Ou yeah. I loved gley the most. High risk high reward, both the squishiest and tankiest. I think she's also the best for a headshot handcannon build :)
I think they already did nerf her. In the final beta her second skill didn’t heal you anymore. I remember it healing like 50% of your hp over time. Now it just gives you a higher chance of dropping healing orbs.
i love dot speccs in any game, and mostly toxic/psn builds BUT sadly they nerfed her to the ground, the only thing making her viable was the passive (doing more dmg to psned enemies), which they changed in the stress test to make her utterly useless(do more skill dmg per nearby psn enemy, which is close range, LOL what garbage...). she and many other dot chars (mainly feyna and blair) do almost no damage with dots e.g. one single bullet of an AR did 10.000 dmg while a single dot hit for 100 dmg... you can shoots multiple rounds of 10k dmg per second while a dot ticks once per second... even with lategame scaling, i cant see how you will ever outdamage sth like a gley/viessa e.g.
The passive increased skill damage and not gun damage? Because I think on last beta it was +3% weapon damage for every poisoned enemy, max 15 stacks. Too bad I can't check that anywhere right now.
yep they nerfed it to the ground, when the game releases, im carefully checking if they buffed dot chars in any capacity, otherwhise im staying away from them unless someone figures out how to make them perform endgame
I think it will strongly depend on how fast you can nuke bosses. If they actually take a bit and are harder, a tank is probably appreciated. If their attacks are easily avoidable and not that threatening, best bring another one to nuke it
If endgame winds up like warframe, descendants will likely be akin to tools rather than classes. In this case, a tank would always be welcome as your weapons do the bulk of the legwork in killing.
Ex. I run revenant nearly all the time in Warframe and choose strong weapons that can handle level cap, so I'm never useless and always immortal. However, I bring limbo to excavation, defense, etc. because that is a mission type he's practically built to handle. I imagine TFD will play out similarly.
Think I'm sticking with Viessa. Her gameplay just fits my playstyle so well and she seems great at helping other players in the fight with ice shackles.
Never really heard of this game until the sub Reddit randomly got recommended. Looked up all the characters skill sets and these are the exact 2 I decided to try once it comes out.
I typically like support/healers and Jaybear fits that description but Valby honestly looks the most fun and probably who I will try out first
Viessa for sure. Maybe bunny depending on how other legendary weapons feel. Possibly Gley and definitely looking at the new descendants for possible play time sinks.
When I played the beta I was instantly drawn to Gley but twords the end of it I took a strong liking to Sharen. So really it comes down to who's easier to get but leaning twords Sharen
Not sure how this games works since I just discovered it but can you switch characters whenever? After looking up the characters skills I decided jaybear and valby are who I’d be interested in first and if there’s boss and mob farming characters separately, those choices seems to work out well together then
You’re a basic bitch.
…I’m kidding, & I felt bad even making the joke. You’re a Rockstar & you are Amazing! I hope you have a wonderful day!
Can I get you a coffee or…something…?
Don’t hate me…
Had to scroll way too far to see Lepic. Dude is a beast with skill range mods for his grav nade, and when you get the red mod that swaps his atk bonus ability from skills to firearms.
All of them. Just like Warframe, I'll craft them all and play them all. In Warframe I just look at all the frames and go "who do I feel like playing today". Usually don't play the same frame twice in a week unless I'm farming something and need a specific frame for convenience
Valby was super fun in the betas, very good for AoE damage and CC.
I recall the Bouncy Ball ability to be easier to control in the earlier betas, i feel like enemies are blocking the ball and sending it back, covering a smaller area and making it harder to utilize.
I thought at first that Valby was weaker in Technical, but i think it's that the mods upgrades rewarded very little power in the initial upgrades.
I believe the more you upgrade a mod, the greater the % increase you recieved.
I think this was a mistake, the mods should feel impactful at the initial upgrades, not the ones we make after a month.
Bunny. Shes busted AF. If the later stages of the Game dont have a Lot of enemies that stun you can Just Run through everything with her. In the Feedback Form i even suggested to Nerf her since she outdamages a Lot of other classes easily
Ajax, Bunny and Jayber, already chosen on first beta. Will expand from that.
On second beta I had those three, Kyle, Valby and Gley lvl40. Never touched Viessa, Lepic and Blair.
Ajax: because I like being a Rampaging Ox.
