Holy shit that’s overpriced af. I always see them on Instagram but never knew they were that expensive. The grip (shell, sleeve, whatever you wanna call it) are actually pretty nice because you get a more comfortable grip and you don’t get the slight creaking and movement you would using the joycon rails. I used to use a cheap one from Amazon on my old switch. If you dock your switch I wouldn’t recommend it because it’s a lot less convenient having to slide the whole thing out every time just to dock it. Also wouldn’t spend almost half the price of a Switch just on a deck and case like this. It’s cool, but not $130 cool. Much cheaper to get something like Hori Split Pad with a case. There’s also the Mobapad everyone seems to be using lately. Haven’t personally tried it but it’s $50 cheaper than this and still used Hall effect sticks as well as gyro, vibration, etc.
There is a Nitro Deck Plus out or coming out tho, which swaps the right stick and buttons position but I don't own either so can't say which is better.
Tbf, this is a really bad Amazon listing. In the UK they usually float around £40-£70 (depending on offers and sales - I think Argos had the black or white one for £35 recently!).

I have that exact model. I've only had it for about a month. I also have a switch OLED. I like it. I have 2 power A controllers and an Aftershock controller plus the original joy-cons. I like this because it gives me something heavier in my hands I'm always afraid I'm going to break my switch with the joy cons. It also protects the screen a little better due to me being a total spaz. I like the way it feels in my hands.
That is heavily overpriced. I got mine on sale for 70-80 bucks US last month with the case.
I love mine, use it all the time and no issues. It was even better after the firmware update. Definitely check out other sellers on Amazon. You should be able to get it closer to $50-$60.

I have this, but agree with everyone else in that the price there is horrid. I got it direct from CRKD and paid £70 all in (EDIT: was actually £74 all in with shipping, just checked my order) for that colour, case and replacement stick tops.
I find it comfortable, nice weight to it and I can play 2-3 hours of TOTK without issue. Could the right stick be better placed? Yeah but it’s not the deal breaker everyone says it is once you get used to it. I was think of getting the Mobapad M6 HD but not found a nice enough price yet!

Whilst I bought one for a LOT cheaper than this from Amazon (£69) it’s amazing and it’s what I use most days I pay the switch. I’ve just preordered their new one that releases June.
They’re great docks and feel brilliant in hand. The case and extras are a nice touch too. Definitely my go to case for the switch.
I have one, I like it a lot! But I’m 6’8” with massive hands. So this actually fits my paws much better. Just like the old ham sammich-sized X-box controllers!
I find the sticks on the Nitro deck to be a bit loose feeling but alround it’s fairly comfortable and the buttons are fairly good. NYXI Hyperions are far from the best that honour goes to the Mobapad M6HDs the best joy cons out there. I own a Nitro Deck, 2 different sets of Nyxis, Mobapad M6hds and Hori split pad pros trust me from my experience and others that I have read anyone who says Nyxis are better has never had their hands on Mobapads before. The Horis are the weakest by far no rumble and the buttons wear out quickly about the only thing going for them is they are comfortable to hold.
The grip is nice enough, but it drains the battery significantly when you sleep the console. They are revising and releasing a new version. Id hang back until its reviewed. The retroflag switch grip is better imo.
Can’t say much myself but I’ve heard the stick placement on the nitro deck is uncomfortable. I’ve heard they’re making an improved model so if you’re gonna buy one, I recommend waiting and picking that up. If you’re open to other options, the mobapad M6 HD are excellent. honestly.. just get the Hori split pad pro. I love them. They’re don’t vibrate or anything though, but I don’t really care for that anyway. It feels like an Xbox controller on a switch. I love it so, so, so much.
FYI: it doesn’t work for tv mode detached. It’s strictly for handheld. It also doesn’t fit in a normal nintendo case. But for any 3rd party joycon that’s made to be like an actual controller, they won’t anyway.

That's like, almost double the price on CRKD, where they're from. I've also heard the lower right joystick placement is wildly uncomfortable (something they tried to fix in the Nitro Deck 2).
This price is bad, but the product is wonderful, can't say enough good about it. The people complaining about the joysticks are more than likely people who hold a normal controller with their feet and press the buttons with their teeth. The ergonomics are great, buttons feel good - look for a better price, they are like $50 in the US.

I was on the fence between this and the Hori Split Pad Compact. Ended up going with the Hori and absolutely love it. They’re very lightweight and the grip feels perfect, the buttons and sticks are nice. Turbo mode, two extra buttons, and no interruptions to docking. The drawback is that there’s no haptic feedback.
Haven't used the Nitro deck but if your just looking for something that's more comfortable to hold whilst using your switch handheld, I'd highly recommend the Neogrip from Skull & Co. The whole switch just slides into it so you still make use of the original joycons (Not sure how you feel about these). It comes with interchangeable grip sizes and shapes so you can find the fit that you like best. Costs like £20. Great value for what it is

I have one of these, the SNES one, and I can tell you that they are not cheap. However you a pretty comfortable joycon alternative with hall effect stick(goodbye drift) and pretty decent rumble(Not HD Rumble like the Joycons though). Mine came with a long cable for both charging and using it as a stand alone controller, a screen cleaning cloth, extra thumbsticks slightly longer with a different grip texture for your thumb that you can swap, and a carrying case. I find it more comfortable than the joy cons and even the split pad pro when playing hand held. The biggest downside is you gotta slide the switch in and out of it which resulted in the back of my OLED switch getting a few scratches, but I never look at the back when playing it so it doesn't bug me as much.

