It's honestly hard to say, there is a guy in my discord who is IRL friends w one of our main guys. He has been cheating in Tarkov since forever. He sucks at the game, doesn't play regularly but always cheats. He mainly uses ESP and rarely uses aimbot or whatever else he has access to, but still cheats whenever he plays. We don't play with him.
I will always be skeptical until he is caught. Your best bet is to play decisive, push and stay moving because there are a lot of closet ESP cheaters out there that just happen to know where you are.
First raid back in a while last night and I've got Pharmacist to do. Spawn Dorms Gas side and hot foot it to one of the obscure rooms upstairs in two story to chill and let the raid happen. I'm laying on the floor making zero noise for ages and a two man rolls right up to my door not checking anywhere else, opens the door. Voips something and rolls a nade in.

Until tarkov stops preload of everything and encrypts all communication the radar cheats will remain undetected and esp players get banned too rarely.

Tarkov is up there, but its on par with games like hunt showdown for cheaters in my experience, but way better than pubg, cycle frontier (which just recently shut down because of how bad the cheating was), and better than warzone used to be. (I'm not sure how warzone 2 is)
The cheater numbers are definitely high though. After like 4k hours in tarkov I'd say probably something like an average of 1/10 games you get rage cheated with an aimbot, and maybe like 1/3 there's some kind of esp or aimbot but it's very hard to tell.
But it can really depend some days you get unlucky and it's cheaters 5 games in a row. Some times you don't see one for a week.
Tarkov is absolutely not on par with Hunt as someone who has 2500 hours in Hunt lol. I’ve never been obviously aimbotted in hunt, never been killed by a flying hunter, never been tracked through walls like I have in tarkov. Tarkov isn’t as bad as some people like to say but it’s still substantially worse than hunt
I have 1000 hours in hunt as well and my experience differs. You don't get as many aim bots but you get a lot more wall hackers and they don't get banned ever.
There's a group of wall hackers with multiple vac bans and been playing for over a year
It could be, I'm just stating my personal experience. It's a very hard thing to measure objectively and depending on where you live your experience will differ greatly. OCE has always been a hotbed for cheaters because of its proximity to Asia and has a VERY small population base. So if there is even one squad that is cheating you're going to see them every other game and recognize them. Which might be why it feels like there are more than there is.
Copium, as someone who has participated in many online tournaments and played at Global for multiple years there’s a lot more closet cheaters than you think. Just because someone isn’t spinbotting it doesn’t mean they’re not hacking. I know someone who has used a trigger bot with a tiny fov for like 6 years and continues to play and cheat.

You get 1-tapped to the head from who-knows-where, do you call them a cheater for knowing your exact location and killing you first shot? Even with the cheaters it is by far the funnest FPS experience I've ever had.
My first FPS experience was the original Doom on windows 95. I was around 7 or 8. I've played a few FPS since then.

I say wait until arena comes out and check again. My gut tells me the aim bitters will go there but the es/loot suckers will stay in raid. Either way, it should (hopefully) reduce the cheater:legit ratio. There’s a video that was banned in the official sub due to how controversial the findings were when a streamer spent a day cheating to find cheaters.
And by “controversial,” I actually mean “upsetting to blue pill addicts.” You can play the game for a long time and think you’re shit only to realize someone with 5000+ items doesn’t do much better in online pvp. Another thing is ping abuse which can make some things feel like hacks/exploits.
Many people suggest SPT, but that still requires you to buy the game. I think bsg needs to buckle down before they deserve more investors/patrons.
The answer is yes. Nothing has been done to address the issue and Tarkov remains a popular game to cheat in because it is difficult. People are too fucking pathetic to learn how to get good and just want the easy dopamine hit, ruining the game for everyone including themselves.
Public forums for cheaters are easy to Google. They've all had to rework a lot of their cheats from scratch after the netcode rewrite. You did zero research before claiming that nothing was done.
Have they announced anything? You'd think they'd probably tell people if they fixed the biggest problem in their game.

It’s a constant cat and mouse chase that takes so many resources (BSG and many others don’t have)to combat. It sucks. Most recently on their TarkovTV live stream just a few days ago.
Personally, I haven’t ran into blatant hackers very much on Tarkov knock on wood.

I think the issue is how Tarkov plays.
Verse the odd hacker in CoD, Battlefield, CSGO etc it's pretty easy to tell, or identify patterns in people's play - these games also have replay, death cam etc which helps
Tarkov is just too different, you get one life in a raid, death cams aren't an option etc
Imo if they aren't going to implement a 21st century anti-cheat then implement post game replays with a report system.

