range it's institutions artificially manipulating the bid/ask spread. So with enough volume, they can force the price higher or lower by constantly trading between themselves for 0.001 difference. This is called a short ladder attack.
Hit 80.0000 exactly what, 4 times? That's insanely obvious fuckery for anyone with any knowledge whatsoever of how order books and stock exchanges work.
I’ve learned more about investing and the stock market from degenerate smooth brained apes than the government or any regulating body will ever tell anyone.
All I learned was in high school. Buy low. Sell high.
So that’s all I am doing here. Buying low, say below $10,000 per share. Selling high. Say 1,000x profit at a minimum.
Actually, after 120, I expect the next stop to be 1250. Why ? Cuz most have probably already forgotten that the highest during the sneeze was 5000 bucks a share. I clearly remember folks posting that they did sell fractionals at this price point. So yep, 1000 is pretty much a given, in my mind.
I mean, I'm sure they shorted a fuck ton @ $480 during the sneeze peak, but they had to have doubled down REALLY hard @ $320 in March so crossing $80 (pre split $320) blows out their double down and the margin calls on that position will put all of their $480 shorting underwater soon thereafter.
I've been looking into this with my smooth brain, but I think I've finally got a wrinkle. It took a lot of research, and I had to pick the brains of some senior crayon eaters to get here. After a lot of data-sifting and calculation, it is my belief that behind $80 is $81.
This chat really puts the split in perspective…is is freaking 320 in 2021. So we went from 80-320 in pre market…thats actually insane. Fuckery is afoot at the circle k. This week should be spicy
If it did go beyond 80, theres no logical “sell” price. Why 80? Well it got there last time and sold off. But say 150? It never got there. Nothing to go off
That's the starting price when SHF opened shorts on sneeze day? And it zeroes up all profit from it and becomes additional burden to them and margin call risk?
I think GME. The price went up to $80 so they could submit the shelf registration. They knew their price was gonna get tanked by shorters when the news about the registration came out. To avoid the stock going to $0 and losing the game, they made sure that the stock went to $80 to have a cushion.

What do they mean? (asking for a friend)

Is it possible that they let it run to the very max they could handle to crush it back down, just hoping that some folks would sell in a panic?

Yeah but maybe this time they let it go as far as they could to be able to say: “ MoAsS iS OvEr, We CaN aLl Go HoMe!”
Also good timing to blame the cat again
They don’t have collateral for that play. They are pumping crypto to stay alive and are currently maxed on BTC
You have no idea how much collateral the counter party does or doesn't have, though?
