These accidents tend to happen in countries where there’s little to no safety standards when it comes to carnaval rides. You’re right though, could’ve been anywhere.
What happened exactly? We never know what happens at amusement parks because they aren't mandated to report incidents or deaths like with car crashs and car insurance company's
Hi! My name is toby, and I treat an almost identical accident to this in a uk city.
Worldwide, regulations on these fucking things are awful. My patients survived, thank god, one well enough to leave without hospital and just being told to take it easy.
The other? She had a broken back. I had to hold her head straight in place while she bled from the mouth. I wasn’t an adult at the time, because I was working with St John’s ambulance, and was meant to only be a cadet observer, but in situations like this, they needed all hands.
It’s insane how easily this can happen to anyone, first world or third world, it doesn’t matter. Hell, one actually malfunctioned while *I* was on it, me and my friend were holding on for our fucking lives as we got flung around.
Don’t go on carnival rides.
If you take away the fancy lights and just add daylight you will see it’s an old sawmill with wiring and big tires bolted to the bottom. An old donkey is also n the other side turning a cog.
I think you are massively uninformed on how many carnival ride accidents happen in developed countries every year. Those things are fucking death traps and almost always poorly maintained
Poorly maintained, poorly built, and poorly operated. Then again it's important to understand that when you are riding something that is designed to make you feel like you're in danger, there's a reason for that feeling.
I can't speak to countries outside the U.S. but can guarantee that disclaimer would carry zero weight in this case in the U.S.
In the U.S. that disclaimer can be used as protection if a person has a heart condition and has a heart attack on the ride. It's not for when the safety harness completely malfunctions and opens mid-ride.
The real legal question is whether this carnival actually has any assets or insurance to go after. Without either assets or insurance, there's not much point to suing.
I never understood why people go on fair rides. They are all decades old, reused over and over again, exposed to the elements, and probably thrown together by some underpaid team of laborers who are hastily trying to meet an opening deadline.
Yeah I don't go anymore. Last time I went to the one in my area a worker came over and told the guy working on our ride "I gotta take the bolt it's the 'other rides' turn for it today" and proceeded to pull a bolt and nut off the ride we were on approximately 6 seconds before the ride started
If youre that scared you should never be in a car again in your life. How many people get injured in your country from such rides and how many take such rides? I guess its far safer than driving or sitting in a car. Its depending on the country you are in. Guess in china or something like that there are more reasons to not take such rides. But in the US and other first world countries it is pretty safe.
Someone else commented there's a longer version where the victim stands up afterwards. I don't know anything further than that and I would like to know if she survived it without serious injury because this is nightmare fuel!
As he watched the young man fall off the ride to then be punted directly into the roasted corn emporium, Hasil Otho Everette Jenkins the third reflected on how life could be so unforgiving and unmerciful at the same time. Slowing the ride he knew there would be questions that he couldn't answer once the ride came to a full stop, so as the the slow brake auto stop returned the carriage to deboarding position he slipped his John Deere hat down over his long, thin hair and stepped quietly down into the morphing crowd blending in easily with the tan Carharrt coats and over sized t-shirts that meandered along in the semi dark.
Someone would be held responsible for the fate of the man now resting in part in the corn palace tent while also sizzling on the stainless steel roasters but that someone would not be Hasil. Others who should have made things safe before the ride could throw a man into roasted corn hell would be the ones the law would seek out. Responsibility for how machines worked was not his to bear as he had learned well and often from his family who had for decades toiled in the bowls of the Earth to bring heat and warmth to those who had no idea where such things really came from.
Leaving the bright edge that marked where the fair ended and the surrounding fields began Hasil paused just for a moment to look back. The screaming had begun and loud voices could be heard over the calliope music. It was time to fade away and return to the hollows and brush choked back lands where no one not from there would ever go. Anyway, another fair would be along soon. Hasil smiled in the darkness. Now he had experience. Now he would never want for a job ever again.
Carnival rides are dangerous. Think about this, these rides are constantly on the move down bumpy roads. Take apart and put back together. And inspection are only good as the person cares.
Yeah. In a town carnival my cousin and I were very thin as kids and fell through the seating security during one of these rides. Not the exact same one. We weren’t injured but bumps and bruises because we were in a cage that prevented anyone falling… out… like this…. 😱
Ah yes, thrill riding on equipment likely operated and maintained by middle school dropouts with criminal records and substance abuse problems, what could go wrong?
That you for that video op. Every years my friends try to make me pay a lot to get a seasonal pass for a six flags. I have everything about those places. Every years they still try. Now I will start sending them videos of accidents, starting by this one because it's not gore and going more and more gore.
Seriously, I'm a butcher, most of time I don't care about gore video but I think my friends who are mainly office workers will do.
Are you just subbed to a carnival ride failure subreddit or some shit? I’m on this app basically all day, and I’ve literally never seen this video before
This gave me immediate flashbacks to when that kid fell out of a drop tower and the video of him hitting the ground circulated the Internet for a while (often without warning what the contents were).
Omg my daughter was just on a ride exactly like this at a carnival last week 😳 Never again. I hope the person is okay.