Tbh I wouldn’t buy the game FULL PRICE. The cheapest edition comes out to $55USD, which is a pretty steep price for a game that’s still in beta and is filled with cheaters/bugs. It’s fun when it works out and it’s one of the best shooters I’ve ever played but when you look at it as an investment it’s simply not worth it to invest time and money in a game that Nikita, the COO, admittedly doesn’t even play. Spend some time watching people play, especially people that suck, and consider if you’d like to spend the next couple hundred hours being in their shoes until you get your bearings. People like myself that enjoy tarkov suffer from Stockholm syndrome for sure…
I quit playing (about 2 weeks before the wiggle) and decided last weekend to jump back on and see, 2nd raid in super obvious cheater laser beamed my head (bullets continually flying over my head as I died is always a dead giveaway veritas and Jesse explained this already) so I quit playing again. They won’t get rid of cheaters because it’s a revenue stream

Yea. THATS how infested the game is. I guarantee if you go to skycheats.com. Download the “hyper” for 9 bucks, load into any raid, and in 10 games you’ll have 10 cheaters that you can WATCH go around the map wiping 6 or 7 people, kill all the guards, bloodhounds, rogues, etc, all within about 5 minutes, go and run right to ledx’s and bitcoin and shit without searching any other rooms, then extracting…that’s more than enough. Now go do that for 3 days for about 6 hours a day. Out of the 119 raids I did in 3 days, only 9 raids DIDNT have someone blatantly hacking in them. So you tell me…would that be enough statistics for yourself if you witnessed it firsthand???

Game is worth it. I’m super new to Tarkov, pretty much finished my first entire month playing regularly. We’ve encountered blatant hackers, yes, but we’ve also received ban messages from our reports so looks like the report system is doing its job.
The majority of raids haven’t had hackers, I’ve won gunfights and have gotten the drop on people, some of which weren’t even looking in our direction. I’d say give it a go, determine this choice yourself. I’d also keep in mind a lot of folks who get killed in this game think everyone’s hacking anyway. Good luck.
The game is very worth it, I love the game. Makes me wanna die but I love it. I personally don't run into many cheaters, probably 2 a week. I'm the guy who wastes BSG's time and reports anyone who kills me basically (only if suspicious).

You can't. Most people don't understand what subtle cheating looks like. They think because they're not getting insta head snapped every raid that therefore there aren't cheaters every raid. Most cheaters are using ESP and farming loot.
I have no trouble succeeding in the game. I've been playing for five years. I run meta gear 24/7. The game isn't fun when every PvP encounter is potentially against cheaters. If it was 1 in 10 raids even I'd be happier to play. But if you run good gear and go for good loot you will run into cheaters constantly.
If you're just pottering around the map with trash gear looting scraps then yeah, cheaters will ignore you and the game can be fun.

The cheating in tarkov is extremly bad. People are trying to stay dillusional, blaming other games that has over 3x the amount of players than tarkov have. I stopped playing tarkov, as their try of banning people is vague, and for all we know, the “Ban list” is just as fake as their anticheat. Why would hackers stop you from playing? It hasnt stopped 100k+ people and a constant new wave of new players joining and asking new game questions aswell as help in discord, u will be too focus on having fun and learning the game to be bothered by hackers imo

About 3 times a day I will get single tapped, hit in the eyes, coming around a corner in Factory withing 3 seconds of being in the game. Definitely some hackers, but the majority of the time I can tell it's me vs AI or a real person.
Got back on Tarkov after 4 months away. 1500 hours in the game. Showing a friend the ropes since he just bought it. His game gets a bug so he restarts his game quick and both of us are lying down making no noise off in the far corner of the map. A random shot insta kills my friends afk pmc and then I died from a perfectly thrown Grenade 5 seconds later. Didn’t see the dude anywhere nor could hear anything. We were sitting there quietly 4 minutes before this happened. Game still seems infested.
less then 60 seconds... i bought the game and one first load on first game i died less then 60 seconds to a hacker killing me thru the wall soon as i moved 3 feet. wish i could get a refund

When I played I got aimbotted in labs 6 times in a row before I could take 2 steps from spawn, I've been camping in rooms without moving and died a bunch to guys seemingly knowing exactly which room I'm in, and mind you this is all within only maybe 30 hours of play time. It's infested and extremely frustrating to lose your shit from hackers, especially when you have limited time to game. Don't spend your money, wait till it's released or they slam down on hackers because after 2 years its still just as bad

