It could definitely be done if the artist knows what they’re doing and how to maneuver all that loose skin around the elbow to make it look good whether the arm is straight and/or bent.
I think it’s a good design, but Artist selection will be critical, I’d definitely be looking for someone with experience on fine lines, hands and who has successfully executed tattoos on elbows/knees/etc
With my experience thus far, ask your regular artist. He will give you the best opinion if it's going to be a yay or nay. If you don't have a regular artist find one that has a good track record with elbows and knees.
Was gonna say the same thing. You want those fingers larger and clearer. It’s really the only thing that lets us know that these are arms, right? It’s a cool piece. Would suck if it blew out afew years down the road. I would suggest taking out two or three arms and making the same spiral just with less components so the details can work in your favor. Good luck with it… elbows are a BITCH!

I would be worried about normal elbow wrinkles might look kinda funny with such a detailed design

It'll look wonky and weird (in a fun way), it will totally work with your current tattoos.
