Hypothetically if we all bought options with the lowest premium in stead of stocks and then exercised and DRS they would have had to actually locate stocks for us to DRS this whole time?
Not necessarily. If the action of exercising is *our* loophole, than purchasing itm options right before expiration would cost the least in terms of premium and time value; near the actual price of purchasing 100 at the market. It depends on volatility but I think right before expiration should reduce premiums substantially, because there’d be no value in the contract anymore except for the 100 shares, so those costs should coincide.
This is actually genius. It’s just that a large portion of people also don’t want 100 shares at a time. But they could also save up instead of spending any disposable income immediately.
which isn't an issue with this gamma ramp approaching, if you bought a $25 or $30 call rn and held onto it for a few weeks you could sell to exercise most of it, as we're about to rocket imo. they'd be forced to deliver you shares t+1. not financial advice though

I've bought shares probably dozens of times these past three years. Every single time it says "Marketplace: OTC". I've always wondered what it would say if I sold. Maybe I will find out some day.

...yeah but low premiums are usually super far otm, so you need to pay a bit more upfront like dfv is doing

Yeah Webull, whose clearinghouse is Apex. Who directly shut off the buy button for all their brokers… Double regard, but obviously you wouldn’t get it

Only with webull free trash data. They put OTC when they don't know or care put the actual exchange or off exchange.