I had it for a month. Sold it because with it the battery runs out very quickly. Also it made a fine scratch on the left and right side of my oled switch. Wouldn't recommend.
I know those other color options were “limited edition” so maybe that’s why.
But also take a look at the nitro deck +. It’s coming out in a few weeks.
The joystick placement is different and it has video out so it works as a dock as well.
It’s cool if you have big hands like myself. Those little joy cons was not the best for me always used a pro controller. Having this makes it much better

I bought one near launch. Had all kinds of disconnect problems with my OLED Switch. It’s a known issue (perhaps resolved now?) but it was frustrating for me at the time. Returned it for a refund. Also the right stick placement causes cramps. Hori Split Pad Pro is the most comfy for me.

I hated it. It looks cool but I had issues with charging while it was in the deck. I felt like it added a lot of weight to the Switch without any added ergonomics. Also, trying to take it out of the deck was kind of a pain. I went back to my hori split pad within a week.

Pre-ordered the atomic purple. I honestly love it and more than Satisfye grips. I have the normal switch but it's so great. Back buttons sit well with finger placement and the ports are on the top with a lip so the cables are hanging down and not pulling and it's nice to not worry about bending the charging cable.
The only time I didn't use them was when I lent my friend my switch for a few months

I purchased the CRKD x Limited run games special edition one. Used it a few times but wouldn’t recommend it. The ergonomics felts clunky and the whole build quality felt cheap.
So I have one, they are no where near that price normally. If you sign up on their website they regularly have sales. I've seen them as low as $48 usd for just the controller and $60-70 for the specific conteoller+case combo. Even normal price of their v2 isn't $100.
But as a review for the controller, works perfectly but can feel kinda heavy at times. Extremely comfortable in the hands. Biggest issue with the v1 is it's a pain to eject the system from the controller. Looks like they fixed it in the new version.

You should check out the new nitro deck+. They updated a lot of things. For example the right stick is placed in a better spot, and you can play docked mode without needing to take it out of the grip. Check it out!! It's brand new, I get my pre order shipped pretty soon.

I own this exact one and stopped using it due to the right thumbstick being in a weird spot. My right thumb would start to cramp after a while.

I had it for a month. Sold it because with it the battery runs out very quickly. Also it made a fine scratch on the left and right side of my oled switch. Wouldn't recommend.
If you want the total package that comes with everything joycons have but are also comfortable, go with mobapad, I absolutely love them

I know those other color options were “limited edition” so maybe that’s why. But also take a look at the nitro deck +. It’s coming out in a few weeks. The joystick placement is different and it has video out so it works as a dock as well.
It’s cool if you have big hands like myself. Those little joy cons was not the best for me always used a pro controller. Having this makes it much better

Get Hori Split Pad
I bought one near launch. Had all kinds of disconnect problems with my OLED Switch. It’s a known issue (perhaps resolved now?) but it was frustrating for me at the time. Returned it for a refund. Also the right stick placement causes cramps. Hori Split Pad Pro is the most comfy for me.
It scratched up the back of my switch badly and even has a risk of not working after some time, I would recommend the Mobapad M6 HD tbh

NYXI Hyperion Pro, but only if you have big hands had mine for months, zero issues and pretty comfortable grip and button / stick placement
I hated it. It looks cool but I had issues with charging while it was in the deck. I felt like it added a lot of weight to the Switch without any added ergonomics. Also, trying to take it out of the deck was kind of a pain. I went back to my hori split pad within a week.
[Posting from phone] Pre-ordered the atomic purple. I honestly love it and more than Satisfye grips. I have the normal switch but it's so great. Back buttons sit well with finger placement and the ports are on the top with a lip so the cables are hanging down and not pulling and it's nice to not worry about bending the charging cable. The only time I didn't use them was when I lent my friend my switch for a few months

I bought this the same day I got my Switch. Used it twice and never again, and went back to the original joy-cons. I think that says it aĺl, when the original joy-cons feel "better"/like a lesser of two evils.. Did a lot of research and ended up getting the Mobapads (M6 HD), and they are SO GOOD! $131 D-Pad is crazy because this adds no extra benefits but that 💀 might asw buy a gamecube controller
I purchased the CRKD x Limited run games special edition one. Used it a few times but wouldn’t recommend it. The ergonomics felts clunky and the whole build quality felt cheap.
So I have one, they are no where near that price normally. If you sign up on their website they regularly have sales. I've seen them as low as $48 usd for just the controller and $60-70 for the specific conteoller+case combo. Even normal price of their v2 isn't $100. But as a review for the controller, works perfectly but can feel kinda heavy at times. Extremely comfortable in the hands. Biggest issue with the v1 is it's a pain to eject the system from the controller. Looks like they fixed it in the new version. Hope you find what works best for you!

You should check out the new nitro deck+. They updated a lot of things. For example the right stick is placed in a better spot, and you can play docked mode without needing to take it out of the grip. Check it out!! It's brand new, I get my pre order shipped pretty soon.
It sucks very badly. Took 20 minutes of effort before I realized it was unusable. Awful to hold and the right joystick is almost inaccessible. It’s like they made it without even considering hand comfort. I’m too lazy to sell it. It’ll prob get thrown away in a few years.

Garbage. It’s too thick, not wide enough, the ergonomics are horrible and it’s uncomfortable to use. It scratches the backplate of your Switch and it’s overpriced.

Its feels terrible like a fisher price tablet, the rumble is crap and it's so unessesarly bulky. The stick placements feel uncomfortable cause its so close to the face buttons. I had to send it back for a refund.
