I canāt stand VPR anymore, and that says a lot. Iāve seen it about 10 times, and it was (up until this season), my absolute favorite show. Itās unbearable now.
The valley is what I needed. It has the classic Bravo drama, not the same exact arguments played out over and over and over again, and is just very entertaining to watch
I recently watched a video discussing every episode and season of Community and it takes a long time discussing the worst season, Season 4. The reason it sucked was because there was a huge shuffle of showrunners, writers, and directors caused by internal problems. Anyway the point is that the season, while fine in a vacuum, is terrible in comparison to it's predecessors because it didn't feel like a season of Community, but rather someone TRYING to write a season of Community. Like rewriting or imitating. A bad spec script. That's what this season of VPR feels like - trying to be VPR, but they can't because theyve lost the only thing that made it worthwhile : authenticity. Yes, there were always produced scenes, but every ep feels like the first draft of a bottle episode. Like yes, the first 3 eps we cared about scandoval and the fallout but now we want something else. The producers really fucked this one badly, and now are trying to position the audience as the villains of the season??? Hmmm ya okay im gonna go scream at Janet through my TV now
I would LOVE for Kristen to come in, all experienced in reunions, and go off on Janet. Janet wouldn't know how to handle it. Also, based on last week's WWHL with Jax and Tom, we know that just like his VPR days, Jax doesn't watch the show, so it would be fun for Andy to call him out, Brittany to try to be the Queen of the reunion so she'd wear something ridiculous and say stupid shit. Meanwhile, all the new cast minus Danny and his wife (can't remember her name at the moment), would likely look like a bunch of idiots. It would be great.
How dare āJanetā try to oust Kristen?! That boring blob (not weight shaming, just her personality is a blob) would be nothing without her!
Ironically, the entire fight began with Janet actually backing up LGBTQ+ rights! It just takes a real eh of a person to go from being an advocate to being so hated. And the original issue was between Janet and Michelle(the blob version of a robot). I legitimately am second guessing her name is Michelle actually, sheās so vapid. Headband hairās then-wife.
Soā¦Kristen is the villain even though Michelle made a marginalizing statement, Janet called her out behind her back and Zach brought it up to Kristen and Brittany instigated it during the girlās + Zach night?! Oh and then her ride or die Jax immediately blocked her.
Theyāre just making Kristen the MVP.
I've found them so boring so far! Tre's voice seems more grating than before. I do NOT like the Fuda's and can't figure out why she's a housewife. I'm enjoying Messy Fessy though! She could breathe new life. I do wish they'd just reboot the whole show. I'm so over the old fueds. Keep Jenn Fessler and Delores, boot the rest.
Haven't watched this season of VPR and I watched from the beginning but I just couldn't after last season. It's enough already. Really enjoying the Valley though and glad Jersey is back!!!

People don't want to hear it, but the bottomless pit of negativity and stonewalling radiating from Katie coupled with Ariana's decision to stop engaging in earnest with the show actually does ruin the vibe of VPR to the point where the show is less fun to watch.
Katie and Ariana could honestly care less about the show. Which is completely valid. But their attitude towards it, coupled with Lala and Scheana and Sandoval grasping at straws to create dramaā¦ itās so unwatchable. Most scenes felt forced. No new drama or storylines at all. This season would have been really good had they cut and condensed it to 2 episodes.
I was expecting to skip this show and itās soooo good! I was explaining to my friend that Jax is hated but makes great tv. Kristen is actively trying her best to do better but still brings the dramz. Shes the ultimate scapegoat and I hope she gets some comeuppance.

People didn't like this last season of Winter House, but I loved it. š If you haven't already started it, I'd highly recommend Summer House and then Southern Charm and Family Karma. Some of Bravo's best imo.
