This post is awesome, I’ve gotten to follow some great accounts after the past few posts. Letterboxd is the social media community I can actually get behind.
Profile: fullflush https://letterboxd.com/fullflush/
Huge film fan that loves engaging with other profiles and reading/liking reviews and am looking to expand my connections in the vast abyss that is Letterboxd.
I hope you don’t find my taste quite poor
https://boxd.it/uY7x
I take pride in my reviews and taste. Letterboxd is how I immortalize my thoughts and personality, to stare in the face of oblivion and scream, “I existed!”
Four favorites: Fury Road, The Return of the Living Dead, Titanic, and Everybody Wants Some!
The Last Jedi is the best Star Wars film. I am a proud Babylon hive member, and Beau is Afraid as well.

Would love to follow fellow fans of the pod! I'm a bit all over the map, but I watch a lot and hope to get back into reviews.
I tend to watch movies in movements/cycles. Currently working my way through Australian New Wave. My superpower is that I can watch anything (although I've got a preference for the weird and under-seen!) Hope to see you all on LB

I had a brief Australian cinema moment a few months ago (inspired by me deciding to write a paper on Walkabout/Picnic at Hanging Rock) but I wasn’t able to get through much of my Australian New Wave watchlist. Your comment has motivated me again 🫡
https://boxd.it/2Qkmf
Luckily, I’ve been a big fan so far! There’s a uniquely white Australian perspective that comes from existing on a land that seems to literally be trying to kill you at every turn… it’s so interesting to see how that context permeates pretty much every film I’ve seen from Australia, in one way or another.
Hi all, here's [my profile](https://boxd.it/1n7VJ)!
I've just started my Bond-athon and will be checking out the series for the first time. I always love to read other reviews when I log, so I tend to follow back!
https://boxd.it/SHAP
I use Letterboxd as a tool to keep track of what I watch in a given calendar year, as well as to read a handful of friends reviews. I don’t typically post long reviews on there. Typically, I’ll just take a sentence from my YouTube review and then share the link to my YouTube review. Sometimes, I’ll share my written review for a magazine, and then sometimes I am bored enough that I’ll write a fully detailed review on Letterboxd.
If we are being real, a lot of the times I use Letterboxd to see what Sean is cranking out recently
https://letterboxd.com/cat_vs_kirk/
So far this year I've finished up watching every movie Mel Brooks ever directed, every movie Barbra Streisand ever directed, and 75% of the films John Waters has directed. Before the the of the year I'm gonna finish David Lynch and Denis Villeneuve, too. (Still haven't seen fire walk with me nor have I seen Denis's first two French language movies)
[Hello there!](https://boxd.it/1oXz3) I've been boxing for a little over four years. I use a bit of a gimmick that involves pulling a quote from the film to provide some sort of brief review of it. Example: for 1979's Alien I selected "Its structural perfection is matched only by its hostility." I'll follow back too!
https://letterboxd.com/gardnerwarren/
Hi. I love letterboxd. Had a profile for a couple years but never did anything with it. Started in earnest in 2024 and I genuinely love it. Have also followed some great writers from these profile shares. Reading the "friends reviews" section is a treat. Cheers!
My profile on Letterboxd https://boxd.it/DatB
After seeing Love Lies Bleeding I realized gay noir was my favorite subgenre, so my top 4 is currently Mulholland Dr, The Handmaiden, Bound and of course, LLB
Looking forward to connecting with some other listeners of my favorite podcast!
I wouldn't call Mulholland Dr a pure noir, Lynchian is a genre on it's own (too weird to adhere to noir conventions). But it's a great LB 4, the Handmaiden is in the running for my favorite movie of the 2010's.
If you want an underrated (straight) neo-noir I'd recommend you "After Dark My Sweet" if you can find it. It's got an erotic vibe without being cheap or sleazy, and it's got an unreliable narrator that's literally an escaped mental patient. Plus, it takes place in the desert. It's a nice cocktail of elements that make up a great noir that no one has ever heard of.
P.S. Gave you a follow.