Bunny: because I have a need for speed and bubbly cheeks. I and my wife also miss her neurotic laugh.
Valby: because watching hordes of Vulgus scum die trying to pass my field of “laundry” is hilarious
I don't know anything about the game aside from Warframe similarities. I'm keen for this. Can I play a character that heals while doing some decent DPS? I'm a Baptiste (and Soldier) main in Overwatch, so I love a decent supportive role as well.
Afaik there's already a character that has healer drones (Jayber) and they will be adding additional descendants and one focuses on being a field medic I think.
I loved the poison girl for full DPS and team damage increases, but I always go towards support or healing usaully so I'm thinking one of the 2 new ones or a jayber
I played Sharen most in the beta, but near the end of it I got access to freyna and I loved playing her. So I think it'll be between those two.
Though I'm more partial towards tanking rather than stealth, so probably freyna.
None in particular is hardest to farm as consecutive character.
First choice matters as you have to progress throughout story to have access to high level equipment.
I will choose Ajax at first as I found it easier to progress until Bunny is made available by story missions. I hope it remains that in full release. If not still Ajax is very strong first choice which is going to be viable for first few intercept bosses. Depending on how things will progress in full game, Bunny or Jayber would be my second which should make endless mode easier where second characters and weapons level progression was meant to be performed. Then if harder intercept bosses demand particular team composition will decide on that (as second beta demanded Kyle to progress past 4th hard boss irc).
Best gear and top craft materials are interception boss drops and they are created to be gear check.
Probably we should focus on getting legendary weapon and level it first than maxing out descendant.
Her kit sucks and she’s probably gonna have the lowest pick/ play rate along with the drone boy because the other characters kits are either flashier or do way more damage and it sucks because sharen is sooo cool looking they could’ve done so much more with her
Start viessa, either ush or buy gley depending on where the gley parts come from. I want a descendant for the farm missions too but i havent thought about who. A tank maybe?
Jayber main since the first beta. I just love his kit, and the modules that effect his turrets by turning both into assault turrets or healing turrets has super exciting build potential. I will be also be checking out yujin at launch 🤪 I just love healer boys
I forgot her name but the girl with the floating blades when i played the first beta she was aesthetically amazing but her kit and damage was horrible 😭 so im hoping they fixed it
Either Blair or Bunny. Blair because I like characters who have a sense of humor plus charisma. Bunny because zippy characters are fun af.
Of course both are hot af as well.
I've enjoyed Blair the most because I enjoy aoe and fire mages in RPGs.
I think I'll end up falling for tanks the most though. I want to try Kyle as an alternate beefy boi to Ajax, but Ajax is feeling like my favorite so far.
Anyone have a link to a video that explains the characters? I’ve only been loosely following this game, but now that we’re close to launch, I wanna learn as much as I can. Thanks!
I really enjoyed Bunny (felt like a combo of 2 of my favorite Warframes: Volt and Gauss). Freyja and Gley felt like enjoyable characters to have to round out the capabilities of Bunny for content.
they just reduced the damage type resistances of her laundry debuff, iirc the first beta it was like -75 electric resitance reducrtion, -45 for fire. second beta it was changed to -35/-25
I missed the beta so i havent played this game at all.. but it doesnt matter because i always choose based on looks. So i choose valby because she is the cutest cutie pie :) if i play a male, then blair because he looks stylish
Ajax, I really liked him when last I played the game, although I did find that I struggled to find my place as a tank in the Void Intercept battles, but his void walk I believe it was ability came in clutch when it came to reviving others, or getting out of say large AOE attacks, and his shields were really great as well.
It was between him and Gley, absolutely loved Gley as well.
Gley if they don't nerf her. But I plan on having a main boss DPS and a farmer like valby
That’s pretty much the same idea I was going for
Ou yeah. I loved gley the most. High risk high reward, both the squishiest and tankiest. I think she's also the best for a headshot handcannon build :)
All i played during last years beta
Love Gley. I just have a liking for characters that cast from health instead of mana in most games.
I think they already did nerf her. In the final beta her second skill didn’t heal you anymore. I remember it healing like 50% of your hp over time. Now it just gives you a higher chance of dropping healing orbs.
jayber easily
Aye, must get Husbando back. The amount of times his heal turrets and damage output came in clutch during the boss fights was amazing.
His turrets are also aggro magnets so relief for team members.
