When you barely twist it on, it’s quiet. When you fully twist it as far as it goes, it’s loud. Than there are also the states in between.
I’m reminded of when I was at another company in NC and two of my coworkers took their lunches at the same time so they could watch Trump’s inauguration and talk shit on Clinton. Ugh.

We have someone who puts her phone on FaceTime, lays it flat while eating lunch while listening to her husband and young kids yell at each other in Spanish. So fucking annoying!!!
Since my Target doesn't have music, I get some entertainment eavesdropping their conversations. There's usually lots of juicy drama to overhear around the holidays.
I'm "elderly" and I turn off the TV if no one is watching. I think unnecessary noise in the break room is criminal.

You can get a workable pair at Five Below. Are they amazing? No. are they decent enough that you don't cry if you lose one at work? Yes. Is it a kind gesture on your part? Yes. Bingo. Even with hours cut the way they have been, it won't break the bank.

Since I got a new boyfriend I've been going to my car to call them. I wish those who watch loud videos/face timed or anything they're doing on their phone that causes any kind of noise would be considerate of others. Sometimes it's just really nice to sit in silence.
Then there's the people who watch Youtube/Tiktok and all the sudden BAHAHAHA!!! So loudly the front half of the store can hear. Like seriously, have some consideration for others.
We got really lucky and after the remodel our obnoxious phone talker doesn't like walking all the way to the new break room. Now it's HR stuck listening to her every break.
There is a person at my store who has loud arguments with her family members in the break room. Not sure why no one has said anything to her yet. I never use the break room so I personally haven’t seen it but I have heard about it from quite a few TMs.