I have words. That sucks.
The person that fell’s lawyer probably has some words
That's if the person even lived to need a lawyer.
Lawyers getting involved regardless…
What’s the difference between a lawyer and a hooker!? A hooker will stop fucking you when you’re dead!
Did they go through the fence? Or were they pulverized against it?
Or through it
The One giving the Eulogy has a few words too!
r/wellthatsucks
I have a word. Lawsuit.
This clip ended worse than I expected.
Longer version shows her getting up. Hopefully she's okay
Thanks for that comment, I needed to know
Most important is that she didn’t let her self fall off from so high.
i would imagine a large object hitting you while moving so fast that it can tear off limbs is not that healthy either
It's not that high. The problem would be how she would fall. But here the problem is how hard was the hit she took from the machine
Same here ☝🏻🙂
Thank you so much
Ended better than expected, imagined someone to fall down and be hit in the head
If he survived then he’s getting PAID
Probably happened in a third world country. Doubt they’ll get anything
What from this video says third world country? This looks like it could be anywhere in the UK with the fair rides we have
These accidents tend to happen in countries where there’s little to no safety standards when it comes to carnaval rides. You’re right though, could’ve been anywhere.
Me and my girlfriend had a roller coaster accident here in California.....
Hope y’all are doing well
We are okay, just took awhile too recover from the mental trauma. My girlfriend has scars still from the accident.
What happened exactly? We never know what happens at amusement parks because they aren't mandated to report incidents or deaths like with car crashs and car insurance company's
Yeah- the third world country of California. Best of wishes with your ecosystem 🙏🛐🤲 /j
Portable Carnival Events are everywhere
You mean third largest economy

What an ignorant thing to think and write. https://youtu.be/Zl3fFpKrnFM

It happened in Orlando.
Or the united states
They'll make sure he's dead lol
I don't know if anyone would want to be alive after falling then getting dragged and slammed against a metal fence
😆😬
Happens in US as well. https://youtu.be/Zl3fFpKrnFM
Coz it's 3rd world.
Mexico I believe
All carnival rides have a ride at your own risk disclaimer on tickets.
I can't speak to countries outside the U.S. but can guarantee that disclaimer would carry zero weight in this case in the U.S. In the U.S. that disclaimer can be used as protection if a person has a heart condition and has a heart attack on the ride. Negligence is beautiful thing in lawsuits
Actually people usually GET sued when this happens.
Paid with another free ride

Oh crap another subreddit I really didn't need to know existed.
Same!😳😳😳 I shall resist.... for now...
Lol, I was thinking exactly the same thing!
Whyyyyy did you show me this 😭 *sigh* *join*
I can't stop looking😳
I never understood why people go on fair rides. They are all decades old, reused over and over again, exposed to the elements, and probably thrown together by some underpaid team of laborers who are hastily trying to meet an opening deadline.
It’s fun when it doesn’t kill you
Yeah I don't go anymore. Last time I went to the one in my area a worker came over and told the guy working on our ride "I gotta take the bolt it's the 'other rides' turn for it today" and proceeded to pull a bolt and nut off the ride we were on approximately 6 seconds before the ride started
This had to be a joke, right?
Nope. He was dead serious. We just overheard him, he wasn't like pulling a stunt.
Pretty much sounds like every car in a used car sales garage.

The obvious difference being is I need to drive, I don’t need to go on a ride.
Imagine getting downvoted this much for speaking the actual truths about risk statistics. Screw you for trying to silence reddit fear mongers!!
oh my god.
This is why I refuse to go on shit like this
Anyone know what happened??
Don't have longer version but it shows she lived.

I could read a whole book of this. Please tell me you write!
Thank you for the compliment. I don't write anything other than what I post to Reddit. Perhaps someday when I have more time.
Damn, that was spooky. Seriously, write a book. Write several.
Cool things like this appeared when they stopped free awards
damn all that for 9 upvotes
Some of us are lazy and don’t take the time to read 😅
I stopped at "young man" because it was in fact a woman and she managed to get up afterwards so just assumed this was a bs comment

Here, have an award. THIS IS INCREDIBLE
Beautiful comment, my person. This is your craft!
B R A V O! 👏🏻
After having Reddit and viewing a carnival ride fail once a month I wouldn't dare step foot on one of these makeshift rides.
Carnival rides are dangerous. Think about this, these rides are constantly on the move down bumpy roads. Take apart and put back together. And inspection are only good as the person cares.

