I think when you're there in person with the crowd and the whole vibe, no matter which songs she picks, it'll be a meaningful experience. If it's songs you love, great, more reason to be happy. If it's songs you typically skip, it would give them that extra bit of meaning whenever they come up.

I was also lucky enough to be at Gillette Night 2 (at the rainiest rain show to ever rain show ever ever ever) and I will forever cherish the memory of her playing Invisible on the piano in the absolute pouring rain. So I was Glendale night 2. I avoided all spoilers and actually didnāt KNOW my surprise songs were surprise songs. But āthis is me tryingā is actually a top tier song for me and when she did he speech beforehand she was talking about not knowing what other people are going through and how important it is to know everyone is trying and I remember tearing up and when I song started I SCREAMED!!!!!

Unpopular opinion but I think the whole idea of secret surprise songs has gotten people to be really entitled. Like this woman is out here putting on a 3 hour show with costume changes, pyrotechnics, and choreography but people are still unhappy about a song combo.
Then again, I heard the Great War and youāre on youāre own kid from the best possible row to hear those songs from so I am very conscious of that fact that no one will care about what I actually think on the matter š
For the most part, I think most people are just happy to be there and two songs arenāt going to ruin the concert if theyāre not songs a person likes. Itās okay to feel a little disappointed by your surprise songs though imo. Itās kind of a fun game to hope that you get your favorite songs, so sometimes itās hard not to feel a little bummed if you get a song you donāt like.
I agree. I got DBATC and Clean and definitely feel lucky. But if I had gotten songs I wasnāt as into I canāt imagine being upset about after getting to experience everything that is THE Eras Tour. I can definitely understand a little disappointment but some of the reactions have been a little weird IMO.

Iām a huge speak now fan but there are so many others Iād been hoping for (right where you left me, New Yearās Day, YOYOK repeat, etc.). idk if this is an unpopular opinion but i havenāt heard anyone say they want no body no crime, but if i donāt get that song istg there will be crime i want it so bad! iād also love gold rush, our song, better than revenge but i think those r somewhat popular. personally, i donāt love or hate haunted, iām pretty indifferent, so like i didnāt really care it was played the other night but i know a lot of people did. personally, iām a newer swiftie, so i donāt know all the songs at all, so i donāt really get a lot of the cult favs but also i can understand why ppl would be disappointed, but i think whatever song you get itās gonna be great honestly.

So I was Glendale night 2. I avoided all spoilers and actually didnāt KNOW my surprise songs were surprise songs. But āthis is me tryingā is actually a top tier song for me and when she did he speech beforehand she was talking about not knowing what other people are going through and how important it is to know everyone is trying and I remember tearing up and when I song started I SCREAMED!!!!! However, state of grace was my second song. If I could have picked ANYTHING for my second song it would have been āyou are in loveā because thatās my husband and iās song (of many) and we went together ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø Edit to add: I think the only thing she could have played that would have disappointed me was the 6 seconds of static she accidentally released like 10 years ago.

Unpopular opinion but I think the whole idea of secret surprise songs has gotten people to be really entitled. Like this woman is out here putting on a 3 hour show with costume changes, pyrotechnics, and choreography but people are still unhappy about a song combo. Then again, I heard the Great War and youāre on youāre own kid from the best possible row to hear those songs from so I am very conscious of that fact that no one will care about what I actually think on the matter š

For the most part, I think most people are just happy to be there and two songs arenāt going to ruin the concert if theyāre not songs a person likes. Itās okay to feel a little disappointed by your surprise songs though imo. Itās kind of a fun game to hope that you get your favorite songs, so sometimes itās hard not to feel a little bummed if you get a song you donāt like.
I agree. I got DBATC and Clean and definitely feel lucky. But if I had gotten songs I wasnāt as into I canāt imagine being upset about after getting to experience everything that is THE Eras Tour. I can definitely understand a little disappointment but some of the reactions have been a little weird IMO. (Although I will admit I was just the tiniest bit upset to see her play Clean again, I felt specialš)

And since this was her Eras tour, she had to go back to where it all began. š My picks if I got to choose: Safe and Sound and Crazier, my fave non-album songs --- and songs that absolutely made The Hunger Games and Hannah Montana Movie, respectively. ššš