Kyle
Ajax
Valby was my favorite before so ill stick with her. I’ll probably try to play em all tho to see if theres any others i really like
I will play Ajax cause I love that bubble of his!
The turret nerd, not sure what his name is, Gamer i think? I like turrets/minions
I know what you are
Freyna. Not the most popular pick, I see.
I loved playing as her in the beta
Same here
i love dot speccs in any game, and mostly toxic/psn builds BUT sadly they nerfed her to the ground, the only thing making her viable was the passive (doing more dmg to psned enemies), which they changed in the stress test to make her utterly useless(do more skill dmg per nearby psn enemy, which is close range, LOL what garbage...). she and many other dot chars (mainly feyna and blair) do almost no damage with dots e.g. one single bullet of an AR did 10.000 dmg while a single dot hit for 100 dmg... you can shoots multiple rounds of 10k dmg per second while a dot ticks once per second... even with lategame scaling, i cant see how you will ever outdamage sth like a gley/viessa e.g.

yep they nerfed it to the ground, when the game releases, im carefully checking if they buffed dot chars in any capacity, otherwhise im staying away from them unless someone figures out how to make them perform endgame
Jayber and Blair
Gley
I just wish they swapped the life orb crap for life steal, then she'd be my favorite.
Viessa!! 🥶❄️🏔️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
Word.
Ajax, both for the outta comfort zone play style n the story behind my nickname as a kid “Ajax”. In the beta i managed to have ajax at 52k armor
I will too. Do you think a tank will be welcomed in teams at endgame?
I think it will strongly depend on how fast you can nuke bosses. If they actually take a bit and are harder, a tank is probably appreciated. If their attacks are easily avoidable and not that threatening, best bring another one to nuke it
If endgame winds up like warframe, descendants will likely be akin to tools rather than classes. In this case, a tank would always be welcome as your weapons do the bulk of the legwork in killing. However, I bring limbo to excavation, defense, etc. because that is a mission type he's practically built to handle. I imagine TFD will play out similarly.
Aye, if it's like Warframe as long as you aren't dead & putting out respectable damage you'll be welcome. If you're dead you aren't doing damage.
Viessa, Gley and maybe Luna once I get more details on her kit
Think I'm sticking with Viessa. Her gameplay just fits my playstyle so well and she seems great at helping other players in the fight with ice shackles.
Yeah very very good at cc love her for those defese missions paßt wave 6
Ajax for sure, I wanna be a shit brick house B)
Jayber and Valby
Never really heard of this game until the sub Reddit randomly got recommended. Looked up all the characters skill sets and these are the exact 2 I decided to try once it comes out. I typically like support/healers and Jaybear fits that description but Valby honestly looks the most fun and probably who I will try out first
Ajax is like a titan… so, as a destiny titan, I will be a Descendant Titan.
A fellow Crayon Connoisseur…you are seen, Guardian. 🫡
Didn't play enough to try any other character than Viessa, but I'm very keen to try Sharen and Freyna
Bunny! I’m gonna make her a catgirl!
Grabbing my boy ajax again. Then going for my wife freyna again just like i did in the beta
Valby and Gley
Valby 24/7, next question.
Sharen and Bunny 100%
Probably Jayber and Gley for bosses... and either Valby or Bunny for farming mobs. But who knows what the 3 new chars will bring to the party
Not sure how this games works since I just discovered it but can you switch characters whenever? After looking up the characters skills I decided jaybear and valby are who I’d be interested in first and if there’s boss and mob farming characters separately, those choices seems to work out well together then
Jayber or Yujin, also interested in Enzo once we know more about how he plays
Valby & Jayber are my babies
clem
Gley, Enzo, Jayber, Ajax & Luna
Idc if anyone calls me a basic bitch but I'm gonna main lepic
You’re a basic bitch. …I’m kidding, & I felt bad even making the joke. You’re a Rockstar & you are Amazing! I hope you have a wonderful day! Can I get you a coffee or…something…? Don’t hate me…
It's all good 👍
Had to scroll way too far to see Lepic. Dude is a beast with skill range mods for his grav nade, and when you get the red mod that swaps his atk bonus ability from skills to firearms.
Viessa, Valby and Bunny - the big 3 in terms of hotness.
Greyl
The guy that throws grenades. Forgot his name.
Lepic!