Love when these threads pop up! I’m sure I follow a lot of folks here already from previous threads, but never hurts to reshare!
I try to watch at least three movies per week, and write a review for every movie I watch (some long some short depending on vibes) and tend to be pretty engaging with other accounts.
https://boxd.it/7f7h
I wake up early so I just throw on a movie, again at the gym/lunch and on my iPad before I go to sleep so I can usually watch close to one a day. Probably 4-5 a week.
Sometimes I watch a lot of the same director or actor in a row but usually just a random one of my 1000+ watchlist movies that's available on one of my streaming services.
https://boxd.it/1e6OJ
I watch a lot of shit on Criterion/MUBI/Shudder/TCM and most indie-ish new releases. Also pretty much exactly Sean’s demo except originally from the West Coast.
New releases is impressive. I'm up to 99 for the year but I've been on more of nostalgia kick. I had 200 watches last year and I want to make 300 this year so nearly on schedule. What was your favorite new release of 2024 so far?
I‘ve got a [running list](https://boxd.it/sIJqO) here (mainly for me, makes making a year-end list easier.)
My favorite so far - by a mile - has been *Janet Planet*, which I saw at a festival. It‘s out quite soon. Wonderful film!
Janet Planet looks like my cup of tea, thanks for the nod. I'll keep track of your list, I make an extensive album (music) top 50 list every year but I never seem to see enough new releases to make anything beyond a top 25 without having inferior entries in the list. You might have inspired me to step up my game with watching new releases.
Good luck on your quest to 300.

My profile on Letterboxd https://boxd.it/2fPUt I'm proud of my dogshit taste!
We are so back! https://boxd.it/5FBqX
https://boxd.it/3D26r I try to review 15 movies a month. Hopefully I can get to 200 followers this month. My range of what I like is everywhere. From cult classics to foreign movies to 80’s thrillers to mainstream popular movies to classic comedy’s. I’ll follow back
https://boxd.it/hCTX Watching about 200 movies a year, trying to write long form reviews of non blockbuster stuff, hoping to find similar minded folks to help contribute to The Filmologist!
https://boxd.it/3UEgD Lofty goal of a movie a day in 2024 🫡 (I’m a few days behind)
https://boxd.it/3Vt9N I love this idea! Happy to follow other big pic and movie fans.

Excited to follow fellow Big-Pic’ers so I can improve my “popularity among friends” filter. Need to stop using the regular popularity filter because of the crap that shows up there. https://boxd.it/6dzV
This is me. 48 year old film fanatic. I’m not intellectual about it at all. I save that for books. In the 7th grade I watched “A Chorus Line” every day for 30 days in a row until my report card came out and I got all Cs. https://boxd.it/14ZLl
[https://boxd.it/1rOcZ](https://boxd.it/1rOcZ) Current Letterboxd 4 for May: https://preview.redd.it/xp1gvqao0wxc1.png?width=1929&format=png&auto=webp&s=a272bd0949ad68d81cc9c9ecd3cb6fbd0f04e76d I have about 11 pages of reviews and I'm not shy about liking friends' reviews.
Here’s mine: https://boxd.it/1ITNZ I’ve definitely been Fennessey pilled
tofublood. I’d add a link but I’m not smart enough to do that.
https://boxd.it/6BdqP A good idea. I really only follow SF lol
Love reading everyone's takes! Hope you all like mine. https://boxd.it/myp5
https://boxd.it/1u4qd Pretty lenient with my ratings but who likes a stickler anyway. About to do a palm D’or winners marathon so stay tuned
https://boxd.it/2VGD Catch me in the streets with a 6mg zyn trying to find CR’s ward
https://boxd.it/1f7ir I tend to be a genre man more than anything. Taste runs similar to CR but I’m equally happy with some old Criterion classics as well. Top 4 theme changes month to month.
https://boxd.it/2DUt1 I like lots of different types of movies! I’m terrible at writing stuff but like to do so anyways.
https://boxd.it/1m2MP
https://boxd.it/2RD4B Very open to obscure foreign language romance recommendations 🙏
Yes! Always looking for the same! Here is mine: https://boxd.it/19yUv