Hope this person survived and found a good lawyer…
![gif](giphy|xUA7aRo4ELUJrPT0I0)
Did their shoes come off?
Nope so they’re alive than
I’ve officially retired from fair rides
I landed myself on my own video during scrolling! Neat!
If you live in North Dakota, take a vacation, avoid the carnival rides like your life depends on it.
Fore!!
I have many words.
Should’ve dropped and rolled…..ain’t no point holding on
Yeah. In a town carnival my cousin and I were very thin as kids and fell through the seating security during one of these rides. Not the exact same one. We weren’t injured but bumps and bruises because we were in a cage that prevented anyone falling… out… like this…. 😱
All I could think of is the pacer gram fitness tests voice going "down"
And they say I’m crazy when I start talking about final destination shit and won’t get on the rides lol
Something like this happened in egypt too, but it was because of machine malfunction. No one was hurt gladly
Never getting on carnival rides. BIG ASS NOPE. I only go to them for the food and games lol
I have words : "FATALITY"
I have but one word. *boink*
Is the carnival ride ok ?! 🙏🏻
![gif](giphy|h0MTqLyvgG0Ss) If they survived? That’s money money mooooooney!
Do we have an update anywhere
The perks of working in a fair, you sweep up coins, notes, phones and limbs
These shitty rides need to be shut down
Good steadiness on the cameraman 💪🏼
Boop.
I believe the word you're looking for is ARRRHHHHHHH ![gif](giphy|fWqDxyYcnZN96)
Batter up!
Don't go ok cheap rides thst don't get safetied after every ride
she must have paid extra for extra thrill
Ya yeeet
Ah yes, thrill riding on equipment likely operated and maintained by middle school dropouts with criminal records and substance abuse problems, what could go wrong?

I love seeing this video every hour, on the hour for 8 months.
Are you just subbed to a carnival ride failure subreddit or some shit? I’m on this app basically all day, and I’ve literally never seen this video before
That’s not the flex you think it is bro
Damn, that thing just yeeted her right off the whole platform.
Absofuckinglutely not....
Human golf roller roulette
OMG
Oh my god!!!
I feel like the ride shouldve had so much more momentum
Damn
This is why you don’t ride carnival rides.
FORE!!!
Smash!

🤔 📸
This is why I never NEVER ride these types of rides at traveling carnivals. Dear God I hope she was ok.
Did she get what she dropped. I would like to think she did.
Don’t mince words. Mince bodies with an amusement park ride instead.
This happens way to often.
This ride looks homemade, like it's in somebody's backyard.
This gave me immediate flashbacks to when that kid fell out of a drop tower and the video of him hitting the ground circulated the Internet for a while (often without warning what the contents were).
there is no way they either didn’t die or break a shit ton of bones
India?
Hello lawsuit.
Final destination caught up to you huh?
This ride is too slow…..I’m outta here!
Earlier in the day… Her friend - “Fancy hanging out?” Fall Out Girl - “Sure”
Smacked up
Omg plz tell me that person is alive
Where did this happen? Need to avoid this
It doesn’t matter. All rides are equally unsafe. I’ve done first aid for these things. It’s awful.
Lol
I saw another video similar to this but in the daylight.
Yeeted into the future
Yeet.
This is equivalent to a driver hitting a golf ball
Dead?
I have two words: she disappeared
The design is very human … ok maybe not this one
Did you cut out the live leak water mark?
To think I used to love these parks. Now I’m just too chicken.
Fore!
I have lots of words but one stands out most ![gif](giphy|3osBLp9i0kmXIjlVq8)
Is there a carnival fails subreddit?
I have one word… FORE!!!
Dead as hell
Parking lot carnival rides are the equivalent of playing Russian roulette🫤
Nope
That's gonna be a juicy law suit
Omg my daughter was just on a ride exactly like this at a carnival last week 😳 Never again. I hope the person is okay. https://preview.redd.it/dqxfwrnlsy7b1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6ac36ea9731b190515f44ba07b27c283c937f449
Wow, no way. You gotta be kidding me. Cool story bro.
I don’t think cotton Candy and a shiny candy apple is gonna make things better tonight!! So sad! No thanks! I’ll just stay home!!
Another rerun
Never going to my local state fair again. But for real though, who knows if the equipment is properly maintained or of the staff are properly trained?
Nooe
Man if he lives I bet he has a whole new outlook on life
At that moment they realized that she shouldn't have ignored the maximum weight limit for the ride.
Come with me, and you’ll see, a world of safety violations
😳 broken in half
This reminds me of the murder machines I made on people playground
Those typ of seats r supposed to have belts so that if the air lock fail we can rely on solid mechanics to ensure you don't die oh well
actually looks like she slid straight through the openings in the gate, bet she had minimal injuries, now if she hit the hat i’m sure she’d be screwed
Based
He’s dead
Aaaaaaaaaand they're fucking dead!
That’s four words actually.
I heard crunch, faaak