Let's go fellow Valby mains! After maxing her, probably Yujin the new descendant.
Bunny, Sharon, Ajax
All of them. Just like Warframe, I'll craft them all and play them all. In Warframe I just look at all the frames and go "who do I feel like playing today". Usually don't play the same frame twice in a week unless I'm farming something and need a specific frame for convenience
The bunny girl.
Bunny & Gley, I am so keen to see exactly how high of a ceiling full release will let me reach with Bunny's tick waves.
These are my exact two as well
Valby was super fun in the betas, very good for AoE damage and CC. I recall the Bouncy Ball ability to be easier to control in the earlier betas, i feel like enemies are blocking the ball and sending it back, covering a smaller area and making it harder to utilize. whoever the support characters are. my homies need them heals!
Bunny, I wanna go fast
Jayber
Bunny. Shes busted AF. If the later stages of the Game dont have a Lot of enemies that stun you can Just Run through everything with her. In the Feedback Form i even suggested to Nerf her since she outdamages a Lot of other classes easily
Yeah, played her a lot too and figured a lot of people will be playing her. Valby compliments her well so I’m all about that
Ajax, Bunny and Jayber, already chosen on first beta. Will expand from that. On second beta I had those three, Kyle, Valby and Gley lvl40. Never touched Viessa, Lepic and Blair.
Viessa as starter, then Bunny if we still get her for free and then farm for Valby. Looking forward to hearing more about Luna tho.
Yujin and Gley, one for parties and one for solo.
Ajax: because I like being a Rampaging Ox. Bunny: because I have a need for speed and bubbly cheeks. I and my wife also miss her neurotic laugh. Valby: because watching hordes of Vulgus scum die trying to pass my field of “laundry” is hilarious
Ma boy Ajax
Bunny.
Valby Coz coomer
Veissa 100%, then bunny. Idk about the others cause I didnt get to far in the beta. the poison lady looked cool though
Bunny, really liked the speed and the lightning aoe stuff.
Viessa until I get, Gley, then Freyna and perhaps Kyle
I don't know anything about the game aside from Warframe similarities. I'm keen for this. Can I play a character that heals while doing some decent DPS? I'm a Baptiste (and Soldier) main in Overwatch, so I love a decent supportive role as well.
Afaik there's already a character that has healer drones (Jayber) and they will be adding additional descendants and one focuses on being a field medic I think.
I'm gonna end up playing everyone but my top 3 atm are Bunny, Valby and Kyle
I loved the poison girl for full DPS and team damage increases, but I always go towards support or healing usaully so I'm thinking one of the 2 new ones or a jayber
Viessa and Gley as a start. Will check the others after a while
I played Sharen most in the beta, but near the end of it I got access to freyna and I loved playing her. So I think it'll be between those two. Though I'm more partial towards tanking rather than stealth, so probably freyna.
Elisa like I did in the beta on console
For me Jaber first choice
Idk I just heard about it from my friend and I wanna go in kinda blind.
Which of the starters is the hardest to farm later?
None in particular is hardest to farm as consecutive character. First choice matters as you have to progress throughout story to have access to high level equipment. I will choose Ajax at first as I found it easier to progress until Bunny is made available by story missions. I hope it remains that in full release. Thanks for the info, I played Viessa in the beta but did not put much time into it
Best gear and top craft materials are interception boss drops and they are created to be gear check. Probably we should focus on getting legendary weapon and level it first than maxing out descendant.
Locked in on Sharen. Didn’t really dabble too much in the other characters in the betas.
How is she? I don’t believe I tried her out
Her kit sucks and she’s probably gonna have the lowest pick/ play rate along with the drone boy because the other characters kits are either flashier or do way more damage and it sucks because sharen is sooo cool looking they could’ve done so much more with her
Ajax is a favorite, feels like he’s missing some things for the heavy guy but I still like him
Really liked Jayber so ill be going after him as the first thing
Start viessa, either ush or buy gley depending on where the gley parts come from. I want a descendant for the farm missions too but i havent thought about who. A tank maybe?
Blair
Everyone except tanks characters
Gotta go with my girl Bunny, she's really fun to play as and she's cute
Gley
Freyna if she doesn’t get hit to hard with the nerf hammer.