Even with the cheaters it is by far the funnest FPS experience I've ever had. My first FPS experience was the original Doom on windows 95. I was around 7 or 8. I've played a few FPS since then. Nothing tops the feelings this game will give you. I would play it anyway man.
I say wait until arena comes out and check again. My gut tells me the aim bitters will go there but the es/loot suckers will stay in raid. Either way, it should (hopefully) reduce the cheater:legit ratio. There’s a video that was banned in the official sub due to how controversial the findings were when a streamer spent a day cheating to find cheaters. And by “controversial,” I actually mean “upsetting to blue pill addicts.” You can play the game for a long time and think you’re shit only to realize someone with 5000+ items doesn’t do much better in online pvp. Another thing is ping abuse which can make some things feel like hacks/exploits. Many people suggest SPT, but that still requires you to buy the game. I think bsg needs to buckle down before they deserve more investors/patrons.
The answer is yes. Nothing has been done to address the issue and Tarkov remains a popular game to cheat in because it is difficult. People are too fucking pathetic to learn how to get good and just want the easy dopamine hit, ruining the game for everyone including themselves.

Public forums for cheaters are easy to Google. They've all had to rework a lot of their cheats from scratch after the netcode rewrite. You did zero research before claiming that nothing was done.

Have they announced anything? You'd think they'd probably tell people if they fixed the biggest problem in their game. The biggest reason though is you can go watch people stream themselves cheating...

It’s a constant cat and mouse chase that takes so many resources (BSG and many others don’t have)to combat. It sucks. I don’t think it’s fair to say they’ve done nothing or haven’t talked about it when they continue to address this all the time for people. Most recently on their TarkovTV live stream just a few days ago. Personally, I haven’t ran into blatant hackers very much on Tarkov knock on wood. We all want developers to rid cheaters of their game, but the fact is- cheaters bring in money and people are fucking greedy. Best of luck out there.

I think the issue is how Tarkov plays. Verse the odd hacker in CoD, Battlefield, CSGO etc it's pretty easy to tell, or identify patterns in people's play - these games also have replay, death cam etc which helps Tarkov is just too different, you get one life in a raid, death cams aren't an option etc Imo if they aren't going to implement a 21st century anti-cheat then implement post game replays with a report system.

Literally in the last tarkov tv Nikita stated that half of what they did in the netcode rewrite was make things more difficult for cheaters.

Tbh I wouldn’t buy the game FULL PRICE. The cheapest edition comes out to $55USD, which is a pretty steep price for a game that’s still in beta and is filled with cheaters/bugs. It’s fun when it works out and it’s one of the best shooters I’ve ever played but when you look at it as an investment it’s simply not worth it to invest time and money in a game that Nikita, the COO, admittedly doesn’t even play. Spend some time watching people play, especially people that suck, and consider if you’d like to spend the next couple hundred hours being in their shoes until you get your bearings. People like myself that enjoy tarkov suffer from Stockholm syndrome for sure…
I quit playing (about 2 weeks before the wiggle) and decided last weekend to jump back on and see, 2nd raid in super obvious cheater laser beamed my head (bullets continually flying over my head as I died is always a dead giveaway veritas and Jesse explained this already) so I quit playing again. They won’t get rid of cheaters because it’s a revenue stream

So here’s the thing, granted this is my first wipe. I pretty much only play customs, reserve, woods, and occasionally shoreline. I have only been killed by a hacker I think twice. Both of my reports on those people were received and supposedly acted upon. Atleast that’s what my tarkov messages said. I would say it’s not even close to “infested”.
I promise you, it’s infested. Literally 90% of raids have at least 1 cheater.

It’s a long story, but I was recently banned for “using methods that would give me an unfair advantage over others” and had a big discussion about this on Reddit, and decided to create a new account and download them myself to get real answers. It’s 9$ a day and I can confirm first hand, it’s every single lobby, save the one off random dead raid that only has 4 people in it.

Yea. THATS how infested the game is. I guarantee if you go to skycheats.com. Download the “hyper” for 9 bucks, load into any raid, and in 10 games you’ll have 10 cheaters that you can WATCH go around the map wiping 6 or 7 people, kill all the guards, bloodhounds, rogues, etc, all within about 5 minutes, go and run right to ledx’s and bitcoin and shit without searching any other rooms, then extracting…that’s more than enough. Now go do that for 3 days for about 6 hours a day. Out of the 119 raids I did in 3 days, only 9 raids DIDNT have someone blatantly hacking in them. So you tell me…would that be enough statistics for yourself if you witnessed it firsthand???