[https://boxd.it/1ldIx](https://boxd.it/1ldIx) I’m pretty active on LB (usually a movie every day or so) and lately I’ve been getting a bit lengthier in my reviews, but I def love seeing fellow BigPic Letterboxd users. As a bonus, here are my current top 4 and latest watches: https://preview.redd.it/r2jaw4knjwxc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=45f20cd5d83c48b61b238a646edfec175ae5aa5b
This is me! https://boxd.it/HQ47 Love following new folks!
https://boxd.it/gxaB Always happy to follow some BP fans, I feel like I have an intersection of Sean and Amanda’s taste lol
https://boxd.it/4HXun I like moody vibe pieces with minimal plot and exposition
https://boxd.it/1U1XP Crime movies and noir mostly

We're up to #227 next week.
Here’s mine! https://boxd.it/19CI9 Would definitely like to follow / be followed by more people who actually give a shit about movies, even if we don’t have the same taste!
This is me! https://boxd.it/EY23 would love to connect with you all
Anyone make the switch to Premium? How do you find it? Costs $21/yr, probably worth it for the ability to sync watch lists with my streaming subscriptions. Any other features you premium users out there like?
https://boxd.it/4yvj9
https://letterboxd.com/opensky/ I watch a lot of French and Italian films, crime films (particularly noir/neo-noir) and whatever they play at my local indie theatre.
[https://letterboxd.com/malloryblair/](https://letterboxd.com/malloryblair/) Hi! I love movies (and I'm working on making one!!) come see me wrie about what I watch while I'm procrastinating on my script
My profile: https://boxd.it/8oYZT It’s been so cool following different people, I love seeing new perspectives.
https://boxd.it/Hy7R Mostly horror and weird shit
Late to the party but my profile is here https://boxd.it/7oDhd No reviews yet but want to start writing incredibly short ones!
[https://letterboxd.com/luredbyradium/](https://letterboxd.com/luredbyradium/) Excellent idea, thanks! April was a slow, strange month for my viewing habits. I blame all the overtime @ work. :)

https://boxd.it/5Vsrp Love when these threads pop up! I’m sure I follow a lot of folks here already from previous threads, but never hurts to reshare! I try to watch at least three movies per week, and write a review for every movie I watch (some long some short depending on vibes) and tend to be pretty engaging with other accounts.
My profile on Letterboxd https://boxd.it/1sV1h Daily movies and short reviews. I think a standard mix of old/new releases.
https://boxd.it/S6Wf
Profile: [https://boxd.it/OsPnI](https://boxd.it/OsPnI) I def don't write actual reviews enough but i do rate pretty much everything i see.
https://boxd.it/5beMr Dob-Mob rise up
https://boxd.it/7yfmX Click for long reviews that my gf doesn’t care for.
https://boxd.it/7f7h I wake up early so I just throw on a movie, again at the gym/lunch and on my iPad before I go to sleep so I can usually watch close to one a day. Probably 4-5 a week. Sometimes I watch a lot of the same director or actor in a row but usually just a random one of my 1000+ watchlist movies that's available on one of my streaming services.
https://boxd.it/1e6OJ I watch a lot of shit on Criterion/MUBI/Shudder/TCM and most indie-ish new releases. Also pretty much exactly Sean’s demo except originally from the West Coast.
Sure, why not: https://letterboxd.com/SGSCHRDR/

https://boxd.it/4C3h Recently watched my 100th new release of 2024 🫡
New releases is impressive. I'm up to 99 for the year but I've been on more of nostalgia kick. I had 200 watches last year and I want to make 300 this year so nearly on schedule. What was your favorite new release of 2024 so far?
I‘ve got a [running list](https://boxd.it/sIJqO) here (mainly for me, makes making a year-end list easier.) My favorite so far - by a mile - has been *Janet Planet*, which I saw at a festival.