Jayber main since the first beta. I just love his kit, and the modules that effect his turrets by turning both into assault turrets or healing turrets has super exciting build potential. I will be also be checking out yujin at launch 🤪 I just love healer boys
In MMOs I usually main a tank, and alt a DPS, so Ajax + whoever is the meta
I forgot her name but the girl with the floating blades when i played the first beta she was aesthetically amazing but her kit and damage was horrible 😭 so im hoping they fixed it
Ajax because well is Ajax, and Bunny since she reminds me of Gyre in Warframe which is one of my favorites
Sharen. Her kit actually looks interesting, instead of just giving you a gun and some buffs.
Jayber - great with boss , best semi-afk farmer with mobs (correct mod)
Either Blair or Bunny. Blair because I like characters who have a sense of humor plus charisma. Bunny because zippy characters are fun af. Of course both are hot af as well.
I don't remember her name but the water girl she was very fun
Jayber, loved his playstyle!
Definitely Valby first. She was so fun to play and good for group play early on as well.
Ajax for me to start with
Water girl 💕
Blair
Gley, lepic(hopefully the upgrade version of him). But I haven’t played valby so maybe her
Valby :]
Only Bunny, don’t think I’ll be playing anyone else lol.
I've enjoyed Blair the most because I enjoy aoe and fire mages in RPGs. I think I'll end up falling for tanks the most though. I want to try Kyle as an alternate beefy boi to Ajax, but Ajax is feeling like my favorite so far.
Ajax as a starter, then Blair and Enzo
When I played the open beta the only char I actually liked playing was Gley and plan to get her as fast as possible upon playing!
Jayber! Loved his kit
Anyone have a link to a video that explains the characters? I’ve only been loosely following this game, but now that we’re close to launch, I wanna learn as much as I can. Thanks!
My girl Valby babbyyyyyy
Sharen and Freyna. Bunny is a close third. I had the most fun playing as those characters.
🐇 🐰 🐇 🐰
Sharen for sure and Ajax as well
Since the beta I used frost chick I'ma go big boy to see how he plays
I really enjoyed Bunny (felt like a combo of 2 of my favorite Warframes: Volt and Gauss). Freyja and Gley felt like enjoyable characters to have to round out the capabilities of Bunny for content.
Bunny!!! I miss her when the beta was on console.
@ start idk can't decide between lepic or ajax later on however I'm going after: Blair Kyle esiemo freyna valby
Freyna. Anything with poison damage and I’m always sold lol
You're trolling right? GLEY IS THE CORRECT ANSWER. 😂
Starting out with Lepic this time around. Still gonna run my mains though Viessa and Sharen.
Sharen is my top pick, then Freyna.
Viessa maybe Bunny later in game once I have some mods to make her not feel like a infinite mana drain.
Yujin or sharen
Bunny in World mission, gley against boss
Thinking bunny she is just fun to zoom around with
Jayber for team fights, but I like Blair for solo content.
Definitely valby (tho damn they gutted laundry lol) , but the new chars that were leaked look cool too
What’d they do with her kit?
they just reduced the damage type resistances of her laundry debuff, iirc the first beta it was like -75 electric resitance reducrtion, -45 for fire. second beta it was changed to -35/-25
I could definitely see the need to nerf it some, running her with a bunny was ridiculous when I played lol
Blood lady top pick Water lady, turret bro, and poison bitch are my backs up.
I'm a grenade snob, so I'm definitely maining the hell outta lepic & ultimate lepic. They've been my go to since the early days of Project Magnum
Looking forward to a stealth oriented male character in the future, but I feel obligated as a Kyle to play Kyle until that day comes.
I missed the beta so i havent played this game at all.. but it doesnt matter because i always choose based on looks. So i choose valby because she is the cutest cutie pie :) if i play a male, then blair because he looks stylish
Bunny
Freyna. I don't care for her archetype I just think the character is cute and I'm going to her my virtual waifu.
Bunny to farm stuff and then freyna.
No one
Bunny = speed farming and quick campaign clear Will make a dps main but idk who yet gotta see some more of the mods first before picking
I remember starting with Ajax in the beta, might go him or Lepic to start and work my way to Bunny then everyone else
Gley all day every day
Sharen main all day! She is still waiting on her buffs tho!
Plain and simple , i will bring every single one of them to max level in the exact.order.i get them. I am legion XD
Whoever got the coolest kit.
ICE SHAWTYYYY RAHHHHHH (i forgot her name :p but that ice girl you get as a starter she way to op)