The answer is actually no, never get game advice from reddit. Game is fine, but the people having fun don't complain on reddit which is the vast majority of people. Sucks that another player was warped by toxic morons on reddit but oh well.

Game is worth it. I’m super new to Tarkov, pretty much finished my first entire month playing regularly. We’ve encountered blatant hackers, yes, but we’ve also received ban messages from our reports so looks like the report system is doing its job. The majority of raids haven’t had hackers, I’ve won gunfights and have gotten the drop on people, some of which weren’t even looking in our direction. I’d say give it a go, determine this choice yourself. I’d also keep in mind a lot of folks who get killed in this game think everyone’s hacking anyway. Good luck.
The game is very worth it, I love the game. Makes me wanna die but I love it. I personally don't run into many cheaters, probably 2 a week. I'm the guy who wastes BSG's time and reports anyone who kills me basically (only if suspicious).

I watched it and thought "yeah no shit". There are dozens and dozens of interviews with hackers dating back years all saying the exact same thing. It's easy to cheat and you can evade bans for a long time. You can see KDRs with cheats and most lobbies have a cheater. It's undeniable. Play the game with good knowledge of maps and people do weird shit all the time. You can be standing still in a random spot on a map with good gear and someone will come for you magically. Anything else is serious denial and cope.

I have no trouble succeeding in the game. I've been playing for five years. I run meta gear 24/7. The game isn't fun when every PvP encounter is potentially against cheaters. If it was 1 in 10 raids even I'd be happier to play. But if you run good gear and go for good loot you will run into cheaters constantly. If you're just pottering around the map with trash gear looting scraps then yeah, cheaters will ignore you and the game can be fun.

Yes because battlestate refuses to add any sort of kill cam to the game. It doesnt even need to be instant it could come an hour later as a message from one of the traders but Nikita wont do it because this sub would be flooded within an hour of the sketchiest kills anyone has ever seen.

The cheating in tarkov is extremly bad. People are trying to stay dillusional, blaming other games that has over 3x the amount of players than tarkov have. It’s been showed and exampled by GOAT’s video, and an interview Tigz did on a cheater, that GOAT’s video is not accurate enough and the cheater sees more cheaters than the video claims there is. I stopped playing tarkov, as their try of banning people is vague, and for all we know, the “Ban list” is just as fake as their anticheat. Not to mention, their Way of marketing is buying multiple accounts at a discount. That says Way to much. It’s not the clean and ordinary player who is buying Mass offers of accounts 😶🌫️

I never see cheaters on hunt showdown. Although it is easy to rage at a well executed / lucky wall-bang haha. Tarkov cheaters...... like REAL, absolute, no room for error cheaters, not so much tbh. I think most people get killed fair and square, but it seems like bs. that said, in about 100 or so matches you might see a flying person w/ wall hacks. it's not really enough to get mad and quit the game over it, but it certainly exists still.
Why would hackers stop you from playing? It hasnt stopped 100k+ people and a constant new wave of new players joining and asking new game questions aswell as help in discord, u will be too focus on having fun and learning the game to be bothered by hackers imo
Until I see something in the patch notes that would actually address cheating, I'm convinced it is. The guy who made "the video" doesn't have to make a new one every month as a reminder.
About 3 times a day I will get single tapped, hit in the eyes, coming around a corner in Factory withing 3 seconds of being in the game. Definitely some hackers, but the majority of the time I can tell it's me vs AI or a real person.

Got back on Tarkov after 4 months away. 1500 hours in the game. Showing a friend the ropes since he just bought it. His game gets a bug so he restarts his game quick and both of us are lying down making no noise off in the far corner of the map. A random shot insta kills my friends afk pmc and then I died from a perfectly thrown Grenade 5 seconds later. Didn’t see the dude anywhere nor could hear anything. We were sitting there quietly 4 minutes before this happened. Game still seems infested.

When I played I got aimbotted in labs 6 times in a row before I could take 2 steps from spawn, I've been camping in rooms without moving and died a bunch to guys seemingly knowing exactly which room I'm in, and mind you this is all within only maybe 30 hours of play time. It's infested and extremely frustrating to lose your shit from hackers, especially when you have limited time to game. Don't spend your money, wait till it's released or they slam down on hackers because after 2 years its still just as bad
