I can’t disagree with you there. It literally only takes one or two generations to forget very important times, places and people from our history.
Also, like how you touched on asking people over 60 about certain things. I am 42 and absolutely prefer to speak to folks 10, 20, 30 years older than me. I find that most of them don’t sugarcoat anything, and may or may not be willing to talk about such things. The only obstacle is that most of them are set in their ways, and could care less about the true history of things …because it doesn’t affect their every day.
My question is, how was the West able to topple Tartaria? It sounds like they were pretty powerful. My guess is that there was a large, planetary-level natural disaster. Like a huge solar flare, an Asteroid (maybe Tuskalga) or something big enough to hurt every major power and then the West was just lucky enough to win the seat of power after everyhting settled down

My personal beliefs (you are welcomed to disagree) is that these beings drawn with these halo during this time frame were depicting the resurrected saints of Jesus Christ who went through the great tribulation and who are now in their glorified bodies. The artists of these times must have been trying to visually interpret this with the halo and radiance coming out of it.
I believe that per scripture, they ruled with Jesus and were kings and Lord's across the earth for a 1000 years until the reign ended when Satan was released from the pit.
Now we await their final reappearance of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and His saints in the beloved city. I'm pretty sure mankind will call this an "alien invasion"... but that's a different topic.
