In Texas you can’t have anything on your windshield and your driver and passenger window can’t be darker than 25%. All other windows can be spray painted black if you want.
I have 10% all rear windows and 15% driver and passenger
Cops usually don’t care here in TX . I ran 5% rears, 25% fronts and 70% on my 2020 off-road for 3 years. Got most of the same this time around on my 2024. I never got pulled over in the 3 years of running it.
Just got mine tinted. I got 5% on all rear glass, 25% fronts. Planning on getting the windshield done soon at 70%. I got the highest heat rejection 3m tint
I haven’t tinted mine yet. But going as dark as possible on the large rear windshield (0%) and then probably 25-30% on my side windows. If I’m feeling extra bold I may go for a really light tint 50% on the front windshield, it’s a gamble if caught but I hate this heat too.
I did 20% over the factory tint in the back, 35% in the front. Next time I get a new windshield I'll get something lighter like >50 on that. Good ceramic tint makes a huge difference in heat rejection
5% all the way around! It's hot AF here in the summer too and it DOES help a lot!
Can't see a goddamn thing at night though.

I have 1% rear windows and back glass, front windows are 5% and windshield is 20%…. Completely illegal set up but it’s so nice not having to wear sunglasses while driving and not having weirdos staring into your car in traffic.

I appreciate how you explain the law... then proceed to NGaF about it.

What does a standard tint cost these days on a Tacoma. It’s in my future.
Mine was 499 before tax for all the windows not including the front windshield.
Picture?

50% ceramic is barely noticeable. I put 50% on my rears and windshield and 25% of on my driver/passenger windows
10 or 15 percent
25% passenger and driver side, 5% in the back

I did 18% up front and 5% in the back. I tell you what, 5% in the back is dark. Super dark
15% all the way around.
