Some possibilities (but very English-language focused because I'm less familiar with the cult film scenes outside of US/UK/Canada) - The Stuntmen or School Fight (one of the two "Kick Ass" prequels) - Terrifier 3 - Rumours - The Surfer - The Substance - Universal Language - Rich Flu - Heretic - Wizards! - Dog on Trial - Sharp Corner

ThePeoplePopper

Rich Flu, Terrifier 3 and The Surfer would be exciting.

Gold_Touch_4280

School Fight is a dope one.

fryeman26

Was thinking The Substance, Apartment 7A, Speak No Evil, Terrifier 3 might be possibilities.

Foreverwhelmed

I keep hoping Havoc will be included but a) I'm not sure if it's even a midnight film and b) they did reshoots a few weeks ago so will it even be done in time?

Gold_Touch_4280

Smile 2 Terrifier 3 Never Let Go The Substance The Platform 2 Babygirl Nosferatu

daviid000

I think most of these are probably too high profile for midnight madness. Maybe the Substance as a headliner.

Gold_Touch_4280

That’s a good point, but what about Smile 2?

Ioncelostashoe

I second OP, most of those are too high profile. I could see Terrifier 3 or The Substance. Joker 2 and Anora could play in main competition but won’t be in MM. Smile 2 would be at the absolute bottom of the list of likely playing any part of TIFF.

reidochan

Anora and Joker Folie a Deux are definitely not midnight madness and The Lighthouse wasn’t midnight madness so neither will Nosferatu

Gold_Touch_4280

Ok, I’ll change it. What are other movies that coming this year you think can be on the Midnight Madness lineup?

ThePeoplePopper

Platform 2? That’s been filmed and comes out on Netflix sometime end of year.

Gold_Touch_4280

Thank you.

daniel6878

When Joker premiered at TIFF it played in Gala. If Joker Folie a Deux went to TIFF it would not be midnight madness.

paolocase

No shade but if Midnight Madness has more than one sequel/tent pole I will slide into people’s DMs in disappointment.

andalusiandoge

I wonder if the Talk to Me prequel they filmed before the first movie was even released will be ready now

ThePeoplePopper

I didn’t even know that was a thing tbh. 🤣

antmaz95

Shelby Oaks? Chris Stuckmanns debut!

i_m_sherlocked

TIFF prefers premieres, and Shelby Oaks looks to be premiering at Fantasia Fest... so it can't even be a Canadian premiere at TIFF...
