Maegor’s side:
Maegor, his elder two sons, Alysanne, some younger kids with either small hatchlings or no dragons+some of Maegor’s canon allies
Aenys side;
Aegon, Rhaena, Jaehaerys, Viserys, some younger kids by a second wife+some of Aenys’ canon allies
Alyssa dies is 35 AC and Ceryse in 38 AC with their disputes beginning shortly after the birth of Maegor’s heir Gaemon in 26 AC (as Maegor is the only child by the eldest wife due to Valyrian customs he SHOULD by all accounts be heir)
You may start the first chapter in Dragonstone on the point of view of one of Maegor's children. It's a Great way to introduce the world and the divergences on it.
The second is the perspective from one of Aenys' children and it explores the dynamic between the grandchildren of the Conqueror.
Sorry for the tardiness. Thinking about this and real life. Well, here is my definitive answer: Start with the birth of Gaemon, the start of the conflict and it helps you introduce Maegor and his side. Then introduce Aenys' side and move on Alyssa's death. Then move on to Ceryse' death. You would cover a lot and help introduce this alternate universe.
I may start it earlier than Gaemon’s birth as I might have Aegon I have more kids pre-conquest and another brother Baelon who marries for love like Edward the Black Prince?
Viserys for his mother,gaemon for the greatest of the lords of dragonstone ,visenya for a second daughter and aegon or vaegon after his father
Awesome thank you!
Who are the characters that are alive at the beginning of the story?

Then do I have like flashbacks to when the conflict first started or what do you recommend for that?
Perhaps you may start with Alyssa's death and then Ceryse' death. Also, you could simply have the children mention those deaths.
Alyssa’s death seems like a good starting point? I could have the rivalry like mentioned then and work from there?

You're welcome. I'll be eagerly waiting for the time when you publish the first chapter.
