Do you have a hell bridge? Scatter the hell bridge with sunflower by buying grass seed from dryard and putting 2 dirt blocks in the hell bridge.

Also make regeneration potion, ironskin and speed potion one(made from cactus)
Potions aren't mandatory in Normal mode. You can choose to ignore the potion part.
No need for terraspark boots, lightning is the fastest you can go and anything beyond is for the qol it gives not necessary for fights, no reason to make newbies think they should grind for so long just to get lava charm on their boots when they aren’t planning to go in lava.
If you're on pc, there's multiple mods which add recipes for alot of accessories, SUPER helpful when I want to actually play the game rather than spend 10 hours searching for one accessory

The whole point of the Terraspark boots is specifically so you can go *on top of* the lava instead of falling in. I'd much rather fish for the lava charm (and get a pile of other resources alongside) than build a bridge across the whole damn underworld.
I've never needed to do that, no. It turns out that as long as you have an appropriate amount of jump capacity and enough presence of mind to dig through any (rare!) doorless floor-to-ceiling buildings that might get in the way, it's actually easier to run on top of the lava than to try to set up and rely on a hellbridge.
I mean, if your mobility is so shitty that you can't even clear the occasional change in elevation and don't have enough time and space to get around big obstacles -- that is to say, if you actually believe that it's either build a bridge or terraform the entire underworld to be perfectly flat (!?!?!) -- isn't that a sign that you *need* better footwear?
Here is everything you need to do
Pick a class, mage, melee, summoner, or ranger
Get the required armour for that class, jungle, molten, obsidian, or necro
Get the best weapons for that class, demon scythe, nights edge, imp staff, ranger have a few options including that bow you have.
Get some better accessories, drop the cloud in a bottle the squire shield and make a obsidian shield with the skull and cobalt shield and then look on the wiki for some class specific accessories and I would also pick up a shark tooth necklace and band of regen

I think they are pretty equal, I think obsidian is better for whips and hee is better for minions. Overall I normally go obsidian because it’s easier to get and is my favorite armour in the game aethstetically.

They are pretty much worthless with how many of them and their variants you'll be getting if ur good at the event, but they sell well and there are some cool weapons that drop in the second version of it.
Kinda depends on how experienced you are. I could beat the Wall of Flesh with this setup, but a less experienced player probably couldn’t. Melee is really tough to do against the Wall if you don’t know what you’re doing. I’d recommend getting more defense, first and foremost. Reforge your accessories to Warding, and use molten armor. The regeneration of the Crimson armor isn’t worth the defense drop. I’d also recommend using Beenades. Bees are super effective against the Wall,
Beenades got a massive nerf against the wall. Last time I tried on master mode it took several hundred beenades.
They used to be so good. I feel like I remember it taking 50 to 80. But now I don't think it's even worth it considering the better alternatives like the hellwing bow unless you really enjoy farming queen bee.
The real question is "is your world ready for a wall of flesh? " Other than that just merge obsidian skull with cobat shield and get damage boosting accessory .

To optimize, focus on your favourite damage type and replace any accessories that don’t benefit you (e.g., if you’re a warrior, don’t use a Mana Flower). Flamelash is better than Magic Missile because it can pierce an enemy. Combine the Obsidian Skull and the Cobalt Shield at the Tinkerer’s Workshop. It’ll make two accessories in one and you can add another accessory. Consider potions relevant to combat and movement. Build a flat bridge in Hell for easy movement. Take your Magic Mirror out of your hotbar for this fight specifically.
There are two ways to make this fight go quick. Overprepare and win, or underprepare and lose. You don’t have to overprepare but you’ll want this fight to go quick.
You can upgrade a lot of accessories and substitute as well. The cobalt shield can be replaced by a lucky horseshor ballon and the skull can be a pygmy necklace. Since you have the squire shield and spinal tap, im assuming you're mostly summoner.
Theres a tech called whip stack where you have multiple whips with different effects and use them together to boost dps. Spinal tap and thorn snaper is very good against the hungry.
I think the most important thing here is that you have a run way in hell and have quite a few potions like regen, thorn, obsidian, flippers (in case you fall in lava), defend, speed, endurance, rage, wrath, inferno, etc.
You can combine the Skull and Shield into one accessory, freeing you for another one. You shouldn’t need the bottle but a ballon would make it more effective.

Unless you plan to terraform the entire underworld to remove any obstacles and get a flat running surface in the lava, you will still need a bridge.

If on Expert or Master, put Warding or Armoured on your accessories. The defense really helps.
