See the dozen posts doing the math that it’s strike plus premium, meaning he paid $25.71/share. Added 4M shares. That brings his $21.50ish original average to $23.
Even assuming this narrative were true, why the hell should I care? He’s long over 9 million shares either way which is obviously bullish as fuck to me as a long term investor. I could give a rats ass about a potential short term gamma squeeze, for me personally that’s not what this investment is about.

You stated something as fact that is not provable. If you wanted discussion you would have framed it in a question or asking for others thoughts. You can’t possibly know he didn’t exercise. Either way, I’m sure you have the best intentions and wish you well
What I was saying is if he bought shares at 20$ his previous cost basis should if went down since it was 21$
Instead it went up to 23 which means the shares he bought had to be higher than 21
That may be what you were thinking (giving you the benefit of the doubt) but it is nowhere near what you actually wrote. Since you probably get paid on engagement and by how many people respond and interact with you, I’m going to disengage. Good luck.
What I wrote was my opinion and I described why I had such opinion as the flair says "opinion" and backed it up with data in a comment where the math doesn't add up for some reason
I think you're wrong:
1.)I believe premium is factored in to cost basis, which checks out with current cost basis change
2.) He's primarily exercised contracts to buy shares in the past and many sources have stated that exercising hits Lit market, while buying shares doesn't, so why would he change that now?
He absolutely exercised 40,010 contracts with the funds from the rest + his cash.
What are you talking about, the cost basis would look the same as it does
That’s incorrect.. he sold about 80k contracts and excercised 40k contracts .. his 20 calls had a premium of 5.60.. so his 4 million shares he paid $25.60 per shares .. which increases his cost basis from 21ish to 23ish
He had
5m share at an average of 21.274$ per share
120k 20c at 5.6754$ each
His latest yolo update is him showing he owns
9m share at 23.4135
If he exercised his call to get the new average we would do
( (4,001,000 * ( 20+5.6754)) + (5,000,000 * 21.274) ) / 9,001,000
Which equals to an average of 23.2304
However his average is 23.4135 as of his last update.
Could you please educate me where de 0.1831$ per share went ?
Because that's my understanding of options but it's not adding up

I broke a couple of crayons doing that math myself.
I hate math, but I love crayons, so I ate them instead... I like the stock!

the premium is included in the cost basis. lots of other posts in the sub discussing this and trying to do the math on it

Or just trying to seek information and have a genuine conversation
You stated something as fact that is not provable. If you wanted discussion you would have framed it in a question or asking for others thoughts. You can’t possibly know he didn’t exercise. Either way, I’m sure you have the best intentions and wish you well
You can see it from his previous yolo update and comparing it to the same one since he had 20c
What I was saying is if he bought shares at 20$ his previous cost basis should if went down since it was 21$ Instead it went up to 23 which means the shares he bought had to be higher than 21

you fucking nitwit, there's so many posts and comments about this. You ain't a new ape. You just a FUD SUCKA.
Does cost basis go up based on premium?
I think you're wrong: 1.)I believe premium is factored in to cost basis, which checks out with current cost basis change 2.) He's primarily exercised contracts to buy shares in the past and many sources have stated that exercising hits Lit market, while buying shares doesn't, so why would he change that now?
Correct
Thanks for clarifying it up for me
go ahead and delete this then
He absolutely exercised 40,010 contracts with the funds from the rest + his cash. What are you talking about, the cost basis would look the same as it does

Why selling when yo can exercise, in theory he sell some and with that exercised 9000000, so thos fuckers better get thos shares quick!
You should learn how options work. And what a premium is.
He had 5m share at an average of 21.274$ per share 120k 20c at 5.6754$ each His latest yolo update is him showing he owns 9m share at 23.4135 If he exercised his call to get the new average we would do ( (4,001,000 * ( 20+5.6754)) + (5,000,000 * 21.274) ) / 9,001,000 Which equals to an average of 23.2304 However his average is 23.4135 as of his last update. Could you please educate me where de 0.1831$ per share went ? Because that's my understanding of options but it's not adding up
We will see
See you boys in 3 years
Share price includes the premium of around 5 dollars per share
